I quoted Paul. And we know when the Holy Spirit is poured out over you in the Book of Acts they were saved.
But in Saul's day, he only had to follow the Law and offer sacrifice. He did that.
I know why they did it. God did not need to anoint Saul but He did. And the Old Testament is a foreshadow of the New Testament. Something many in this thread clearly have no understanding about.
Then what is Philippians 2:13 all about? That sounds like God, independently of the believer, bringing to pass His good pleasure.
Nope. Salvation has always been by grace through faith. The Holy Spirit has been around since the beginning...Genesis 1:2. The law was never able to justify anyone.
Think on terms of Genesis 6 and that representation of persistent sin.
“And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
God destroyed those who were persistent in SIN and were not planning to change.
Think about Sodom.

Nope. I was just showing you that God acts independently of men. Men are always to respond to what God is doing. It doesn't say for men to act independently of God, but in response to how He is changing them. That is God doing inwardly in a person without permission from the person. He doesn't ask to come in this way; He merely declares it. This is reminiscent of creation. God sovereignly acts in accordance with His purpose and none can alter this...Daniel 4:35.
So, that's all Saul, or anyone else under the Old Covenant, had to do was: "Follow the Law and offer sacrifice", and they were good to go?

Paul is showing you that verse 13 works with verse 12 that you keep ignoring.
So Moses is not saved because Jesus died and the Old Testament saints are not saved because Jesus died for them after they were followers of the Law?
I told you how they related. God works sovereignly in us, and we respond. Did you ask God to do this or did He just do it?
Is Moses, Joshua, the Prophets saved now? They followed the Law and when Jesus died brought their salvation.

Once you verse 12 is fulfilled verse 13 is done. You are cherry picking again.
