Its a poor argument.

Again, if his word went out, then everyone would be saved.
if th power was in the word. The word would make everyone wh hears or reads understand.

You still have God forcing people to believe and others to deny.
No I don't. People either believe or do not believe. I don't have anyone doing anything.

You can't even admit that God's word doesn't always go forth to save. The word of God is a two-edged sword.

We disagree. We are saved by grace THROUGH faith. The verse goes on to say that this is not of ourselves. What is not of ourselves? Salvation? Grace? Faith? Some? All?
And that faith is not of ourselves but it is a Gift from God. Faith, like repentance (2Tim 2:25) is granted to God's elect on behalf of Christ:

Phil 1:29
29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him

NIV

But Gods word does nto say this

it says whoever will believe will be saved.

God will is that whoever hears and believes will pass from judgment.

If it always accomplished its purpose. We would not have evil in the world today.
And what if all the "whoevers" of the world are only God's elect? Faith, after all, is a gift from God. You can't take Jn 3:16 and isolate it from all the other relevant salvation verses in scripture. What you going to do do: Pretend God never predestined anyone unto salvation in eternity?

Probably not to you. Can you prove it was only the idea?
"We are saved by grace through faith" This is not of ourselves. It is the gift of God.

If that we are saved by grace through faith [in Christ] is not of ourselves, what more could it be referring to as being not from us, other than the idea of God saving us by grace through faith? What do you have in mind?

Salvation isn't an idea. It has reality. The same with grace and faith. The idea of each did originate with God, but so does the reality of them. In other words, the idea of salvation isn't the gift; the reality of salvation is the gift.

I am worried about the gospel.

And the fatalistic flaw of Calvinism.

Better yet, What if they are elect because God knew what they would believe and what they would not?

Faith, after all, is a gift from God.
yes it is, Without the cross. Without the scriptures. Without the people God puts in our life to help draw us to him, and without The conviction of the HS. All the work of God. we would never have anything, nor any reason to have faith.
You can't take Jn 3:16 and isolate it from all the other relevant salvation verses in scripture.
You can;t take John 3: 16 and make it say something it does not say.. or add or subract to it to make it say something it does not.

What you going to do do: Pretend God never predestined anyone unto salvation in eternity?
I believe in predestination my friend. I just reject fatalistic predestination. which is not found in scripture.

I like looking at it this way

We are saved by Grace, not of works. This is literally what it says.

then it adds. This salvation by Grace is through the means of faith - IE God will not force you to take it..

I'm concerned about people and reaching them with the Gospel. Calvinism never is a consideration for me.
Me neither. Just because we believe in election and predestination doesn’t mean we follow a man named Calvin. We are followers of Jesus. :)

The Doctrines of Grace are far from fatalistic. They are filled with hope for all those who come to realize that just as Jeremiah was thrown into a very deep, dark pit, we all, too, came into this world cast into such a pit, as it were by Adam's sin, and as helpless and hopeless as the prophet until he was rescued by outside help from the Cushite on the order of the king. We, too, can only be rescued by the King who sends his Holy Spirit to rescue us. We are simply powerless to rescue ourselves. How is this "fatalistic"?

Hearing the Gospel preached.
So far removed from the metaphors of sheep and shepherds. How is it that scripture is so misunderstood?

P.S. Wasn't Israel at one time the sheep of GOD's pasture? How did that happen?
