I've just had it defined two hours ago by a Calvinist bright frame, who's a lot more hardened than you are

He said totally depravity means depraved and spiritualy dead.

Now I'm asking you how is a man totally depraved if God has put a seed into all man, his word is the light and a seed.

The scripture says all men get a seed.

Are you doing to ignore this.

Or at least acknowledge they've been given something that God can respond to
He's wrong about depravity, at least as far as Calvin was concerned. Depravity simply means man was corrupted from his original estate. Total depravity just means every aspect of man was corrupted. In salvation, God deal with every aspect that was corrupted.

Good to have someone with knowledge on these boards. I am sure we will be discussing many issues in the future.

I like the diversity or your Septuagint versus my Torah/Tanakh even though mine is the true original text
But the denial of the Deity of Jesus from Old to New Covenants could bite you in the butt around here.

I believe everyone is Biblically knowledgeable here but the person I said that to is strictly Septuagint. I only see that in hybrid Yiddish groups. So even though I believe that person is claiming to be Christian, and I know I am, his Septuagint and my Hebrew is much like Sadducee versus Scribe in a good kind of way.

Just saw where the FED issued a Digital Dollar here in the USA.

Talk about sign of times.

US Conservative Christians Denied Bank Access Under Biden Policies

WASHINGTON – U.S. banks and financial institutions are cancelling bank accounts and other services of American conservative Christians due to their “religious and political views” under the policies of President Joe Biden, Worthy News learned from several sources.

The federal agency tasked with protecting the financial system from illicit endorsed a list of “hate groups” that critics say could make it a “financial crime” for conservative Christians to open bank accounts.

This text simply says that God knew Jeremiah as a fertilised zygote, his unformed substance, and was involved in Jeremiah's growth in the womb, recording every event and every day as he was being formed. That is how God knew Jeremiah before he was formed in the womb. And God had a plan in mind for Jeremiah proclaim God's messages to the nations. There does not appear to me to be any need to add to this text some extraneous foreign idea of God knowing and choosing Jeremiah from before the creation of the world.
a zygote? Nah …

Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

In your opinion since what I say makes no sense to you. But I have said nothing that implies we do anything but Accept what we hear when the Gospel is preached.
In my opinion?

You said WE HAVE TO GO BE BAPTIZED to be saved and receive the spirit.

Its not my opinion. If I was wrong you would correct me. But you keep doing the opposite

  1. Since we come into this world – dead in our sin
  2. Since we have no desire to please God
  3. Then why, by free will, would we choose to believe unless we were changed?
  4. Does our free will allow us to chose that which we do not desire?
Where does pleasing God come into the equation?

No one even a calvinist would have a desire to please God until AFTER he has received the love of God and been saved.

Your desire is to be saved, to Have Gods mercy applied to you.

But doesn't faith come by hearing. If they heard, why isn't faith the result? Would someone who had faith stop up their ears and stone someone?
do you do everything you hear?

People who have faith opened their ears because they were convicted and seek to understand.

People who are convicted by the words yet love their sin stop their ears. so they do not hear they run from the words of conviction and back to their sin

its not rocket science.

If faith comes by hearing, and someone has heard, doesn't this imply they have faith?
No,

It implies they have the possibility to have faith. it does not mean they will have faith.

do you have faith in everything and everyone you hear?
And if someone has faith, would their response be stopping their ears?
This question makes no sense.

These sound like reasonable questions to me.
lol.. really?? are you honestly saying this?

so what about when you sin in your saved state.

How is it you don't go back to being totally depraved.

An individual doesn't produce faith. Hearing comes from God and yields faith. Thus, we believe because we've been acted upon by the Spirit of God employing the word of God. So no, stopping one's ears and stoning the preacher wouldn't be evidence that God was at work. Repenting and getting baptized would be.
When the Bible speaks of faith coming through hearing, do you believe the individual has done this or God? Do you believe biblical hearing involves simply hearing audibly or engenders the impartation of understanding to the hearer?

Because salvation involves the partaking of the divine nature. God the Holy Spirit takes up residence in you. One of His functions is to convince you of sin and lead you to repentance.
