Fear or Faith -----Rest or Chaos ----

Important to Get in my View

When we are working to get God to move ---God is Resting

1711371635290.jpeg

Mark 4:38-40 NIV

38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

I say ------
When we Rest in God ---God is Working

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

I say
Who is in Your Boat when the storms come ??------Fear or Faith

Easy to talk the talk =====Hard to walk that talk in the heart of the storm ------

What would you do === speaking honestly ?-----

How close are you to Resting in God =So He can Work on your behalf when your Boat is taking on Water and is ready to sink ?

Personally Speaking -----I still have a ways to go before I get there ------although my Faith and Trust in God has come a long way --Could I quench my fear of Drowning in a sinking Boat ----and Rest in God to protect me -----

I think my Faith would be like the Waves crashing against the Boat and coming over the side --wavering up and down =back and forth which would make my Faith unstable in my time of need ---so My own labour to be saved would make God rest and be ineffective in my protection -----

How Freeing it would be to be able to have the Faith and Trust in God so we are at total rest in Him to work for us and bring us out of the Storms of Life -----

God/Jesus is in control of my "boat" during storms or calm seas. On the mountain top, or in the valley. God does not want to be our " co-pilot," He wants to be our Pilot!

Trust me, He is far better at navigating the storms of life than we will ever be.

I definitely agree with this statement ----

The Question is if you were in a boat that was sinking would your Faith Waver ??????--

Would your be running around the Ship in fear looking for a way to save yourself ----or would your Faith be strong enough to trust in God to save you even as you sink into the water with the Ship -----

The Disciples were with Jesus and they were in Fear of their lives -----their faith wavered -----even while God was in the Boat with them -----

You can't be in Fear and in Faith at the same time ----

Your either in Fear or your in Faith ----

Where you be in this situation ----In Fear or in Faith ------

It is easy to Talk the Talk ---that your Faith would prevail as the ship was sinking -----But it is very Hard to WALK that TALK in the Midst of the Storms of life for most people ==== I would say

Having Great Faith is a life long walk ---not one of us will ever reach that type of Faith in our lifetime --in my opinion

I suppose many today would be grabbing their cell phones to call their beloved pastor for his/her solution expecting him/her to fix it.

To this point in my life, no. My "boat" has sunk more than once, and He has always kept me safe and secure in His mercy and grace.

... if you were on mission, if you are being sent somewhere for a purpose then you KNOW that your boat cannot sink.
Ordinarily if we's saved we have our final destination so whether we sink or not we know we are saved.

Very true statement -----

Easy to talk the Talk ===Harder to Walk that Talk as the ship is tilting sideways and your hanging on for dear life not to go into the unknown shark infested waters ------

Easy to sit in our comfortable chairs in our homes and say we are saved and therefore I would have no fear of sinking as I am saved ------

What would happen if you were actually in the sinking boat ----would your faith waver at all ????-----or would you have that grounded and rooted Faith in God that He would rescue you from this danger either physically or eternally as you sink with the Boat ------

If we are saved anyway and know we are going to heaven ----why not just go ahead and just jump in the water and let ourselves drown when we know the boat is going to sink anyway and our fate is then sealed ----why bother hanging on ----

What would be our mindset at that time -------The Disciples had God aboard their Boat and they were in Fear not Faith ----

Are we sure our Faith would hold up under the weight of the sinking boat ?------or would fear creep in ??

well I haven't been in a sinking boat, haves to be honest.

But what if you got no money, no job, no address, just the clothes you stand up in? and all this when you BELIEVE that God must save you and cannot forsake you.

Once this happened to me, not once but twice, not three times I was in this situation.

On that 1st occasion I had one pound which I spent on a tube ride to Fulham, I walked into a job bureau and a card FLASHED out at me and I knew I was to take it, it was 18 miles away and the interview was for 10. 00 am next day.

I walked that 18 miles and slept under a bridge next to the Thames. I washed and shaved in the Thames in the morning and arrived for the interview, the fourth of four others.

The first guy went in and presently came out shaking his head
The second guy went in and came out likewise saying "the job has been taken"
The third guy came out saying the same.

I was pulling on my coat when the manageress came out and asked "didn't you come for an interview?" I said "yes miss but all the others have said the job has been taken" "Yes" she said "YOU have it, I saw you walking up the path and decided straight away that you would have the job"

She said she only had one problem, the guy whose place I would take had walked out leaving them high and dry "I'll give you £20 if you can start right away"

God always provides, He saved me by miraculous provision on the other occasions too.

I have been in a sinking boat one mile out to shore.

The water would of caused hypothermia with in two minutes, if I had sunk.

Suddenly there was a gust of wind that blew harder and quicker, before I knew it I was on other side.

I was so relieved, I wouldn't of made it other wise. It filling up pretty fast.

Strange thing that when I started of there wasn't any wind

I knew the boat was damaged but I had to get to other side, it was the only way I could change my destiny at the time, it was a case of sink or swim, I thought.

So I prayed and I looked in myself, and I saw myself reaching the other side and the boat filling up with water before I set of, so I trusted in Jesus and of I went 😊
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Recently, God has renewed my life at the age of 62. Before that for some time I was living in fear a lot. I still have "fears within" (2 Corinthians 7:5) at times. "Perfect love cast out fear" (1 John 4:18). This proves Gods love can bring us peace even though things come against us from the world.
