I didn't see any mention of children in ACTS 16:33 we can't just assume that some family members were immature juveniles.
If the text doesn't specify it, we have no right to superimpose our preconceived conclusion to it.
Ditto to you: stop superimposing your preconceived conclusion to the matter.

So one cannot be assured of their salvation??
I never said any such thing. If you read again you'll see I said "only God knows who is saved and who will be left in their sin". I said that because salvation is not our choice, it's God's choice.
So no other person can reassure you of your salvation, except for God Himself. So your salvation is only known by you and God and no other person can know for sure.
Some goats may fool other Church members that they are sheep, but they will get a rude shock when Jesus says, "depart from me into the lake of fire, for I never knew you".

I didn't claim it does and it's quite immature to suggest that I did.

Your comment "If you believe that a false Church can save people" thus my comment. Not immature to comment on what one sees.

I was responding to someone else who's wording suggested something to that effect
Then that's the comment you should have made to me. Simply " you misunderstood me".

Apparently people believe they are saved when they are not, also.

So one step at a time, you believe you can know you're going to heaven.

I said that because salvation is not our choice, it's God's choice.
Not sure I would agree with that...

It usually doesn't take a whole lot of discernment to tell a sheep from a goat, they usually aren't as good at hiding it as they think they are.

Just a quick question

But is the word pastor actually in the bible.

Is it not ministers,

And I was just wondering can a care worker, a brother or a sister minister and minister Gods word.

And is the church now not Gods people rather than a building.

So I'm asking could my wife minister to me if I was lacking, and would that not be classed as ministering to the church seeing as I am his church also.
A lot of words we use are not in the Bible, because we use modern English now.

I don't know how long you've been a Church member or if your Church is Biblically valid. But if you need to be ministered to by unqualified people, it suggests that your Church Minister is not teaching you or he is lacking accountability. In that case I would look for a new church to join.

The Church was never a building, the Church is the body of the Lord Jesus Christ

You'll need to go back and find that I was paraphrasing another member who said that

I'm not interested in what people privately believe, because there are millions of conflicting worldviews and belief systems. I'm only interested in the truth of the gospel and the whole counsel of God.

What I find here is people plucking Bible verses out of their intended context and trying to apply them to unrelated matters.

Uh... you just got finished telling us something different.

Any who, I am sure some of us know of those who thought they were saved
at some point and then reneged. They are also represented in Scripture.

And I certainly agree that Jesus knows His Own.

He still rejected the child's application for Church membership
That is not in the text anywhere. You are making things up and claiming they are Scripture. The warning of Revelation 22:18 is on your head.

Yes I know I'm saved and nothing will snatch me out of the hands of the Lord. So I can never lose my salvation and God has promised me His Kingdom and I know God doesn't lie or break His promises.

Men discernment and judgement is very much hit and miss, so it very unreliable and we can easily be fooled. But nobody can fool God. Remember how Judas fooled everyone except for God, well we still have many Judas's in the church today.

Only God and myself know that I'm saved and nothing can make me lose my salvation I have never claimed to know who else is saved and who the reprobate are. Only God knows that

There's no such thing as former believers-Christians or saved people. You must be taking about those Judas types who made a profession of faith, but then they were exposed by their evil deeds

That's what we've been telling you. Ezer kenegdo. Look it up.

In every mainstream version of the Bible, the phrase ezer kenegdo (in Hebrew, עֵזֶר כְּנֶגְדּוֹ) is translated from the original Hebrew to mean (some variation of) “a suitable helper” or “help meet.”

That's what people that think woman can be church leaders fail to understand by their refusal to accept what God says on the matter.

Women were created by the Lord to serve in a helper role not in a role of authority.

Only men can serve in a role of authority according to scripture.

Quote from - 1 Timothy 3:1-13

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desires a good work.

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife

Quote from - Titus 1:6-9

If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God

Quote from - 1 Timothy 2:12,13

I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man

Related TRUTH from Scripture:

1 Corinthians 11:8,9
For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

Genesis 2:18
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Concerning 1 Timothy 2:8-15
Paul gave two reasons, both of them are theological not cultural.

1. The created order: Adam was first created as an independent person, then Eve was created from his rib to be his helper. She was therefore not created to be independent of the man in authority.

2. Eve, and consequently all women, were placed under a penalty of the curse. This included pain in childbearing and that her husband would rule over her.
