Objections against Jesus' resurrection

There are theories from critics that people have held to over the years to say Jesus did not rise from the dead.

1... Jesus only swooned on cross

Here are some big problems with this and why this theory bit the dust..

The crucifixion process can kill someone before they are put on the cross.

So let's assume Jesus somehow survived that.

Well then the grave clothes would have suffocated any life left out of Him!

How is he supposed to say I'm the risen Christ to the disciples in this mostly dead state?

Yes..so this is one theory that holds no water

And how would they back up their claim?

Another theory was Jesus hypnotized the disciples to believe He would be resurrected.

Problem with this is He would have not just had to hypnotise the disciples (12 people at once would be incredible anyway) but the 500 people who saw Him also.

That would give Him hypnosis power that basically no one else in history had.. giving Him deity powers anyway!

But.. the thing is with this theory.. and the first I put down.. is they are unintentionally agreeing with some of the gospel:

Jesus-- really living.. really dieing... and that the tomb was empty.

None of this surprises me. Given that there are hundreds of millions of people who do not even believe God actually exists. They prefer to believe they are descendants of some chimpanzee, or, even worse, some gooey blob that crawled out of the ocean a gadbillion years ago. Yean, none of this surprises me.

This is an interesting take in Eastern but I’m not sure why even bring it to a Christian circle for discussion.
This is a typical and tired atheist argument which is done to death.
Because people who believe this are the equivalent of believing that the Earth is flat. They’re considered a fringe group, even according to Wikipedia which are (most likely) non-believer leftists.

And you also have to distinguish between a non-believer and an atheist. A non believer is most likely an agnostic, but an atheist is actually a person who rejects God and is angry at God and these are the people who are considered fringe, who say that Jesus did not resurrect.
This is a long and tired topic so not sure why even bring it here in a Christian circle.

As far as Muslims go, they're a bit confused and it's sad because they were the enlightened ones during Europe's dark ages in science, mathematics and astronomy and now they've gone so far back ... where it's sad to see.

I, along with the members of my church are prepped up and happy for this joyous season which is the defining moment of Christianity, where Jesus defeated death and rose from the dead after performing other miracles prior to this.

Anyone is welcome to challenge this event logically and reasonably with an open mind (like i did when i was an atheist) and you end up realizing that this event is the best thing that has happened to humanity ever!
It gives us a renewed spirit to continue our journey here while separated from God ... for a while ... but forever changed for being allowed to appreciate this event that God did for us by sending His son so we can know Him personally here in our fallen world.

Lee Strobel is another case where he found God by trying to challenge this very notion, that the resurrection of Jesus was false and ended up becoming a Christian in the process when he was following the evidence.
You can refer his movie and documentary to any atheist but most likely they're going to reject it because they're not looking at things with an open mind. Most likely, they are angry at something that happened to them in the Church with some immature Christian or Priest or are angry at God Himself and blame Him for some tragedy that happened in their lives.

So glory to God for all things and for blessing us with Faith in Him.

Yeah, this theory doesn't hold water of the body being stolen for a lot of reasons.. but one of the main ones being.. if the disciples did this.. why would they then die for the cause of believing He is risen? It would be a bit ridiculous to carry on to the point of death proclaiming a lie. They would have more likely said 'no. It was a fabrication.. don't kill me.'

This theory though.. also like the first and second ones.. agrees with Jesus living, having disciples who followed Him, dieing.. and the tomb being empty.

Yea, I remember as a university student, joining a Campus Crusade for Christ club..called Tandem. (The Crusade in the name became un PC and associated with brutality killing of muslims).. Josh McDowell was a supporter of Campus Crusade (CRU in America, and Athletes in Action).

When the DaVinci Code movie came out, we were doing an evangelism outreach by taking a non Christian friend to it and then talking about it afterwards.

Like you say though .. most don't have an open mind and their heart is hardened. Also the movie was made not that well and no one was swayed its message anyway!

We were all thinking.. we gotta fight against the message of this movie..but the movie was such a fizzer, there was no controversy.
