Deacon/servant… it’s the same Greek word.
Except when the Bible speaks of the "office" or a deacon, just like the "office" of an elder/bishop. Both offices are reserved for married men who have shown that their children are not out of line.

These are consequences, not curses. There is a difference.
The worse "cursed" is used for the serpent and man. While the word cursed is not used for the woman, I believe all three, as well as all creation, were cursed based on context.

KJV Genesis 3

[14] And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
[15] And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
[16] Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
[17] And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Yep, but not all servants are deacons. Scripture defines the office of a deacon. I’m going with scripture and you should too.

Being capable of preaching, doesn't justify allowing women to preach in any way. The Bible is very clear, that it's unacceptable. God must have a good reason for not allowing women to preach in the Church.
Women can and should preach the gospel, but they should not pastor a local church.

God made man and women alike yes women can do anything they put their minds to just like men. But I cannot imagine a women back in those days, going out to different places and start preaching. The mentality then was very different, and these times were most likely dangerous for women to move about long distances away from home as today but probably more then. God said go forth and multiply, this is the main reason they cannot serve as preachers, the family structure is sacred and has a purpose, It is not by lack of capabilities that they women could not but due to duty to the family unit of bearing and raising children. I think the writings of Paul did not help the cause of women but reduced it to a basic biological role of procreation and weakness and I disagree with this. do not forget Paul was a pharisee taught by pharisees.

One day perhaps things will change.

No, it does not. Do your homework and don’t make claims about the content of Scripture that cannot be supported by actual Scripture.
Here we are again. The thing is that there is a different scripture understanding between the Pro and Contra sides.
If you see the present situation between man and woman in society you find out that the authority of man becames very down. ( As all authoritys common)
And an authority from a woman becames dominate. There is today no different between the world and most of the churches.
I believe that the word is clear. And it is not because a woman is less worth then a man. Or a man could better preach and lead.
It is, because it is Gods plan!
The question to us is, to accept this or to accept it not.

So is the Scripture given from the Holy Spirit or man's ideas?
Is that what Paul wrote Gods word, given from the Holy Spirit or not?

please see that only paul said these things, Christ and his chosen 12 did not. Paul was a pharisee I think it reflected what he was taught that's all.

God Himself is a male, so Jesus being the Head of the Church and Christians His Bride shows that a woman's place is to be subordinate to her husband, just as the Bride of Christ (the Church) is subordinate to Him.

The Churches who have allowed women to become ministers are not obeying Gods created order

Exactly, and this is the entire point - they are not following the Lord which is an open door for deception.

Disobedience always provides an open door to the devil.

This is why the devil wants women in positions of authority over men as it's an easy avenue for him to bring forth false doctrine based on emotions rather than what the Lord's Word teaches.

There is a reason why the devil has been so involved in the feminization of men.

Most men today are big old sissies!

The question to us is, to accept this or to accept it not.

Yessir that is what this comes down to - will we obey what God says in His Word or go our own way seeking to do our own will as to be popular among people who are all about serving self instead of the Lord.

Luke 6:26
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

yes but i wanted to make the point that women and men are just as worthy but unfortunately many think women are inferior because of paul's words and they are not. Women's role is just as important (and it is a very difficult task in today's world) in maintaining the family structure.

BTW this family structure as many know, is being destroyed by design today. There is great evil threatening all of us this day.

Peace

Did not Paul write through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit?

not what i said, dont go there.
It seemed to me you were implying Paul's teaching on this was influenced by his Jewish training and did not carry the full authority of the Holy Spirt. If that's not what you meant, what did you mean exactly?

Yes in fact what He wrote came from the Father, Who gave it to Jesus, Who in turn instructed the Holy Ghost to tell Paul to write it down.

But, this is what people do when they don't agree with something they see in God's Word, they try to explain it away. Other times they ignore scriptures they don't agree with altogether

I talked to a lady "pastor" about all this once and she said that the only reason Paul said what he said was because in the day and hour Paul lived in women were not allowed to do much and that's all changed in our modern time so we can ignore the things Paul said about women not being pastors / deacons / church leaders.

In my travels many small country churches don't have a male to be pastor. My sister attended a church like this who had a female pastor, she was a single older woman. I assume you believe it's better the church be closed and sold rather then have a female pastor.

"And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression." 1 Timothy 2:12-14

Did the woman stop being the one who was deceived? Did Eve somehow become the one who was formed first? Was Paul simply speaking from a cultural perspective and from his religious training when he said this?
