In Mark Chapter 8. Verses 14 to 21.
Just like the disciples, I simply do not understand what Jesus meant. He talks of the leavened of the Pharisees and of Herod, then about the numbers of loaves with which the thousands were fed.

Could someone please clarify this for me.

Matthew makes it a little clearer:

[Mat 16:11-12 KJV] 11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake [it] not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12 Then understood they how that he bade [them] not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

As you will note the word "doctrine" (teachings) is what is meant. Leaven (yeast) is a symbol of corruption in Scripture. Their doctrine was corrupt because they were teaching the doctrines of men rather than the Word of God. they were changing what was in the Bible to suit themselves.
