I'd never heard of them until now and to get a synopsis, read an article claiming that these believe other races were created out of mud, and are so-called 'mud people,' before God made Adam out of clay in His image.

"One of the key figures credited with coining the term "Christian Identity" and elaborating on racial and political theology was Wesley Swift, a Methodist minister who founded the Church of Jesus Christ—Christian. Ah, sounds like the "serpent's seed" doctrine. William Branham taught that as well.

The Christian Identity movement, characterized by beliefs in white supremacy and anti-Semitism, traces its roots back to British-Israelism. This movement sought to establish white Anglo-Saxons as the true chosen people of God, with the belief that the white inhabitants of the British Isles are the actual tribes of Israel. The formal articulation of these beliefs occurred in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with the establishment of the British-Israel-World Federation in 1919

One of the key figures credited with coining the term "Christian Identity" and elaborating on racial and political theology was Wesley Swift, a Methodist minister who founded the Church of Jesus Christ—Christian. Swift's teachings rooted anti-Semitism in biblical justifications and promoted the idea that Jews were the literal spawn of Satan and Eve from the Garden of Eden

The Christian Identity movement emerged in the United States in the 1920s and 1930s as an offshoot of British Israelism. It advocates a racial interpretation of Christianity, asserting that European peoples are the descendants of ancient Israelites and God's chosen people. This movement is characterized by beliefs in racial segregation, opposition to interracial marriage, anti-Semitic views, and white supremacist ideologies

Overall, Christian Identity is a controversial and extremist movement that promotes divisive and discriminatory beliefs based on racial interpretations of Christianity. It has been widely criticized for its racist, anti-Semitic, and white supremacist ideologies.

What is/was the source of this post? I wonder because I know you have an unapologetic bent

Okay, where did the name of this group come from? What were they trying to say by calling themselves that?
It was started by the Baloney Boys back in '92

Just because some crazy people used the word "identity" does not mean every time you see that word the crazy people are involved. Identity simply means what someone identifies as.

American citizens identify as Americans, that doesn't mean we all think we replaced the Jews.

As a born again Christian, don't you identify as a born again child of God?

If not, you are backslid and need to get right with the Lord again and start being who He said you are.

Ah, sounds like the "serpent's seed" doctrine. William Branham taught that as well.
He taught that because he was a pervert and had dirty sexual thoughts all the time.

He also taught other false doctrines such as annihilationism, oneness of the Godhead, predestination, and eternal security

Wasn't he a snuff dippin redneck that married his step sister?

.plain and simple the lord chose mount Zion has a place from where he would dwell

Zion is a place sir where he also chose the Israelites to dwell.

People are called Zionistw because they believe there more special than anyone else. Having been born in that place.

And Christian behave the same way.

The word is Zionists sir.

Plain and simple the Zionists have been sent into exile.
But there is a HUGE difference between Zionists and common hubris.
Also a huge difference between "there" and "their".

And "Zionists" have not been sent into exile. They are a religion and radical political activist group that is borderline terrorist.

Zionists are those who are actively trying to make the racial Jews the ruling class among people. Including control of all trade and the Temple Mount for the Temple.

"Christian Identity (also known as Identity Christianity) is an interpretation of Christianity which advocates the belief that only Celtic and Germanic peoples, such as the Anglo-Saxon, Nordic nations, or people of the Aryan race and people of kindred blood, are the descendants of the ancient Israelites and are therefore God's 'chosen people.' " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Identity

Just to be clear I don't have anything to do with this group. I'm just curious about the origin of the name. Why would white supremacists choose this name? What does it have to do with their philosophy?
Why did you post only wiki? You seemed to have searched on this so you know there are a few other sources out there that do not say what you posted. My guess is this one fit what you wanted to say? Its quite a insult to so many believers going back 2000 years gave their life, suffered such evil saying "we are Christians" and your not one of them? I don't think you fully understand this.

I can understand if we only look at this one way as in all the wrong, sins "Christians" did in His name. Persecution of Jews over the Centuries by Christians is not something new and is just looking at one area. A scholar that is Jewish knows Hebrew and Greek when talking about this persecution "Christians" 'we" did Centuries back will always say to them "Forgive us" as I do. Yeah.. we own it were not perfect make mistakes .. I am one of them that follow Christ, imitator of Christ , born from above aka Christian.

I'm aware of who Zionists are and there movement, but borderline terrorism, that's an understatement, sir.

Radical yes but not just any old radical but extreme radicals

You do know the Zionism movement was founded by an atheist.

Anything radical sir is capable of anything and Zionism does exist within Christianity, they have this idea that there a superior race.

Heres a short video that should educate you. But Zionism goes a lot further than this just this video.

I believe the anti-Semitism may be traced back to Antioch, but I certainly could be very wrong. However, this suspicion has always loomed in my heart.

I know what this group's about, but I've never understood what the "Indentity" part was supposed to mean. I've searched this but can't seem to find a good answer. Anyone know what it means?
The theology of the Christian Identity movement tells us what we need to know.

Christian Identity theology is a controversial and fringe belief system that emerged in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is important to note that this theology is not representative of mainstream Christian denominations and is considered by many scholars and religious leaders to be outside the accepted teachings of Christianity.

Key tenets of Christian Identity theology include:

  1. Identity of True Israelites: Adherents of Christian Identity believe that certain white European groups, particularly those of Anglo-Saxon descent, are the true descendants of the biblical Israelites. They claim that these groups are the chosen people of God, and not the Jewish people.
  2. Racial Supremacy: Christian Identity theology often promotes a form of racial supremacism, asserting that white Europeans are superior to other races. This can manifest in racist ideologies, discriminatory beliefs, and, in extreme cases, advocacy for segregation or violence against non-white groups.
  3. Anti-Semitism: Many Christian Identity adherents harbor strong anti-Semitic sentiments, rejecting the notion that Jews are the chosen people of God. They may propagate conspiracy theories about Jewish control or influence in various aspects of society.
  4. Interpretation of Scriptures: Christian Identity followers interpret the Bible in a way that supports their unique understanding of racial identity and God's chosen people. They often reinterpret biblical passages to align with their racial and theological views.
It's crucial to emphasize that Christian Identity theology is considered a fringe and extremist movement. Mainstream Christian denominations strongly reject these beliefs, as they deviate significantly from traditional Christian teachings about love, inclusivity, and the universality of God's message. Christian Identity theology has been associated with hate groups and extremist ideologies, and its influence remains limited in the broader Christian community. (ChatGPT)

Nothing in your post says anything about what "identity" means to those in the group or why that term was chosen.

I believe the word, 'Identity', is not a specific name but a loose term. That covers a collection of race related theologies.

Much the same as, 'Protestant', which does not refer to a specific denomination or even a fixed theology. The word, 'Protestant', is an umbrella term rather than a specific name.

Most of the White Supremacist cults teach that their ideology is based on the Bible, and they can therefore also claim to be Christians. They influence people who are not really familiar with what the Bible teaches, or are even genuine Christians.

But nowadays it is not White Supremacists who are too influential. Rather it is Black racists who are doing the reverse of the White Supremacists, and the government is encouraging them. They can commit any crime, but it does not matter. They are exempt from all accountability. At the same time Biden and his thugs are painting all conservatives as White Supremacists, and even comparing them to the KKK. This generates hatred against law-abiding people who reject Communism.

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.

The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway: so that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: and they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:15, 20, 25-26, 30, 32-34, 36-37, 45-46‬ ‭

I’d say it goes back to breaking the covenant they made with God that said a whole lot like this in it

Well I identify as a Christian and I really don't care who has
a problem with that because being a Christian IS my identity. thumbsup2.gif
