Unfortunately, those who are most in need of your edification are also those who are the most blind to it - they are simply unable to hear, understand or accept what you've been telling them. For now, at least, it's just outside of their power to do so.

To BillyBob in #1102: John 3:16 (perhaps the most famous verse in the Bible) makes it perfectly clear that each person must believe that Jesus died for her/him in order to be saved.
"For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
The sacrifice covers all sin for all time for everyone, but belief is required. If I give you a gift, you must either receive it or not.

The Holy Spirit does it to the person who yields to Him.
He just don't possess you and make you be saved.
