I dabble a bit. I use Reaper (digital audio workstation) virtual instruments and a MIDI keyboard (but an 88-key semiweight... once you go 88 you just can't go back) to make soundtracks for songs I want to sing at church.
A DAW is also useful for odd jobs. Sometimes someone at church will want a song to have slightly less bass, or cut out the annoying guitar solo in the middle, or whatever, so they can use it for the sign team or a drama skit. It comes in handy.
I also run old records and cassettes off to computer so I can save them as digital song files. Got more than 2,000 songs from old records.
