Yes,
the Bible tells us There was a 1st age (before this one) when God created us (in supernatural bodies in that 1st age)... We are now in the 2nd age(in flesh bodies, our 2nd body).

God created us long ago in supernatural bodies.(God has not destroyed anyones supernatural body yet).

So we do have 2 bodies, (but in different dimensions). One body(our 1st body, 1st age) is made of supernatural material, our 2nd body (2nd age)is of flesh material.

There was a rebellion in the 1st age (supernatural bodies) led by lucifer where some chose against God's ways in that first earth age .

God has a plan of salvation where everyone now has to also take on a flesh body which is an exact "image", (replica of our supernatural body).. we look the same in our flesh body, as we do in our supernatural body ... We have 2 bodies. One supernatural, the other flesh.

He also came down in the flesh as Jesus, to die for sins and pay that ransom to save us...that whomsoever will can choose Him instead of being blotted out. Those who went against HIm can be saved if they choose, thru the Lord Jesus Christ to reconcile us to the Father.

He has to destroy lucifer and those who choose to follow it instead of His Way.
Rev 12 speaks of that 1st age , as does Matthew 19:4( "in the beginning" is the 1st age... He made them male and female... Genesis 1

Genesis 1:26-27
God included Himself when He said “Let Us make man" (flesh man ) in our "image”
and was born of woman also as Christ Jesus.

We are the same "image" in our flesh body, as we are in our supernatural body... we look the same... just in a flesh body that gets old and dies.

Genesis 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.(in the beginning is the 1st age)
2) And the earth "BECAME without form, and void"; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.(God removed that 1st age and started this 2nd age)

Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us (God is talking to us and including HImself that He is going to give each of us and Himself a flesh body, a 2nd body) make man( flesh) in our "image", after our "likeness": (we each will "look the same" as our supernatural body... our image or picture of ourselves.. male or female)

Gen.1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God showed some of the prophets their supernatural bodies in Heaven...In Heaven's dimension God showed them talking with those in Heaven in their supernatural body. John for example, and Daniel recognized themself and saw themself talking with those in Heaven, and no flesh can enter Heaven, so they had to have seen themself in their supernatural body which is also in Heaven and has not been destroyed.

God's plan of salvation
What is this nonsense and where are they getting it from?

‭‭Mark 16:15-18 NIV‬‬
[15] He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. [16] Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. [17] And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; [18] they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

I am not sure if accompany means they will do it or false followers because he said this also:

‭‭Matthew 7:22-23 NIV‬‬
[22] Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ [23] Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Don't forget Mark 16:16-18, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

Just a friendly word of advice: don't base anything on the verses at the end of Mark 16. It has very weak evidence of being valid Scripture. The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not contain Mark 16:9-20.

They already had the gifts. No gifts are being given in 1 Cor. 12
1 Corinthians 12:4-11, "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines."

All of this is in the present tense.

Do you think that God (including the Holy Spirit) has changed His character over time? Do you think that the spiritual gifts were given to only the people of Corinth and in the first century only?

Please read the entire chapter of Acts 2. After having spoken in tongues Peter did indeed preach the Gospel. That Christ was crucified, buried, and resurrected, and that God has made this same Jesus both Lord and Christ.
There is no evidence he preached in supernatural 'tongues'.

Since we do not really know what was said when Peter spoke in tongues, we cannot make any judgment on the content. "The wonderful works of God" could also include everything about Christ and His work. The finished work of Christ is also a wonderful work of God.

This is where the speaking in tongues started.
It happened when the disciples after they were filled up with The Holy Ghost.

ACTS 2:1-4
2
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

If we ask Jesus Is Speaking In Tongues still available today?

This is Jesus answer.
MATTHEW 24:35
35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

What and how is Speaking in Tongues?

Who must answer this question?
The Teachers & Doctors of The Law or Jesus himself?

And it is therefore pure speculation to assert that the apostles evangelized 'in tongues'.

No it is not. Stop using the word "tongues" and you will understand that they would have been enabled to speak FOREIGN LANGUAGES by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thomas went all the way to India and converted many. How do you think he communicated? God empowered him to do so. Others went to other parts of the Roman empire, no doubt communicating in the various languages and dialects. That is why Christianity spread so rapidly. The seven churches in Asia Minor is a good example. Cappadocian Greek was a different dialect. Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, (Acts 2:9).

Where does it mention the "satanic " gift of tongues? I have never heard of that before.
Then you haven't been listening. After all, satan always has his counterfeit. investigate "Witch doctors", and Shamanism"

There are cases where one __could _ speak in tongues but shouldn't, otherwise Paul wouldn't have written I Corinthians 14:28 and other parts of the passage.
One can ALWAYS speak in tongues in the "Prayer mode", and the Corinthians were an undisciplined bunch obviously given to "Showing Off" their gifts. So a person in a meeting to blat off in their "Prayer Language" and there's be no Interpretation, because there was no message.

Bottom line - if the Holy Spirit burdens you to speak a Tongue in a meeting, He's already burdened the Interpretation, and you don't have to be concerned about there not being one.

No Argument. THE FIRST TIME, though, is a bit scary -
Speaking in Tongues, whether for the whole assembly or to yourself silently in prayer or praise, not so much. On the other hand, being prompted by the Holy Ghost to give an Interpretation for the Edification of the Body, can be scary and fearful. Because the Interpretation is in the majority language of the assembly. Now this fear or scaredness comes from the heart in reverence to God. Because you want to be absolutely sure what you say is Truth for the edification of the Church. But truth is twofold 1. Once you speak the first word, because it is up to us to yield to the Spirit, the Spirit takes over. 2. The more you allow God to use you or exercise the gift so to speak, the easy it flows and quite common become natural.

It looks like you are backtracking, reversing your stance on an area of agreement. There is no evidence at all that the apostles were supernaturally empowered to speak in languages that they did not know to proclaim Christ crucified and resurrected. It's possible that's what they said in Acts 2. They could also have been praising God. Blessing God is something that could be done 'in tongues' according to I Corinthians 14.

No other passage mentions anything about the apostles evangelistically preaching 'in tongues', whether natural or supernatural. We read their messages in Greek. That's it.

And from what I have read, it is likely that a third century Thomas went to India and started those churches there, and his memory was likely conflated with the apostle Thomas mentioned in scripture.

Others went to other parts of the Roman empire, no doubt communicating in the various languages and dialects. That is why Christianity spread so rapidly.
We are talking about what the Bible teaches, not what you imagine must have happened.

The seven churches in Asia Minor is a good example. Cappadocian Greek was a different dialect. Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, (Acts 2:9).
There is nothing in that verse about the apostles preaching the risen Christ 'in tongues.' I have also read about Cappadocian Greek diverging from more mainstream Greek in the Byzantine era and afterward. Do you have any evidence that they could not understand Koine Greek in the first century?

The OP is: Is speaking in tongues still available today?

Since I have spoken in tongues for 47 years, the answer is definitely yes.

Why are you discussing various forms of ancient Greek?

And it is therefore pure speculation to assert that the apostles evangelized 'in tongues'.
No it is not. Stop using the word "tongues" and you will understand that they would have been enabled to speak FOREIGN LANGUAGES by the power of the Holy Spirit.(Acts 2:9).
We are dealing with two main Chapters in the Bible. Acts 2 and 1 Cor. 14.

In Acts 2 what we have, is similar to an altar call or praise service, when everyone is either praying to or praising God to themselves or with someone. This is tongues (human or angelic). Allowing spectators that know the language to understand.

In 1 Cor. 14 This Chapter is specifically directed at Tongues that require an interpretation. This kind of tongues is done for the entirety of the congregation (sign to the unbeliever) during powerful moments of silent in the church and no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. This tongue no one knows and needs interpretation (serves for edification of the believer). If no interpreter they are to keep to themselves.

The tongues spoken on the Day of Pentecost were understood as known human languages previously unfamiliar to the speakers. Acts 2:6,8 mention that the bewildered crowd, composed of Jews from various nations, heard the apostles speaking in their own languages, declaring the wonders of God. The text does not provide a verbatim account of what the disciples said, Acts 2:11 summarizes that the crowd heard them "declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues." This suggests that the content of their speech was praise and proclamation of God's works, possibly including the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and the inauguration of the New Covenant. On the Day of Pentecost, as described in Acts 2, the miraculous event of speaking in tongues enabled the diverse crowd of Jews from various nations to hear the apostles speaking in their own languages about the mighty works of God. This initial miracle of speaking in tongues served as a sign and drew the crowd together and then Peter stood up to address the crowd and deliver his sermon, the context suggests that he spoke in a common language understood by those present, likely Greek or Aramaic, which were widely spoken in the region at the time.

The tongues mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14 are primarily understood as a spiritual language that does not necessarily correspond to human languages (1 Corinthians 14:2). Paul indicates that one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God, uttering mysteries by the Spirit. The emphasis in 1 Corinthians 14 is on edification. Paul contrasts speaking in tongues with prophecy, highlighting that prophecy is superior within the church assembly because it edifies, encourages, and comforts the church (1 Corinthians 14:3-5). Speaking in tongues, unless interpreted, does not edify the church because the congregation cannot understand the message (1 Corinthians 14:5, 13, 27-28).

Hope this finds you well my friends. God Bless

One thing is essential to know those who Intrepet the utterance IN TONGUES must know it is not a translation of the unknown tongue it is an interpretation. Tranlation is taking what is said in one language and saying it or writing it verbatim or as close as possible in a different language.

Interpretation is given by Inspiration to the one who interpreters. Why is this important? If the person's translation it is knowledge the person can learn or acquire and be of the flesh

Those speaking by Inspiration are to be judged by the word of God. What is said, not a translator. The key is not what is translated but what is

1. Lined up with the word of God
2. bring glory to God
3. edify the body
4. Comforts
5 Exhorts/ Build up

Translations do not do that Inspiration does which comes from the Holy Spirit.

None of this makes any sense. And as we have alreayd discussed "unknown" doe not belong in that chapter.
