The arms of Jesus are spread wide to receive us all. Whosoever believes is His family.
What could be more beautiful, more generous?
I think it is the best thing I ever heard. Also the least deserved by us. Not one of us is worthy, certainly not me. Yet we can all have it, we need never be lonely and desperate any more.

Sure nice when you do though. There are people out there that take pride in their work.
I am lucky I have a good place to take my car for repairs, they are efficient, courteous and reasonable in price.

It is very hard indeed. I have a dear friend who's like a brother to me, who's a plumber and i trust him. He's done amazing work in my home with plumbing, some electrical work and even with finishing a room in the attic for me.
Price-wise he's way way lower compared to others also considering today's prices too where everything has doubled.

So i get free electronic stuff for him and help him at his house with anything technology related. I installed some cameras for him for free and installed a new wifi system all over his house.

That is fantastic, you show your appreciation. It means you both benefit and that's how it should be. We each have different skills, so together we make life better.

In Hawaii the cost of living...rent, food, land, etc. are higher than the costs in the continental 48 states but many will pay a premium to live in what they call paradise. Hawaii is beautiful.....so is your "home" (when you are away for a long time). :)
 
i checked prices when i was there. on the average, everything was 3 time the cost as in the u.s.a.
 
Our rents have at least doubled since covid...

And pretty much every time I go grocery shopping,
I wonder how some people can afford to eat any more.

I thought about this. But food and shelter aren't optional. Cutbacks come from other places. Cable, vacations, large purchases generally take the hit. Savings for food has people buying off brands and cheaper cuts of meat. Pretty soon we'll all be eating wish sandwiches.
