Sounds like my neighbor Up the road.

BTW, I road my mountain bike down possum hollow one winter. Roughest backroad in WV. Barely made it. It was icy and couldn't believe there were houses along it.

I'm from Tennessee, and I have known people that have eaten 'possum because thats all they had to eat! A lot of people in my area still raise chickens.

My neighbor just likes to hit them. I'm not for starving forlack of game. Look up my thread on "Best small game"

I couldn't eat a possum cause they are just too cute.

Join the folks in Wausaw, FL, the first Saturday in August, and celebrate the annual possum festival. It's always a possum good time.

I bought my first two possums from a little private zoo in Florida. They had a huge gator in their pond. Wausaw sounds familiar. Do they have a web site?

My uncle had one he caught in a trap. My dad taught me how to handle them and they will play dead and they do hang by their tails.

That's a really cool experience. My Dad and uncle were like that too. Dad would catch skunks and snakes and introduced me to wildlife too.

They just want you to support their weight with an arm under the body as you steady them with the base of the tail. Young juveniles can take it, but heavy adults are like other animals and can become injured as they struggle dangling by the tail in someone s hand.

I had a neibor on holloween die Skunks Cat colors. He used a kids pool with a cement block in the middle with food on it. He filled it partway with water. Once, they had to swim, he added different dies at different times of the day.

He would get skunks to swim through the dye?

I'd bet they'd eat cats and dogs too .
I used to camp along a rural trail where a lady would take in strays and tie them up for food at her home.
