He didn't reduce, He summarized...

Romans 13:9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

The summary does not delete the details. :)
Thanks for the correction-

Rom 13:9 For the mitzvoh, LO TIN'AF, LO TIRTZACH, LO TIGNOV, LO TACHMOD, SHEMOT 20:13-15,17; DEVARIM 5:17-19,21) and any other of the mitzvot (commandments) is akitzur (restated, in summary), in this dvar Torah, V'AHAVTA L'RE'ACHA KAMOCHA ("You shall love your neighbor as yourself" VAYIKRA 19:18.)
Rom 13:10 Ahavah (agape) does no wrong to the re'a (neighbor); therefore the fulfillment of the Torah is ahavah.

Rom 13:9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Rom 13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

6) "It is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely," (en to logo touto anakephalaioutai) "It is summed up in this expression, as follows," (en to) namely or like this: Mat_22:39-40; Mar_12:31; Gal_5:13-14.

Breaking one commandment you break them all - again quoting and contrasting only from the Ten Commandments
That should be enough to convince you that you do not keep the commandments, but I doubt it does, even though it's right there in black and white from your own hand... break one, you break them all. And now we have one who thinks he keeps the commandments while bearing false witness! The delusions of some sometimes never cease to amaze...

Jesus wouldn't give us commandments that He asks us to keep, without giving us the power to keep them. I don't know how one can interpret we are not to break the least of the commandments to mean the opposite, but God gives us free to will test any theory we want, even though He gives us plenty of warnings.

Creation Week, day six
[Gen 1:27, 31 KJV] 27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. ... 31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Adam and Eve were not Jewish

Creation Week, day seven:
[Gen 2:1-3 KJV] 1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Blessed and sanctified, i.e.made Holy

Though God does not need rest:
[Isa 40:28 KJV] 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding.

Jesus is the creator:
[Col 1:13-17 KJV] 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

The Sabbath was made for man:
[Mar 2:27-28 KJV] 27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

If you put this all together, the Bible says that immediately after creating mankind another day occurred and God created the Sabbath and spent this time with man.

At the end of time:

[Rev 12:17 KJV] 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
[Rev 19:10 KJV] 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
I asked ChatGPT.

How is a person "saved" in the New Testament?

What is the relationship between faith and works?

The answer will be a literal reading of the New Testament and not a theological interpretation of the N.T.

ChatGPT

The concept of salvation in the New Testament is central to Christian theology, and there are various perspectives on the relationship between faith and works. The primary means of salvation, according to many New Testament teachings, is through faith in Jesus Christ. Different Christian denominations may emphasize certain aspects of this relationship differently. Here are some key aspects:
  1. Faith in Jesus Christ: The New Testament emphasizes that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This faith involves a personal trust in Jesus, acknowledging Him as the Son of God who came to redeem humanity through His death and resurrection (e.g., John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10).
  2. Grace through Faith: Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV) succinctly expresses the idea: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." This verse highlights that salvation is a gift from God, not something earned through personal merit or works.
  3. Works as a Fruit of Faith: While salvation is not achieved through works, the New Testament teaches that genuine faith is evidenced by a transformed life and good works. James 2:17 (ESV) says, "So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." This passage emphasizes that authentic faith is active and produces righteous deeds.
  4. Salvation as a Process: Some theological perspectives view salvation as a process that involves initial faith, ongoing sanctification (growth in holiness), and eventual glorification. Philippians 2:12 (ESV) encourages believers to "work out [their] own salvation with fear and trembling," indicating an ongoing process of living out one's faith.
  5. Not by Works Alone: The New Testament consistently emphasizes that salvation is not achieved by human efforts or adherence to a set of rules and regulations. Romans 3:20 (ESV) states, "For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin."

You do not keep the Sabbath commands. Nobody can.
We are strangers on the internet, you have no idea what I do.

Jesus would not give a commandment without giving us the power to keep them. My faith is in Him.

It’s actually wisdom. If you knew Magenta you would know that.

Wisdom says “If any man approach God based on his works-based righteousness, he is double-minded in all his ways.”

So, this same man will claim one thing and live another.

I will add this: you hide things from your loved ones and church leaders and are accountable only to yourself. Such a man is easy pickings for the lion who prowls looking for a meal.

Something you ain't going to like-

2b1. Because it looked to him, and centered in him; it was a shadow of
good things to come by him: the feasts of tabernacles, Passover, and
Pentecost; the sabbaths of the seventh day of the week, and of the seventh
year, and of the seven times seventh year, were shadows, of which he is
the substance:
all the ablutions, washings, and purifications enjoined by
it, were typical of cleansing by his blood: and all the sacrifices of it, daily,
weekly, monthly, and yearly, all pointed to his sacrifice.

On the evening of the sixth day, on which he died, he was
buried, and he rested in the grave on the seventh day, the Jewish
Sabbath;
and fulfilled thereby that type of him, and put an end to it;
which made way for the first day, as a day of religious worship, which
immediately succeeded it, as none so proper as the next day: so that a
time, or day of worship, was not in the least intermitted, nor ever since
was one wanted; and on the first day, which was the third from his death,
he rose from the dead, and so fulfilled the type of Jonah;
who, it is
reasonable to suppose, lay no longer in the belly of the whale than our
Lord did in the earth; namely, one whole natural day, and parts of others;
the Jews having no other name for a natural day than a night and a day;
which the Greeks call a night day; and a part being put for the whole, both
might be said to lie three days and three nights; that is, three natural
days; the one in the whale's belly; the other in the heart of the earth: they
lying there some part of two natural days, whether the night or day part
of them, and one whole natural day (Matthew 12:40).

Heb 4:10 for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

but the Gospel rest is here meant, that rest which believers now enter into, and is at this present time for them, Heb_4:3 and though true believers are entered into it, yet their rest, peace, and joy in Christ, is not full; they enter by degrees into it, and by believing enjoy more of it: and this is to be laboured for by prayer, hearing the word, and attendance on ordinances; and this requires strength, diligence, and industry; and supposes difficulties and discouragements, through the corruptions of the heart, and the temptations of Satan; and this is designed to quicken and awaken a godly jealousy in God's people, over themselves:
lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief; into the sin of unbelief, and into punishment through it, as the Israelites did; who sinning, their carcasses fell in the wilderness, and they entered not into God's rest, as he swore they should not: true believers may fall into sin, and from a degree of the exercise of grace, and of the steadfastness of the Gospel; but they cannot finally and totally fall away, because they are kept by the power of God; yet they may so fall, as to come short, or at least seem to come short of enjoying the rest and peace of the Gospel state: external professors may fall from the Gospel, and the religion they have professed, and come short of the glory they expected; and fall into just and deserved punishment, in like manner as the unbelieving Israelites did.

Let us therefore strive -- Verb - Aorist Subjunctive Active - 1st Person Plural-- Literally, “let us be zealous,” or “give diligence” (2Pe_1:10-11; Php_3:14). The word is saying that one "should be eager" to attain the rest God's has for us.

This is one of the 14 "Let us" passages in Hebrews. Four times in the same chapter. (ESV) Heb_4:1; Heb_4:11; Heb_4:14; Heb_4:16; Heb_6:1; Heb_10:22; Heb_10:23; Heb_10:24; Heb_12:1; Heb_12:28; Heb_13:13; Heb_13:15;

strive to enter that rest, -- This exhortation is directed at believers whose lives should be characterized by perseverance (Heb 4:3). Those who enter God’s rest will participate in the great Sabbath celebration at God’s throne, upon Jesus’ return (12:22–24).

1) "Let us labor therefore," (spoudasomen oun) "Let us therefore be eager;” God's children are saved and called to labor, Eph_2:10. It is in the daily pursuit of their calling, working for him that they find the greatest degree of rest or refreshment of the soul, Joh_9:4; Ecc_11:6.

2) "To enter --Verb - Aorist Infinitive Active--into that rest," (eiselthein eis ekeinen ten katapausin) "To enter into that rest," also. The idea is "with view to" entering into that final rest when we, shall be judged for rewarding "according to our works," 1Co_3:8; 1Co_3:13-15; 2Co_5:9-11.

But I'm not here to talk about law-sabbath or water baptism-but Jesus Christ and Him crucified-resurrected-

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.-Selah-[pause-and calmly reflect upon this]
Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

I love all of God's Word, but you're conflating the annual sabbath(s) with the weekly Sabbath. These are very different as already explained here What are his commandments? - Christian Chat Rooms & Forums

Regarding Hebrews 4:10

Please read this very carefully..

Heb 4:10 for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.

So to enter in Christ rest one ALSO rest from their works as God did from His. When did God rest from His works?
This very passage tells us.

Hebrews 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place (Mt Sinai) of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

So to rest in Him we also keep the Sabbath as the seventh day is the Sabbath Exo 20:10
And why the Sabbath rest v9 which literally means Sabbath-keeping remains for God's people.

We don't want to follow the same path of disobedience to The Sabbath as the Israelites as they did not enter their rest because they defiled the Sabbath Eze 20:13 Exe 20:21

Heb 4:11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

We can't walk in His Spirit if we are in rebellion. He does not force Himself on us, John 14:15-18, we have to cooperate and have a willing and moldable heart.

I asked ChatGPT the following question.

Is there a difference between a sabbath rest day and a day celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ?

ChatGPT

Yes, there is a difference between the Sabbath rest day and a day celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  1. Sabbath Rest Day:
    • The Sabbath is traditionally observed on the seventh day of the week (Saturday), according to the biblical account of creation in Genesis.
    • The Sabbath is part of the Mosaic Law and is one of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:8-11).
    • In Judaism, the Sabbath is a day of rest, worship, and reflection. It is characterized by refraining from work, attending synagogue services, and spending time in prayer and study of the Scriptures.
  2. Day Celebrating the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Sunday):
    • Early Christians, following the resurrection of Jesus on the first day of the week (Sunday), began to gather for worship on Sundays. This practice is seen in the New Testament (e.g., Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2).
    • Sunday came to be known as the Lord's Day, commemorating both the resurrection of Jesus (which happened on a Sunday) and the creation of a new covenant.
    • Christians view Sunday as a day of celebration, emphasizing the victory of life over death through Christ's resurrection.
    • Unlike the Sabbath, there is no strict legalistic requirement for rest on Sundays, and Christians are not bound by the detailed regulations associated with the Sabbath in the Mosaic Law.
While the Sabbath has its roots in the Old Testament and the Mosaic Law, the Christian observance of Sunday as the Lord's Day is grounded in the New Testament and the significance of Jesus' resurrection. The shift from the seventh day to the first day of the week reflects the Christian understanding of a new creation and the fulfillment of the Old Covenant in Jesus Christ. The two days have distinct theological and historical backgrounds, and their observance carries different meanings for Jews and Christians.

End ChatGPT.

The plain reading of the New Testament does identify the Sabbath and the Lord's day differently.

  • Unlike the Sabbath, there is no strict legalistic requirement for rest on Sundays, and Christians are not bound by the detailed regulations associated with the Sabbath in the Mosaic Law.
This is beyond debate, the literal reading of the New Testament is clear.

all the ablutions, washings, and purifications enjoined by
it, were typical of cleansing by his blood: and all the sacrifices of it, daily,
weekly, monthly, and yearly, all pointed to his sacrifice.

On the evening of the sixth day, on which he died, he was
buried, and he rested in the grave on the seventh day, the Jewish
Sabbath;
and fulfilled thereby that type of him, and put an end to it;
which made way for the first day, as a day of religious worship, which
immediately succeeded it, as none so proper as the next day: so that a
time, or day of worship, was not in the least intermitted, nor ever since
was one wanted; and on the first day, which was the third from his death,
he rose from the dead, and so fulfilled the type of Jonah;
who, it is
reasonable to suppose, lay no longer in the belly of the whale than our
Lord did in the earth; namely, one whole natural day, and parts of others;
the Jews having no other name for a natural day than a night and a day;
which the Greeks call a night day; and a part being put for the whole, both
might be said to lie three days and three nights; that is, three natural
days; the one in the whale's belly; the other in the heart of the earth: they
lying there some part of two natural days, whether the night or day part
of them, and one whole natural day (Matthew 12:40).

This is one of the 14 "Let us" passages in Hebrews. Four times in the same chapter. (ESV) Heb_4:1; Heb_4:11; Heb_4:14; Heb_4:16; Heb_6:1; Heb_10:22; Heb_10:23; Heb_10:24; Heb_12:1; Heb_12:28; Heb_13:13; Heb_13:15;

strive to enter that rest, -- This exhortation is directed at believers whose lives should be characterized by perseverance (Heb 4:3).

Also Col 2:16 does not say the seventh day of the week, Whoever wrote that in their will have to answer to God one day. Pro 30:5-6
The original Greek has sabbath(s) its in the plural form and Col 2:14 gives the context- handwritten, ordinances, contrary and against.

I have some really deep studies on this I will look for them and post later.

Need to run for now.

Hebrews 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place (Mt Sinai) of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

What I was afraid of-a topic I am not interested in-

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.

Heb 6:1 Therefore, let us leave behind the stam (elementary) ikarim (essentials) of the dvarim hahora'ah (words of teaching) about Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, and let us move ahead to hitbagrut (maturity), not laying again a foundation of teshuva from ma'asim metim (dead works) and Emunah toward Hashem,
Heb 6:2 Of divrei torah on tevilot and tohorah and s'michat yadayim and of the Techiyas HaMesim and of the Mishpat Olam.
Heb 6:3 And this we shall do, im yirtzeh Hashem (if the L-rd wills).

Please read Gill on this-
Of the doctrine of baptisms,.... Some read this divisively, "baptism and doctrine", as the Ethiopic version; as if the one respected the ordinance of baptism, and the other the ministry of the word; but it is best to read them conjunctively: and by which most understand the Gospel ordinance of water baptism, so called by a change of number, the plural for the singular, as the Syriac and Ethiopic versions, who render it baptism; or because of the different persons baptized, and times of baptizing, as some; or because of the trine immersion, as others; or because of the threefold baptism of spirit, blood, and water, which have some agreement with each other; or because of the baptism of John, and Christ, though they are one and the same; or because of the inward and outward baptism, the one fitting and qualifying for the other; and so the doctrine of it is thought to respect the necessity, use, and end of it; but since there is but one baptism, and the above reasons for the plural expression are not solid, and sufficiently satisfying, it is best to interpret this of the divers baptisms among the Jews, spoken of in Heb_9:10 which had a doctrine in them, to that people; teaching them the cleansing virtue of the blood of Christ, and leading them to it, to wash in for sin, and for uncleanness; but now, since this blood was shed, they were no more to teach nor learn the doctrine of cleansing by the blood of Christ this way; nor any more to be led unto it through these divers baptisms, ablutions, and purifications.
And of laying on of hands; the foundation of this was to be no more laid, nor the doctrine of it to be any longer taught and learned in the way it had been; for not the rite, but the doctrine of laying on of hands is here intended; and it has no reference to the right of laying on of hands by the apostles, either in private persons, or officers of churches; for what was the doctrine of such a rite, is not easy to say; but to the rite of laying on of hands of the priests, and of the people, upon the head of sacrifices; which had a doctrine in it, even the doctrine of the imputation of sin to Christ, the great sacrifice. It was usual with the Jews (g) to call the imposition of hands upon the sacrifice, simply, סמיכה, "laying on of hands"; and they understood by it the transferring of sin from the persons that laid on hands, to the sacrifice, on which they were laid; and that hereby, as they express it, sins were separated from them, and, as it were, put upon the sacrifice (h); but now believers were no longer to be taught and learn the great doctrine of the imputation of sin, by this rite and ceremony, since Christ has been made sin for them, and has had sins imputed to him, and has bore them in his own body on the tree:
and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment: articles of faith, which distinguished the Jews from the Gentiles, who were greatly strangers to a future state, the resurrection of the dead, and judgment to come: these are doctrines of pure revelation, and were taught under the Old Testament, and were believed by the generality of the Jews, and are articles which they hold in common with us Christians; yet the believing Hebrews were not to rest in the knowledge of these things, and in the smaller degrees of light they had in them, under the former dispensation; but were to go on to perfection, and bear forward towards a greater share of knowledge of these, and other more sublime doctrines of grace; since life and immortality are more clearly brought to light by Christ through the Gospel.

Shalom
J.

History has been re-written, which is why scripture warns us not to go outside of the bible because there is no light. Isa 8:20 You can trust AI, My faith is in His every Word.
