I love hearing stories about how people came to the Lord. If anyone wants to share their testimony (it doesn't have to be long), then please do! Mine is pretty straightforward: Accepted Jesus at 4, baptized at 9, asked for baptism of the Holy Spirit at 15. I've been walking with Them ever since! But surely there are many more dramatic stories to be heard from all of you. I'd love to see them!

I was 5yrs old, I wandered out to play by myself, my wandering led me to the park. (unsafe, I know now 45yrs later) When I got to the park
people in nice cars and pretty clothes, showed up at the recreation hall. I asked if I could come to the party, assuming that was why they were so dressed up. The women smiled at me and said " Yes you can come, but this is sunday school." I found love there, that was missing at home.
I accepted Jesus in my heart, the day I did.... believe it or not... but on my way home the clouds opened up, and a sunbeam shined down on me.
I never felt that light and care free before in my young life.... I felt the love and warmth of Jesus!
This still brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Thank you, I'm glad I had Christian adults in my life. My parents were not saved, luckly for me they wanted to get rid of me for a few hours on sunday.
So they made sure I continued going. With my sister and brother in tow. My mom just recently had a revelation of who Jesus is! I believe she is now saved! Praise God! There ened up being 4 kids in the family 3 out of 4 are saved. So keep my youngest brother in your prayers. My father is gone
I tried to get him to ask for salvation, but I don't think he accepted, at least not in front of me.

It must be hard to have close family members who aren't Christians. But you never know what God might be working in their hearts, your dad may very well have accepted Christ before he died. The best we can do is tell them about Jesus, keep them in our prayers, and let the Holy Spirit work. It's neat that your childhood church was so open and welcoming, too often we seem to take a cloistered approach when there are so many hurting right in our own neighborhoods. Thanks for sharing!.................OK, doesn't ANYONE else have a story to tell?

Hi there,
Very nice to read of your stories.
Im glad you found love.
Thankyou for sharing.

I was raised by atheists and actually got in trouble if I prayed "only stupid people prayer"...
But it came from within me.
My soul.
Heard myself say "I am yours Jesus" and other things about a year ago.
I also have had stigmatha (but without the blood) I get it regularly and have had it for a long time.

I have been religious in my own way for a long time but the words came straight from my heart and soul and it is beautiful.
I am not a member in any church or organisation as such for different reasons.

It came to me but has always been there really.
About 2 years ago it came more obvious and clearly one could perhaps say.

Love

Victoria

Hi, Victoria! That's a really interesting testimony. It sounds like Jesus revealed Himself to you because you diligently sought truth. It's neat how The Lord uses different methods to reach different people, like being subtle with the spiritually sensitive, or rational with the scientifically-minded. Then there's those of us who are so hard-headed, we need to be hit with a board (spiritually, of course :) ). Whatever He needs to do, it's all awesome in my book! Just wondering, though, has the Lord brought you to the point where you accepted Jesus as your savior? I'm not trying to be nosy, just curious if He has sealed the deal with you yet :) Love, Nicole

When I was 14 a local youth pastor somehow got ahold of my name and phone number and was under the impression I wanted to go to summer camp. Even though I didn't know Him its obvious that God was working in me because I agreed to go. The camp was during the very time I was planning on taking my life. I ended up going, and for the first time ever heard about someone that loved me, cared for me, and that I had a purpose for being here. I gave God an ultimatum and He revealed Himself to me on the spot. I haven't been the same since :)

Basschick -
What an awsome and lovely testimony, God is so big!!! God also kept me on track with church camp, Someone sent me every year!
I never knew who paid for it. May God bless them and if they are not around anymore.... I pray he will bless their family for it! (I'm 50)
It was a long time ago... thank you for sharing your story it reminded me of how much God has done for me.

That's awesome, Basschick! I LOVE how you gave The Big Mr. an ultimatum, I think He appreciates them because it shows that we are serious about finding truth. My dad got saved after an ultimatum, as well. He had grown up going to church regularly, but quit as a teenager because of the hypocrisy, backbiting, etc. (you know how some churches are). He then jumped headfirst into sin; drugs, alcohol, women, the whole nine yards. Well, after 5 or 6 years of that, he began to feel as if a heavenly Being was following him. He knew that the Presence was from God, and that it made him feel uncomfortable, due to his immoral lifestyle. After several months of being followed, he realized that he had better find out who God really was, because he couldn't avoid Him any longer. So, one night, when he was all alone, dad decided to settle it once and for all. He told God that he would give Him his life, but only if He would reveal who He was, if not, then NO DEAL. It's funny, but the last thing he prayed was that he would even become a Christian if he had to, but he wanted to know from God directly, because Jesus was his last choice (dad was expecting to find that God was Buddhist). Well, the next morning, he woke up knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus was Lord, that He had died for his sins, that He loved him and had a purpose for him. Dad had never felt such peace and joy before in his life, like rivers of living water were flowing through his spirit. He began telling everyone he knew the good news, that Jesus was REAL, and wanted a relationship with them. As you can imagine, not everyone was receptive to the message, but over 30 years later, dad is still eager to share the story with anyone who will listen. So, yeah, going straight to God for a revelation is definitely the best way to find out who He is. It's pretty hard to doubt something that God Himself shows you to be true :) God Bless!

I'm glad y'all enjoyed it, haha :) I love reading about how God has impacted others!
I know that in my life, it seems like I quite frequently have to go back and remember the times that God made Himself evident to me to help keep me on the right track and refocus on what's important.

Ditto for me! It's so important that we remember to keep Jesus as our first love, But it's so easy to get sidetracked in the hustle and bustle of modern life. That's why I started this thread, so that we would remember those God-Times and help encourage others. Too bad there haven't been many posts :(. Come on, people, more stories! We love 'em!

baptized at 7 *didn't know what it was about. opened the bible and read a highlighted section pretty much said "you, why do you look away from my words, keep your eyes on my words". went to Juvi had a panic attack said Jesus help me and felt the amazing blanket of love and peace. Had a thorn go through my eye doc said I may stay blind I yelled at GOD and boy did He answer me. Didn't give a homeless man 5 dollars, he started hexing me I came back with a friend he said "thus says the Lord and we were instantly blinded and brought to our knees while he kept talking, we had visions in our dreams that manifested into reality for the following 3 days accompanied by 3 different venomous snakes in real life one each day each one later in the day than the last. God told me to read the bible, I couldn't find one, I told Him as much so He made a loud thud at a bookshelf in the next room to show me where it was. I needed a job, I prayed for it, He told me to help someone I never met, when I did I had a job within an hour or so. I've prayed to heal my knee twice and my ankle once, they all three worked amazingly *(and of course when I didn't hurt it as bad and didn't pray it got way worse than it should have lol) God has used me repeatedly to help people even strangers when I have had the faith to trust in Him and open myself to listen and willingness to be obedient and not question. I'm sure there is more but I think I smell dinner. Have a great night and God bless :)

My testimony is not remarkable...kinda funny.

When I was younger, I was an object of ridicule. This girl picked on me while we were on the bus on the way home from school. Feeling convicted, she apologized and her and her twin sister invited me to their church. I was 12. I had been to church once with my grandmother before, but didn't really know what was going on, or that it was something that was required to be believed. I became Christian later out of fear of hell, not because I felt the Father's love.

I went to that church for a year, then moved to a different state. When I moved, I didn't plant myself in a church right away but I found a church and started going. But the teenagers my age in the church didn't talk to me inside OR outside of church, which caused me to stumble. I still believed in Jesus, but I did nothing to love Jesus. I was in mental (sexual) sin, and eventually, I started having sex with a man I met in college, knowing full well it was sin. I kept telling myself that once I got him, THEN I'll go to church, read the Bible, and do all that. How many people go to hell because they put off knowing the Lord!

God was mericful. He sent a girl named Kelly who took my boyfriend's interest away from me, and I was left without him, and with guilt. I turned to God, and opened my Bible for the first time in years. This time when I repented, I felt God's love because I was truly sorry for my sins, not scared of what might happen if I don't say the sinner's prayer. I found the Bible my grandmother gave me and started reading faithfully. I started looking into theology, and through a series of websites, I came to be a devout Lutheran.

I was a rigid, narrow-minded Lutheran. I had the correct interpretation and everyone else was just wrong! But over time, a couple years later, I began to really examine all Christian faiths and I began to really learn, and open my mind. You can be a narrow-minded Christian who points at other Christians and talk about how wrong their theology and worship is. But when you open your mind, and accept and love all the brethren, that's when you're truly free. That's when you are finally a true Christian, because Christians who don't love their brethren abide in death. We are called to love everyone, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us. If there's one thing I really pride myself on, is my open mind and willingness to listen to my brethren. And if I can bring my brethren to an open mind, I've made a real difference in the world!

God bless!

Jamie: I loved your testimony! It's awesome how The Lord used negative circumstances in your life to draw you to Him. I never get tired of hearing how He is working in people's lives. God bless, sister! :)

more of that story in under testimony's I wrote about all of that in a little more detail there. But Snackers, I assure you that actually happened in Austin Texas outside of Austin Bergstrom International Airport under the overpass at the light, and I was not alone but a dear friend of mine was there ( I would have given his name and you could have found him on facebook but I'm not sure that is permitted.) The visions were shared by me, Lou, Richard and my little brother Patrick and on the last day when we were all to scared to sleep, my little 6 year old sister Casey who knew about none of it. I guess I should type the full story again on my profile. I lost my profile here sometime back, I'm not sure why and the entire experience was on there.. it is quite a long story.

I am a born again christian as it is called and have close intimate relationship with Jesus who I love more than I can ever say.

I have had many many spiritual experiences that are "unbeleivable" miracles, amazing but through out the years it has been so many and I cant express or explain them and all that actually happened.

Today I heard my soul again talk to jesus.
and spoke with my horse about jesus
Ive always been a "loner", never fitted in anywhere, been perceived perhaps as wierd, been bullied and isolated and also had a lot of agony and experiences.Been treated very badly.
Even classified torture , that is a story Jesus knows but I can not write of here or put words to.
I cant always communicate well using this body but a silent understanding and soulful, spiritual communication has started to happen more frequently lately.Soul to soul communication and with other christians. Can sence a immediate connection and deeper understanding through Jesus and no words needed.
Today I sat at cafe and felt that again, a understanding and silent communication with someone else.It brought tears to my eyes. All ages.
Ones soul is medier of God and knows bible off by heart and has this intimate relationship with Jesus but as for the person... :)

I have had stigmatha without the blood since I was a child but I never understood it then and was raised by atheists so got in trouble if spoke of it.

Its the best thing to happen to know Jesus and find Jesus and yourself and who and all you truly are also.
Dreamt of Jesus lastnight we were in a classroom but we were not the students but sitting amoung the students. He was taking me around.I went to clean up spilt coffee on a table and he got angry in a non angry way just "leave it" "its not your sin to clean" as he told me to move to the next room with him.

jesus is the best thing to ever happen to me.

I said "i am yours Jesus" and I mean it with all my heart and soul.

Jesus made a home for John and Victoria and foundation is solid and true.

Perhaps I did not deny God but despite all the experiences I was given throughout my life I did not either ackknowledge God in the way I did about 2 years ago when I said out aloud I am yours Jesus and also I was chanting a strange language.
The language I as person do not know or speak but it sounded beautiful and holy.
Many other things happened also but I cant really put it to words in a thread.

When I was 4 I did something bad and my mom brought me to my room. I was feeling the fear of the Lord at that point as I waited to see what my mom would have for me. Surprisingly she said she forgave me. I felt relieved, then she said "But there's someone else who needs to forgive you more than I do. His name is Jesus." So I prayed there. Then I was baptized when I was 17 and went to Bible college and found out that there was more to God than His blessings. For the first time I felt that worshiping Him for who He is is the worthiest purpose anywhere and that He really does deserve all the glory that the angels give Him 24/7 their whole lives. Can you imagine being dedicated to God that much? I want that fiercely now!

In Christ,

Brandon Jay

Deadtosin: Smiles, brother! I read your full testimony, and it's a good one. Sorry for doubting :) I guess it was just a little hard to follow in the shortened version, but I don't blame you for not wanting to post the whole thing. I'm still not sure what was up with Mr. Homeless Dude, but it certainly sounds like God used him to impact your life. I love how God deals with you through your determined nature, it really comes through in your testimony. Could it be that you are one of those who has to be hit with a spiritual board ;)? Lol, just messin' with you, brother, I love your spunk, you remind me of St. Peter. It's awesome how The Lord speaks to everyone differently, taking our different personalities into account. Jesus is so cool!

AnandaHya: I like this thread, too! Thanks, everyone, for your posts! I know what you mean, it's not so much that we "find" Jesus, more like we finally realize that He has been tugging on our hearts the whole time........I'd love to hear how He "caught" you, if you ever want to share :). No pressure, though! God bless, sister! :)

Miss Victoria: You have a beautiful testimony. I wasn't doubting your salvation, just curious how far the Lord had brought you in your experience with Him. I can tell by your posts that you love Jesus a LOT, and He the same for you. It sounds like you have been through some very difficult times in your life, and He has made up for that by giving you a lot of Him in return. He wipes away every tear.......God bless you sister, He has a special place in His heart for you. I can tell by your profile picture that His Hand is on your life, you have a beautiful countenance, and a lovely smile. It's clear that you are a very spiritually sensitive person. Keep digging, it certainly appears that you have won His favor! Love and hugs, Nicole. -P.S. I know what you mean about connecting spiritually with someone you have never met or spoken to. I have experienced that, as well. He's amazing, isn't He? :)

Brandon: Our testimonies are similar. :) I, too, was blessed to have Christian parents, who understood that Jesus would honor the prayers of a child. It drives me crazy when I talk to parents whose children clearly need some spiritual guidance, but mommy is waiting until they're "old enough" (like, high school) to tell them about Jesus. Don't wait, parents! Suffer ye, the little children, don't forbid them! Introduce them to Jesus before the World gets a hold of them, chews them up, and spits them out. It's the best thing you can ever do for your kids, and the most important. Kids are more aware than people realize. Love, love, love 'em! Thanks for sharing, Mr. Brandon! :) God Bless!
