I didn't realize that if a president is disabled in some way, and the VP has to become president, that if he is in that role more than 2 years, that counts as one full term, and he/she can only run for one more term.

When Pres Trump does "go away", I pray there is someone ready to step into that role that has the same political beliefs as him. Someone that is less abrasive. Ramaswamy (sp?) might be just that person.
I think Trump should have him as his VP. Trump is no spring chicken, and if he did have some type of medical issue, then Vivek would become president, and would be a shoo-in for the next election.
Vivek is a little nutty and listens to too many conspiracy theories.

Government is usually an idiot savant. Meaning they are really really dumb until they don't want to be. The whole conspiracy theory nonsense is just that....nonsense.

Sure, they can be opportunistic at times but it's usually just coincidental more often than not.

Trust me when I say that the ivory tower is empty and growing cobwebs. It needs to stay that way too.

That's the one silver lining; if he gets elected he'll only have four years. lol What he will do in those four years is what has a lot of people uneasy I think.

You mean like all the terrible things he did in his first 4 years? Securing the border, moving our embassy to Jerusalem, getting the US to not only be energy independent (for the most part), but also made us an oil exporter..... just to barely touch the tip of the iceberg.

Yep.... that would be horrible.

It's very naive to think the USA or the world for that matter will last that long but I do admire your optimism

Trump seems pretty strong and active to me. Biden doesn't even know where he is half the time.

trying to run biden at this point would be elder abuse.

not being funny, i am serious. i am no biden fan, but as Christians , we are supposed to care about our fellow humans, no matter if we like them or not.

Trump is as energetic and "with it" as anyone that age I've ever seen. Age seems to have had little impact on him. Biden, however, is clearly in cognitive decline.

no surprise, they used to fudge the truth here and there, now they just make stuff up....
Yes.... it seems that it has become some sort of game with "reporters".... let's see who can tell the biggest lie and get away with it. If they get caught, they simply say "oh, that information wasn't vetted properly...... my bad" and go on back to work.
There are no repercussions anymore. Not too long ago, didn't Dan Rather have to quit his spot because of his made up story about some kind of car safety thing? He got caught fabricating a story, and lost his job. I'll have to goober that to refresh my memory...

Now, nobody loses jobs over outright lying to the American people... it's almost become a badge of honor... "what can you get away with"....

Which is why I don't trust ANY of them. liars, one and all.

please, please say i can use this! :D
of course!

It appears that what got him fired was a story about GW Bush. I thought for sure there was some story that he simply fabricated about car safety, though. The search continues.....

Ok.... apparently I'm "remembering" a story that NBC fabricated about the safety of GM trucks... where they rigged a pickup to burst into flames when it was run into in a simulated accident. It aired on Dateline, and they were promptly sued by GM.... they had to do a public "apology" for fabricating the story, and promise to never lie in a news report again. We see how that's worked out.... :cautious:

Don't you understand?!? When you're fighting fascism, anything is justified and puts you into the right side of history!
