Got out a baggie of frozen leftover turkey again, this time simmered it with tomato, onion,
mushroom, garlic and lentils, with a shot of cayenne pepper. So good to warm up with.
Sounds yummy! .:D

This evening, my son brought his family to dine with us. I made BBQ ribs with mashed potatoes. I was standing behind my 2yo grandson when he took his first taste of the ribs and stop in midbite to give me a look that I can only describe with this gif...

I just tried a black eyed bean dish with herbs, onions, and garlic. I was hesitant to get the beans because I didn't like them as a boy. Since I'm open minded, I thought I'd give them a try. They were very mild and tender for an American bean. It went good with fried turkey. Tomorrow I hope there's another Private Selections turkey on sale and plan to buy more Big Eyed Beans.

Here's the theme song for them.
I used to listen to Don VanVliet as a boy along with the Blues Brothers. The butch girl's gym teacher used to get on me for wearing sunglasses and a cool looking hat indoors for some reason. 😎

I used to know a guy whose last name was Stromboli! lol
I'm so glad God didn't give me a last name that would make me think of (and crave) delicious Italian food every time it was mentioned, lol.

I would never stop eating! o_O

Hmmm...makes me think to myself that I shouldn't go around with a last name like Pie
i sure like your first name. one of my sons-in-law has a motto:

a bad pie is better than a good cake. Pie is a great name. :)

Thank you so much! I was named after my great grandmother.
I love pie, especially meringue pies! I haven't made a pie lately though. For good reason, they are so tempting lol

I had left-overs from the last two nights, plus a store bought deli meatball that I bought on my way home Tuesday .:)

I'd been deliberately delaying doing grocery shopping, which forced me to dig deeper into my freezer,
so I can now finally see some "floor" space and the very back! Hooray!!! I had perogies one night, and
little gyoza style chicken dumplings another night, and combined them tonight with the meatball
.:D

Carrie? Some sources say that Carrie means free. I like that. It's nice to be free!
