The Sabbath was mentioned sixty times because:
1) The N.T was written by Jews
2) The Sabbath is a day of the week, was a rest day, that's often when Jesus preached, the timing
3) That's why the mention of the Sabbath declined so quickly, when Gentile Churches were addressed
4) The Gentiles were never commanded to obey a Sabbath, nor were Gentiles told they were under the law
5) Most occurrences of the Sabbath are where? In the Jewish Gospels describing Jesus in Israel, of course!
6) Inference is what the 10 commandment folk use to establish their interpretation.
Ok. Not sure I'm following your logic though. God commanded us to rest on the Sabbath day- how is that works when He said to rest. Spending time with God on His holy Sabbath is a blessing, not legalism. Isa 58:13 Isa 56:1-6 Do you apply legalism to the other 9 commandments or just the one He asked us to not work and to rest in Him.
If we are walking in His Spirit we are not an enmity to God's law Romans 7:7-8 and if we find ourselves hostile to His law it really is not a good sign.
Our hope is in Christ which is why we obey Him including His instruction to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God Mat 4:4 which including keeping His commandments through love and faith. Once Jesus changes us how could one not want to obey everything He asks or follow the example He left 1 John 2:6 1 Peter 2:21-23
The ceremonial/ordinances law ended at the Cross- see Heb 9, 10. The Ten Commandments didn't which is why we see in the life of Jesus and the apostles.
Gluttony is a sin- anything we place above God is a sin and breaks the very first commandment.
Tell me where the NY says that the law applies to Gentiles.

You should take Peter's advice to heart. If you want to observe Jewish law, by all means become a Jew. If you are a Christian, you have no business trying to force Jewish law on other Christians. If you are a Jew, you have no business trying to persuade Christians to desert grace and come under Jewish law.
1 John 4:19 - We love him, because he first loved us. Romans 5:5 - Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

In Mark 2:27 Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.”
This statement was in response to the accusation that His disciples were breaking the law regarding resting on the Sabbath when they walked by some fields and plucked heads of grain (see Mark 2:23–28; also Matthew 12:1–8; Luke 6:1–5). When the Pharisees accused Jesus’ disciples, Jesus referred them to an example from the Old Testament. David was once in need of food and was given consecrated bread that was, technically, only lawful for the priests to eat (1 Samuel 21:1–6). The holy bread had served a practical need of God’s anointed (David) and his followers, just as, in Jesus’ day, the grain served a practical need for God’s anointed (Jesus) and His followers.
David and his men had not acted sinfully in eating the showbread, and neither were Jesus’ disciples acting sinfully in picking heads of grain on the Sabbath. Jesus concludes, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27–28).
First, the Sabbath was intended to help people, not burden them. In contrast with the grueling daily work as slaves in Egypt, the Israelites were commanded to take a full day of rest each week under the Mosaic Law. Pharisaical law had morphed the Sabbath into a burden, adding restrictions beyond what God’s law said. The act of picking a head of grain and munching on it as one walked along a field should not be considered “harvesting,” as the Pharisees tried to categorize it. The disciples had not broken God’s law; they had only violated the Pharisees’ strict interpretation of the law. Jesus reminded the Pharisees of the original intent of the Sabbath rest.
The disciples were breaking the sabbath of the Pharisees, not the Sabbath of the Lord thy God which is why Jesus said His disciples were not guilty Mat 12:7 Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man and the word He used here means mankind and it was meant to bless and sanctify man Isa 58:13 Eze 20:12, not meant to be a burden which is what the Pharisees were making their sabbath about, picking a piece of grain and eating because the disciples were hungry is not a sin as Jesus clearly stated. He would know because Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath i.e. the Creator of the Sabbath and would know how to keep it correctly.
I don't under the concept of spending time with God on the only day God set aside, blessed, sanctified and made holy for Him Isa 58:13 and for man Exo 20:8 could ever be a burden. The Sabbath is meant to bless and sanctify us, because we can't sanctify ourselves, only God can Eze 20:12. The Sabbath is also a sign of our allegiance to God, Eze 20:20 that we are worshipping the God of Creation- the Sabbath is the only commandment that reveals the Author of God's law Exo 20:11 and it contains His seal. The Sabbath is far from being a burden, but if one is looking at it from a perspective of rule keeping, instead of resting in Christ I can see why some could think that way. It's how the Pharisees thought. Those who keep it the way God intended knows what a blessing it truly is. Isa 58:13 Isa 56:1-6
The Sabbath is a commandment of God- it was written by God's own finger, spoken by His own voice.
Circumcision is not one of the commandments of God, it is an ordinance in the law of Moses. Paul contrasted this with the commandments of God and came to this conclusion:
1 Cor 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.
This correlates with the very teachings of Jesus who also taught we should keep the commandments of God quoting directly from the Ten Commandments. Mark 7:7-13 Mat 15:3-9 teaching us not to break or teach others to break the least of these again quoting from the Ten Commandments. Mat 5:18-30
Which is why we see the commandments being kept and taught in the life of Jesus and His apostles and kept by His faithful until the very end of time. Rev 12:17 Rev 14:12 Rev 22:14
There is not one mention that it is the Sabbath of the Jews- God called it My Sabbath and My holy day. Isa 58:13 Exo 20:10 Jesus said it was made for man and for everyone Mark 2:27 Isa 56:1-6 never said it was made for only Jews.

You won't find this statement in scripture. Every Sabbath was kept by the apostles preaching to both Jews and Gentiles 30+ some years after the cross. Acts 13:42-44 Acts 18:4 That is a lot of Sabbath-keeping yet not one mention of any change to God's holy Sabbath day.
In God's New Covenant there is no Jew or Gentile just God's people grafted in through faith. Gal 3:26-28. In God's New Covenant- He writes His laws in the hearts and minds of His people, instead of them being deleted Heb 8:10 and why His faithful follow the teachings of Jesus and the apostles and keep His commandments through love and faith. John 14:15 Exo 20:6 1 John 5:3 Romans 3:31 Rev 14:12
The Sabbath started at Creation Gen 2:1-3 Exo 20:11 and part of God's perfect plan before the fall of man. The Sabbath is all throughout the entire bible and continues in the New Heaven and New Earth for God's saints. Isa 66:22-23
Jesus told us to keep the commandments of God quoting from the Ten Mat 7:7-13 Mat 15:3-9 and warned us not to break or teach others to break the least of these again quoting from the Ten Mat 5:18-30. Jesus kept the commandments including the Sabbath as did the apostles 30+ years after the Cross as they were commanded to observe everything Jesus commanded of them. Everyone we are to follow in scriptures kept the Sabbath- God, Jesus, the apostles and His faithful followers- seems like good company to be in.
Your problem is that you are selective in what you consider to be obedience. I don't follow examples. I follow the Lord Jesus as led by the Holy Spirit.

Which category of sin do you fall into? When will you repent and come to Christ? That's the purpose of the Law.
I would like to use an Australian idiom, but it would get me banned. Read what Peter had to say again. It was circumcision and the law of Moses. Peter said in effect, forget it. They could not keep God's law so why would they impose it on Gentiles who are not under the Old Covenant? Do you have any idea what the commandments of God are in the New Testament? They are far more difficult to keep than the 10. It is so hard that only Jesus can obey God perfectly. The man who came to Jesus wanting to know what to do to inherit eternal life was a law keeper. Jesus told him that it was not enough. And keeping the 10 commandments is nowhere near enough to please God. He is only pleased with Jesus within us.
There are 3 commandments that matter. Love God, love your neighbour and love the brethren. If you are doing that, you do well.
You really are ignorant are you not? Abraham was required to circumcise the males in his household. There was no law at the time. Circumcision was more than law, it was a sign of the covenant relationship between Abraham and his descendants and God. When the New Covenant was introduced, circumcision became redundant.

Jesus said we should- If you love Me keep My commandments. John 14:15 Jesus condemned those who kept their rules over the commandments of God teaching not to break or teach others to break the least of these. Mat 15:3-9 Mat 7:7-8 Mat 5:18-30. My faith is going to trust His teachings and know He would never lead us down the wrong path and if He asks us to keep something, its because it for our own good. Faith does not make void the law but establishes it. Romans 3:31
Just curious if you have ever read Matthew 15 and Mark 7 to see what Jesus condemned of the Pharisees. It wasn't for keeping the commandments of God- He condemned them for not keeping them but living by their standard instead.
Amen! We establish or uphold the law by putting our faith in the One who fulfilled all the righteous requirements of the law on our behalf and who offers us His perfect righteousness as a free gift. (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9) Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. (Romans 10:4)

We wouldn't be very loving to our neighbor if we stole, lied, coveted, murdered etc and not very loving to God if we worshipped other gods, used His holy name in vain, bowed to false images and broke His holy Sabbath day. Love does no harm and these things are harmful, which is why love fulfills the law. His law is based on love. Exo 20:6 John 14:15 John 15:10 1 John 5:3 Love to God, love to man.
