1st of all, a pastor is an elder / bishop not the minister, preacher, or evangelist. Secondly, it's about truth. If a preacher, minister, or whatever you choose to call him teaches untruth regarding the subject of salvation, the net result will be lost souls not saved ones. If the message is false such as Graham's was and still is, they are not saving souls nor bringing anyone to Christ, but on the contrary, they're doing the devil's work. If you can't tell someone how to save their soul by your message, you're not just useless, you've been decieved and are deceiving others causing them to follow you to hell through your false doctrine.

Jesus never changes (Hebrews 13:8). Christians are people like everyone else except they have been redeemed by the love and grace of Christ and forgiven by His own sacrifice on the cross for mankind.

The Bible is God’s Word and that also never changes. Jesus spoke of two roads. Every person will have to choose which way they will go.

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).

This word “narrow” is offensive to many. We live in an age of tolerance, except tolerance for what Jesus commands in Scripture. Society today tells us to “believe anything you want to believe.”

Let’s apply that principle and see how it works out. Suppose the astronauts blast off in a rocket and get on the wrong path and in the wrong orbit. Would Houston controllers respond, “Oh, that’s all right; there are a number of pathways to lead them to their destination.” No. The world would never see them again—they would be lost forever. They must follow precise laws; all nature is governed by them.

People have no authority to lower the standards that have been put in place by the God of the universe and the Savior of men’s souls. There is no bargaining with Him.

We cannot work our way to Heaven. We cannot buy our way to Heaven. Heaven is the realm of God and He desires all people to come to Him.

So, according to your line of reasoning, when I made a profession of faith in Jesus after attending a Billy Graham crusade in about 1960, and completed the Bible study he sent me afterwards (That took several weeks to complete all the lessons with my Church pastor) I somehow didn’t or don’t know what the real Gospel is? And probably a lost soul according to you?

Yes, there is only one way, and by reciting the unscriptural so so-called sinners prayer ain't it. I see his dumb son all the time on TV following in his dad's footsteps telling people to do just that. It's nauseating to watch, and to think that many people will believe that nonsense and do that is even more nauseating.

I wouldn't say a person's salvation is null & void because the minister went bad. Not at all.
Paul taught in Phil. 1 that while he was inprisoned, there were two groups of people preaching Christ. One group were rivals/competitors in ministry to agitate Paul, while the other was trying to help Paul out while he was in jail.
Paul said either way the gospel is preached: "that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice."{v18)
Many well meaning ministers think it's alright to preach & at the same time making it a 'professional career,' being ambitious. The problem is, when a young greenhorn steps out to do both, the ambition takes over & the true love of winning souls takes a distant second place. Money/popularity/power then drives the minister, & when flesh has full control, sin/ungodliness always becomes the final result.
Remember, Graham became increasingly popular and successful while he was young, & in his later years grew worse.

Thanks for sharing this video 🥰 I just think it's amazing how God works. God can use anyone to get his message across. This is one of the things I love about God even if we miss the message he just keeps on trying 🥰

You sound like a fellow I worked with long ago. He attended a legalistic church where they were required to do community work to ensure their salvation. We discussed the Gospel on several occasions and he would often get exasperated after we discussed Scripture. One day I recited a verse about hearing and believing, and he abruptly stood up and angrily replied, “If salvation was that easy, anybody could get saved.” Then be stormed off in anger.

I know many that say, “We are saved by grace, but….” I am glad God is my judge, and not some of the people who claim to know better than the rest. The Pharisees are alive and well in 2024.

Grace is not an ”Do nothing” salvation,” it’s a doorway to eternal life and a lifetime of learning, and serving.

A person's salvation is based on truth and following that truth. Your statement is not correct because if you've really been saved which is the result of following the truth and process, belief, confession of it, repentance, and water immersion (baptism) into Christ, as aforementioned and pursuant to the scriptures, it has nothing to do with the minister unless you've followed a false message preached/taught by him that doesn't result in salvation; a false message such as was taught by Billy Graham and his followers. Their message isn't scriptural and doesn't result in salvation.

Very simple. He and his son and organization say you can be saved by simply saying a prayer (sinners prayer) and ask God for forgiveness of your sins. You cannot be saved doing that. No one in the biblical record did that to he saved. It's not possible.

You were lost then. I don't know what you've done since, but as I mentioned, the scriptures are 100% clear on how a person is saved. Only one way

1. Belief and faith
2. Confession of belief
3. Repentance
4. Baptism into Christ for the forgiveness of sins

Mark 16:15-16

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned

Belief + baptism = salvation

Acts 2:38

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:26-38

Read the account of the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch. There you'll see he was taught, believed, confessed, and was baptized.

BIlly Graham: a preacher of a false, unscriptural, message of salvation now propagated by his son: just say a prayer to be saved.

He was worth 25 million at his death, was very rich on the back of the people who listened to him. The name is familiar, my mom was listening to him on TV, when I was a kid, I knew then he was a false teacher, mixed truth and lies like many other today, when will people learn that if the words they preach are different from what Christ said, they are lying.
