I will open with this: the 490-year prophesy has nothing to do with the Great Tribulation that will last for 1260 days (3 ½ years); this is important to remember. I will touch on this later. Also, we must keep in mind that there are prophesies that overlap each other, confusing timelines. My timeline begins in 606 B.C. and ends on Passover 2031 A.D. It starts with Daniel’s captivity and Jeremiah’s prophesy of 70 years of captivity in Babylon for the Jews.

606 B.C. Daniel is taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar. The captivity ended in 536 (after 70 years) when King Cyrus conquered Babylon and freed the 12 tribes.

605 B.C. Nebuchadnezzar’s father dies, and he becomes the sole ruler in Babylon.

603 B.C., Nebuchadnezzar has his dream. Daniel 2:1.

598 B.C. The daily sacrifice taken by Nebuchadnezzar, 2 Chronicles 36:5-7. When Nebuchadnezzar raided the Temple, he took all the sacred vessels to Babylon.

598 B.C., is when the “daily sacrifice is taken away”: no Ark, mercy seat, perpetual flame, etc. We have a starting point for Daniel 12:11-12, “when the daily sacrifice is taken away.”

Precisely 1290 years later, Islam’s Dome of the Rock is set up in 692 A.D. It sits in the place of Solomon’s Temple. King Herod, in his Temple project, enlarged the area of the Temple Mount from 36 acres to 45.

So, Islam’s Temple sits in God’s holy place, therefore an “abomination of desolation,” fulfilling Daniel’s prophesy concerning the “abomination of desolation that is set up.”

Daniel 12:11 gives us two specific periods; the second is 1335 years. Because of the context of the verse and the whole book of Daniel, which covers years and centuries, to this day, in 2024, 2622 years have passed. I reject the idea that Daniel meant literal 24-hour days. Hosea 6:2 provides evidence that “days” are “years.”

In the year 457 B.C., Artaxerxes Longimanus of Persia, in his decree, freed the Jews so they could return to Israel if they chose to, fulfilling Daniels’s prophesy of Daniel 9:25, “the going forth of the commandment to restore and rebuild--.”

The time allotted for the prophesy to be fulfilled is 490 years. The first period is 49 years (1 week). It begins in 457 B.C. and ends in 408 B.C., Malachi being the last prophet.

The second period was to be for 434-years (62 weeks). It begins in 407 B.C. and ends in 27 A.D. when Jesus was baptized and announced to be the Messiah by John the Baptist, Andrew, and Peter.

So, 483 years will have been fulfilled to this point, leaving seven years to complete the prophecy. In the last period, seven years (1 week), Jesus was to confirm his new covenant with the Jews; it began in October of 27 A.D. after his baptism, but he was cut off after 3 ½ years in April of 31 A.D., but it was to be confirmed for seven years, not 3 ½. So, 3 ½ years remain.

Daniel 12:12 speaks of a period of 1335 years. That would have begun in 691 A.D., bringing us to 2027 A.D., exactly 2000 years from the Baptism of Jesus.

If the above is correct, within 43 days beginning with Passover this year, 10/11/2024, four things will take place. If the pre-tribulation rapture is correct, the church with the Holy Spirit will be taken into heaven. Then, the two Witnesses of Revelation 11, having great power and authority, will finish confirming the last 3 ½ years of Jesus new covenant to the Jews. Also, the antichrist of Revelation 13:1 is revealed, and the 144,000 sealed with God’s name. When the two witnesses are killed, and taken into heaven, the 490 years will have been fulfilled.

It’s now, the Holy Spirit, the church, and the two witnesses are taken from the earth, leaving the world open for the antichrist and his high priest to exterminate the Jews once and for all.

Now the Great tribulation, the time of Jacob’s trouble begins. Here’s what we know about it.

Jeremiah 30:7, “Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” You can read verse 8.

Revelation 2:22-23, the Lord is speaking to the church at Thyatira; he tells them to repent of their fornication. He said, “I will cast (you) into a bed and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death;”

The Lord said in Matthew 24:22, “Except these days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved.” Matthew speaks of an “abomination of desolation (the antichrist)” --- that will be standing in the holy place. It will be the antichrist (who is an abomination) having been raised by his high priest from his deadly wound, standing by his Temple, the Dome of the Rock (the abomination that was “set up in 692.” When the Jews see the antichrist standing by his unholy Temple, the Jews are told to run to the mountains, take nothing, just run. Why?

Matthew tells us why in Matthew 24:21, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, not ever shall be.”

That statement alone disqualifies Antiochus the 4th assault on the Temple, and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by Titus, and World War 1, and World War 2. This last war will be nothing like the others, “Nor ever shall be.”

Two abominations: the first was ‘set up,’ the second is seen standing by his unholy Temple in God’s holy place.

Because no one is left to hold the antichrist back, his powers will be with limits. Only the coming of Jesus Christ on that day of vengeance will stop him.

The antichrist will claim to be God; he’s a liar.

He will claim to be sitting in the Temple of God; he’s a liar.

I think I’ve covered my bases; if not, ask what you will.

When God The Holy Spirit says 1290 days and 1335 days, He means days, NOT years!

There is nothing in the context of Dan 12 to make days mean years!

You are simply twisting Scripture to get it to fit your own personal agend!

Since the 490-year prophecy includes the Abomination of Desolation, and that is directly related to the Great Tribulation, you have already gotten off on the wrong foot. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand... For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Mt 24:15,21)

Jesus confirmed the covenant with the Jews for a further 3.5 years as His apostles preached the gospel the Lord working with them, until Stephen was stoned and the attendant persecution drove the Christian Jews to take the gospel beyond Jewry, to the Samaritans and eventually into all the world.

When they see the abomination standing in the holy place. That takes place at the beginning to the Great Tribulation. What's the big deal? "For then shall be great tribulation." "Then" is a word of time (future). When the Jews see the raised from the dead antichrist standing by his Temple, they are told to "RUN." That most likely will trigger the Great Tribulation. I don't see your objection.

JB wrote, "You are simply twisting Scripture to get it to fit your own personal agend!"
Do me a favor, I have NO PERSONAL AGENDA." Be nice; I'll respect you if you respect me.

You wrote, "There is nothing in the context of Dan 12 to make days mean years!"
Not one person has answered the first clue to this passage in Daniel 12. "From the time the daily sacrifice is taken away, (note the comma) and the abomination is set up ---." There is no time gap between the two events.

My question to you, when was the daily sacrifice taken away? Check out 2 chronicles 36:5-7. It happened in the 11th year of Jehoiakim who became King of Judia in 610 B.C. No mercy seat, no Ark, no eternal flame, no legitimate Levitical priests, "NO DAILY SACRIFICE." The Priest had no way of cleansing himself, therefore any other offerings or sacrifices were of no value.

There was no abomination set up 3 1/2 years later, again note the comma, not a period or even a colon, a comma. But there was an abomination set up 1290 years after that in 692 A.D. What most people do is jump ahead 2600 years.

Jb also wrote, "When God the Holy Spirit says 1290 days and 1335 days, He means days, NOT years!"

JB, go check out a good Lexicon, Hebrew to English.
Yom (day) in the Hebrew can refer to a day, season, period of time. It can be applied to limited and unlimited durations. If a Jew was speaking of a 24-hour day, they would cap the verse off with, “and the morning and evening” or “from sunset to sunset.”

It can mean an indefinite period. There are times in Scripture when the time is uncertain, and the event or events themselves must make it clear as in Daniel 12:11-12.

A day of Jehovah means a season, also the Messiah’s Day; that is, the time when he should appear to redeem us. 2 Peter 3:8, "A Day with the LORD is a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day.”

Hosea 6:2, “After two days will he (God) revive us: in the third day he will raise up,” each day representing a thousand years.

It’s all about the context that surrounds the word day. If you cannot get over this hurdle, I respect that, I understand. I've read all the end time prophesy books; I own about 15 of them. Most of them fell for the y2k nonsense.

That has nothing to do with the last three and a half year. Tell me, why do you think the two witnesses of Revelation are sent? And what do you think the two witnesses of Revelation are going to be doing for 3 1/2 years? They will be giving their testimony. Testimony about what?
It will be in reference to Jesus and His doctrines, as to the truth of His mission and gospel to the Jews.

When studying the book of Daniel, we must be cautious in our examination of words. The following is a good example. We read in Daniel 8:13-14, “How long shall be the VISION concerning the daily (eternal blood) sacrifice and the transgression of desolation (violation of the law that which makes waste), to give both the sanctuary (the place where the Holy of Holies sat) and the host (the Jews) to be trodden under foot (by the Gentiles.).” And he said unto me, unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

The sources I use to determine the meaning of the word ‘days’ are the Lexicon “Gesenius Hebrew to English, and the 1837 Hebrew to English lexicon I own.

The word “Days” used in Daniel 8:14 is not Yom. Strong’s concordance # (ISBN O-917006-01-1) has assigned to this plural word “days” two numbers. Here is the only place in the Old Testament where these numbers are found for the word “days.”

The first is # 6153 (Hebrew is ereb) the second is # 1242 (Hebrew is boqer.) So, this word days in Daniel 6:14 is defined by the Hebrew words ereb and boqer.

Ereb (1242) can refer to “tomorrow” or a continual march of time, which ends only when there are no more tomorrows.

The other Hebrew word boqer # 1242 is a noun, feminine. It can mean a scourging inflicted with a whip made of a bull’s hide, the type of instrument used to scourge Jesus. It can also mean to dig, cut, bore, and lacerate.

In the Talmud, “boger” means to visit, to punish. If interpreted in this way, the Jews during this period of 2300 years are to be punished with the rod of their enemies for the sins committed against their Messiah.

Let me paraphrase the verse in Daniel 8:14.

“God withdrew his blessings from the Jews, cutting off all sacrifices. They will be punished for the next 2300 years until the temple is cleansed and when there are no more days (or tomorrows) as we know them.

You said that the 70 week prophecy of Daniel HAD NOTHING TO DO with the Great Tribulation, when in fact it has everything to do with it.

Can you lay out a progressive timeline for me if you get time. Begin with Jesus baptism in 27 A.D., then I may be able to understand your approach to this subject. Then I can ask you questions.

Yesterday I was going over the front page of the Internet and ran across this person who calls himself "Blackman." I have no idea who he is, never communicated with him, but here's what he wrote. His words and thinking run parallel to mine.

Daniel 9:24-27

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Let me explain. Seventy sevens, or 490 years, had been firmly decided upon and put into place concerning the role that the Jews, and the city of Jerusalem would play in the remaining history of all mankind. The future time had been set.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Ezra the priest, and the third wave of Hebrews crossed the Euphrates River, in the year 457 BC. Forty-nine years later, which was seven sevens, was the year 408 BC, when the second temple was completed. Sixty-two sevens, or 434 years after that, is when Yeshua crossed the Jordan River after becoming the Messiah in the wilderness. It was on the first day of Aviv, the first month of the Hebrew year, Saturday March 29, AD 27.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

The first part of verse 26 is now speaking of actual days and weeks. Yeshua was baptized on Sunday, February 16 AD 27. He immediately went into the wilderness for 41 days, and returned on the 42nd day, which was Saturday March 29. From Sunday February 16 AD 27, to Saturday April 24 AD 28, was sixty-two weeks.

What do you think the Christians in Jerusalem since 1948 have been doing? Preaching the gospel to the Jews there. There is no reason or need to read in a gap of 2000 years between Jesus' personally preaching the new covenant with signs following confirming it, to Jews only and the confirming of the covenant to Jews only through His disciples with signs following.

I guess there doing what you and I do here, around the world, teach the Bible. In Israel today, there are approximately 7.2 million Jews, and less then 2% of them are Christians. I would say that's pretty weak. As for the last part of your post, I have no idea what you're talking about.

The Body is the Temple; therefore the 'Abomination of Desolation' could be something that will occur inside of a person.

It could be one person, or many. Think of the Mark of the Beast. It is an unpardonable sin. It is an abomination.

Also, there is a very important Prophecy in Daniel that needs to be added to the equation...

Daniel 2:43
"And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."

Is the 'mingling of Seed' in the Body Temple synonymous with the Abomination of Desolation?

How do you know that the Abomination of Desolation is not Transhumanism?

Think about 'as in the Days of Noah'. Why did God get so angry? Was it the Hybrid Giants that forced God to cause the Flood?

Are we now entering into a similar situation of Genetic tinkering?

Why would God not care about his Kingdom, the Genetic Code of Life, but instead get mad about some silly building in Israel?

Is God that petty?

Once again I ask. The abomination is desolation is done by a guy who proclaims to be God.

WHO in the mosque claimed to be God? it would be "shirk" (which is the worst sin in islam) for man to claim to be God.

Nobody yet, but in the near future, someone will, you can bet on it.
Do you think a Christian would claim to be God? of course not.

Do you think a Jew would claim to be Jehovah God? of course not.

Would an atheist claim to be God? No, they don't believe in God.

Isaiah 14: 14, Satan claimed to be like the most High," and so will his antichrist.

What you're overlooking:

The antichrist will have authority over many nations; he will have the name of blasphemy upon his heads. His powers will be composed of the kings of the four great empires of the ancient world, Babylon, Persia, Greek and Roman. He will be killed and raised back to life, "And all the world will (marvel after him.)" He will possess all the power of the devil, he will speak blasphemies, and he will rule over the nations. He will blaspheme against God, blaspheme his name, tabernacle and all who dwell in heaven. This man will be fearless, and ruthless.

Adolph Hitler took what was basically a Christian nation and turned them into mass murderers. Even after his death, years later, some still call him God. The Muslim population for the past 50 years has been living under tyrants, selfish, money and power-hungry lifetime rulers. If a man comes and promises them a better life, trust me, like most all other men and women, they will follow him because he will claim to be God.

2 Thessalonians 2:4, "He will oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God, he will claim to be sitting in the temple of God (a lie) and show himself that he is God (another lie.)"

Mr. Tomson, how you doing this morning? Sorry it took so long to respond to your post, wanted to get it right. Keep in mind, there are overlapping events concerning Daniel's prophesies and in Revelation, especially in chapters 7-11-13 and 14. That's what confuses a lot of people when they try to interpret these prophesies. I am of the understanding that when the Witnesses are revealed the church and Holy Spirit are in heaven with the Lord. With that said, now I can answer your questions.
.
You wrote, “The church in Jerusalem is Jesus’ body preaching Jesus to Jews and Gentiles, not only to the Jews., as the Messiah was doing in Daniel’s prophecy.

I agree; Christian missionaries today are preaching to both Jews and Gentiles in Jerusalem and around the world. Once the church has been raptured, the two Witnesses of God will begin their testimony to the Jews in Israel.

You wrote, “The two witnesses in Revelation will be preaching likewise to both Jews and Gentiles.”

The two witnesses will give their ‘testimony’ (most likely Enoch and Elijah) to the Jews, but the Gentiles will also hear their testimony. When the two are revealed, the antichrist will also be made known, as well as the 144,000. Now the world will know who the antichrist is, the two witnesses and the 144,000.

You wrote, “After this confirming of the covenant for one week.”

No! The two Witnesses testimony will be for 3 ½ years (1260 days), not seven years. See Revelation 11:3. At the end of the 3 ½ years, the 490 years of Daniel’s prophesy will have been fulfilled, leaving the 3 1/2 years of great tribulation.

This period will be the final punishment from God upon Israel, it’s called the time of Jacob’s trouble.

After the two Witnesses are murdered by the beast who comes up out of the earth, they will be raised back to life and taken into heaven, where the church and Holy Spirit are.

Then, the deadly wound of the first beast is healed, and he is raised from the dead.

When the Great Tribulation begins, the church, the Holy Spirit, and now the two Witnesses will be in heaven. The Lord will then gather the 144,000 together at Mount Zion.

You asked, “How many wars are you expecting after the two prophets are slain and resurrected?”

There will be the 3 ½ years of ‘great tribulation.” Christ returns, destroys his enemies, and casts the antichrist and his priest into the lake of fire.

And then, after a 1000-years, Satan is loosed, he will gather a great army together and make war against the Lord; this will be the last war and God’s final judgment.

Good evening, 10-22-27.

What I meant by "After this confirming of the covenant for one week" was "After this confirming of the covenant for one week to Jews only in 30-33AD there will be wars until the end, as has been the case since Stephen's stoning. How many wars are you expecting after the two prophets are slain and resurrected? I was not meaning "After this confirming of the covenant for one week to Jews and Gentiles, during antiChrist's reign there will be wars until the end, as has been the case since Stephen's stoning....

I'm sorry, you lost me. You asked, "How many wars are you expecting after the two prophets are slain and resurrected?" I thought I answered that question. If not, before I give another answer, I need to know, "Who are the two prophets that are slain that you're referring to? Here's my timeline.

Jesus begins his ministry in 27 A.D. at the age of thirty.

He is crucified 3 1/2 years later in April of 31 A.D. From this time forward, the world has been at war with itself and the Jews.

Now let's say the church is raptured this year in April of 2024.

Thats when the two Witnesses, and the antichrist would be revealed.

The two will testify for 3 1/2 years, then they are murdered. Soon after the antichrist is killed, he is raised to life by the second beast.
It's then antichrist and his high priest will build their image, demand worship, and kill all who refuse. Their war against the Jews will be for 3 1/2 years.
When that 3 1/2 years ends, the Lord returns, that will be the time of his vengeance. Then his 1000-year reign begins.

That's the best I can do, hopefully that answers your question. If not "Rephrase and ask again."

I just took a loaf of homemade honey-wheat bread with raisins from my over. Cut one large slice, loaded it with butter, and now eating it with a big smile on my face. Oh, almost forgot, with a fresh cut of coffee. I'll chew, you write.
