Would you date/marry someone from a different generation than you?

If someone born at the beginning or end of one generation were to date someone born at end or beginning
of the previous or following generation, there would only be as little as one year age difference.
On that basis it is kind of hard to think of them as being essentially different (generationally) in any way...

I'm almost a boomer but still in the Gen X.
My wife is in the Millenial generation....
17 year age difference. I was graduating High school and she was still in diapers and drinking from a bottle. It's what is referred to as a May-December romance.
They don't happen often successfully.
Been together for 14 years now. Too much water under the bridge now to do anything else.
It is and has been wonderful for me and her.
The main reason why I want to marry someone around the same age is so we can grow old together (or at least have the possibility).
Gen X here. Don't think I could handle below a Gen Y. And not even all Gen Y, just the first few years or so. Which is also where my gf falls into. My rule is 10 years younger, max, not really interested in older.
But that's just for myself. If others choose to go outside of those parameters it doesn't generally chase me. My own parents were, I believe, 14 years apart.

I'm not going to either marry or reject someone based on age. I got other things I'm more concerned about.
I was born at the tail end of one generation, so marrying into the next younger generation wouldn't be hard but marrying up into the next older generation might be difficult.
Those generation lines are very arbitrary though. My "generation" covers everything from the hippie movement to disco.
And would someone from another generation even want to marry me? The closer other generation would consider me an old phart.
The further other generation is on medicare and I don't know if my back is strong enough to haul them into/out of bed every day.

Not a lot of young people here. Almost all the regulars are older people with the perspective that almost always adds qualifiers to answers.
That is a very good reason for sure. I feel the same way.
