Verse 34 of Matthew 24 Jesus states that He is referring to the current generation.
Revelation 1 begins with this:
Verse 1...things which must shortly come to pass...
Verse 3...the time is at hand...
Verse 7...those also which pierced Him...are in the group who see Him...

Why were the questions asked in the first place. Because His disciples believed Him to be Messiah. But with the Messiah comes the restoration of Israel and a new and better covenant. But wait! It also meant a failed old covenant. No big deal right. Except...the old covenant came with stipulations for reward. Unfortunately, it also came with sanctions. Israel had failed to meet the stipulations of the covenant and subject to curses. This is what the book of Revelation is about...things that were...old covenant, things that are...failure to keep the covenant and consequent covenant sanctions, and things which will be...the new covenant.

I wish the typical Jewish person read and believed their Bible over their wicked rabis' teaching. Perhaps they would see that Jesus Christ is their true Messiah. They certainly had plenty of true prophets before the Roman legion marched into Jerusalem. The Bible tells us that He came into His own and His own received Him not.

The Bible never says the Church will be glorious in the long run, but the world will come together and rebel against the truth, and go against Christianity favoring the new age movement interpretation of the Bible based on the occult and evolution, and people are still evolving to be spiritual, and a god, which the New Age Christ/antichrist will be of the new age movement, and push that agenda in the world to try to change the world to that format which he will think to change times, and laws.
He will convince them that they have to prepare for the next evolutionary step of mankind that is the 5th root race, 6th sub-race. for the new age movement belief is people are evolving to be spiritual, and a god, and then the next evolutionary step the 5th root race, 7th sub-race shall occur in 25,000 years.
The Europeans are its fifth subrace, while the present Americans are the germs of the sixth subrace of the fifth root race. The seventh subrace will start its preparations in 25,000 years after which there will be cataclysms that will destroy Europe and the whole fifth root race.
But it had to be for God has to end sin on earth one day for He is not going to allow mankind to keep sinning on earth, and it is on a time schedule that salvation is available to the world.
So He is going to allow the world to have their way for 7 years and cause all people that do not love Him to follow the New Age Christ, and when they take his mark then they will have the nature of a devil, and belong to the devil, and salvation is no longer available to the world, and He can end sin on earth.
That will give the fallen angels liberty to manipulate mankind more than they could do in the past which the new age movement is of seducing spirits and doctrines of devils because they follow Lucifer believing he is a god, and an alien, that gave mankind intelligence, and will help them to have peace, advance, and evolve along with the New Age Christ.
Which they do not believe Lucifer is a fallen angel because they do not believe in a God.
The new age movement is their reality and religion now brought on by the theory of evolution that became popular backed up by Science, and they interpret all religions that way.
The Pope is not the antichrist but he will be the false prophet for the Vatican and Pope will be given over to the new age movement interpretation of the Bible, and support the New Age Christ, which it is already planned out.
The antichrist will not be involved in positions where people compete with each other, or elected, so he will not be a politician, a military leader, a business man, a religious leader, or any other position such as that for it is beneath him to compete with common people, and be elected by them for he is so arrogant, and self exalting.
He will not be anybody you know and will come in with a bang negotiating a peace treaty in the Middle East resulting in a 7 years peace treaty which will stop the fighting between Israel and the Arabs which will stop the world fighting by choosing sides, and stop all fighting as they have a one world government to work for peace on earth.
He will then work to get control of the world a feat that no other person has done.

I believe that it is Michael because it is Michael that has been restraining Satan in heaven all this time, and it is Michael who fights with Satan and casts him down to the earth. Why? because God says it’s time to wrap up this evil age.
