No.

Because they are the law.

The law said we must be perfect.

You have failed are failing and will fail.

so you can;t be saved by following commands, you cant lose salvation because you fail to follow them. Your already guilty.. thats what the cross was for.

point to the cross. Not your self righteousnesd
This is Jesus speaking. Nothing He commands is part of the Law.

What kind of retard church do You attend that says Jesus commandments are part of the Law?
Jesus is the New Covenant. Not part of the Old Law.

Hate to tell you Bud, But jesus gave the law

The bible says we are under law or we are under grace there is no other option.
Jesus fulfilled the Law so we know He is the Messiah. Once He established being the Messiah, His commands are part of the New Covenant.

I am not asking you if you just read it. I am asking you to read it again and yet do not read it with your OSAS lens or glasses on. Just let the text speak for itself and ask yourself the questions while you read it. Ask yourself while you read the text, and say,

Does this sound like James is talking about how to ‘get saved’ or does it sound like he is talking about how one is living out their faith”?

For example: How do you understand James when he says the following words?

”Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him” (James 1:12).

The way I understand this is not how to get saved but I see it as living out your faith. We have to endure temptation and resist sin when we are tried, whereby we will receive the crown of life (salvation) as the result. This truly shows we love God and not our own sin or selfish ways. One is only fooling themselves if they say they love God and or they are saved and yet they are still holding to the idea they can justify sin on some level. Jesus warned about how even looking upon a woman in lust can cause our whole body to be cast into hellfire bodily (Matthew 5:28-30). Jesus did not end the sermon on the Mount with Him teaching to just believe on the finished work of the cross. Jesus did not end his sermon about how we do not need to worry about all the sins He just mentioned that can destroy your soul in the afterlife. That was not the conclusion He made. Just read Matthew 5, 6, and 7.
So you don’t believe that the finished work of the Cross alone is enough to provide salvation?

Why do you constantly switch topics and contexts? Continue with the primary topic you began many pages ago. You‘ve repeatedly said that we are saved by our good works (or something similar). You have now completely shifted the topic of discussion.. And you are unable to respond to the fundamental question of how someone must be saved.

So you don’t believe Matthew 5:28-30 and James 1:12?
You’re off topic again, so again, why do you constantly switch topics and contexts? Continue with the primary topic you began many pages ago. And you are unable to respond to the fundamental question of how someone must be saved. How is a person saved?

Jesus fulfilled the Law so we know He is the Messiah. Once He established being the Messiah, His commands are part of the New Covenant.
and
1 John 2:
3 And in this we know that we have known him, if we keep his commandments.

4 He that says: I have known him and keeps not his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him;

Matches John 15: 10 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love
Paul's words, Galatians 6:2 Bear the griefs of one another, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Paul tells us forget the Old Law in Romans but in Galatians instructs us to fulfill the Law of Christ. So the Old Law and the Laws of Christ "are not" the same.

So yes, if a church tells You the Old Law and the Law of Christ are the same, that is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Like I said, it takes the infilling of the Holy Spirit to know what I just presented to You. We are under the Law of Christ, whether You Grace people like it or not.

And I am a Grace person because I was saved by Grace. But now that I am saved, I am under the Law of Christ. This means to obey the commandments of Christ.

Here are some key Verses to John 15:
10 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love, as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

12 My commandment is this, that you love one another as I have loved you.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

So abiding in Christ is attached to the condition of "if ye do whatsoever I command you."
I believe this is about our personal relationship with Him. If we follow His commands we abide in his love. Personally. We don't automatically know His commands.

Our salvation abides in His Justice and righteousness. As we grow in His Grace and knowledge and get to know His will for us, we will abide in His love. Get to know Him on a more personal level. Personal fellowship....walking with him while filled with the Spirit.

We cannot love one another as He loved us, until we get to know Him. It is not in our nature to love like that. It is Christ in us that loves that way. We love because of who we are(Christ in us) not based upon who or what the other person is or isn't doing.

Impersonal, unconditional love for all, based upon who is in us(Christ.) We don't automatically do this. We have to grow, mature and get to know His mind. Honestly, we cannot do this if we are questioning our salvation. That has to be SOLVED and COMPLETE in our minds to advance in His plan for us.

"Truly, truly" or "Amen, amen" in His word is a point of doctrine. Pay close attention, and take it to heart because satan is going to twist and turn this truth to no end :

John 6:47
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

John 5:24

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Are You aware that the Gospel of John is a progression of first who Jesus is, second how to believe, what happens if we believe, then at the end how to remain in Him? It's the only Book in the Bible that is like it. It's a map and complete instruction manual.
