God alone deserves, and is worthy of, our worship. Therefore worship of Him is by definition NOT idolatry.

The end result is the same.
It’s just a matter of the process false doctrine is what creates idolatry when we believe the wrong things about God it distorts him o to something he isn’t

an idol is an image or a thing , false doctrine is the idea behind the idol or thing it’s why people think to worship the idol

False doctrine is lies about God or a false diety it leads to idolatry but isn’t an idol itself it creates the thoughts and intents and fallacy which becomes why the person becomes an idolatrous one

An idol is an image of a god we serve.

I'm some what confused by your opening post, I read the first part and thought at last someone believing in eternal security, but then your second part seems to take it away.

God is the Ultimate Authority Who allows people to cut themselves off from heaven for making incorrect doctrine their idol.
Aaron56 mentioned ‘cutting people out of their lives’, not ‘people cutting themselves off from heaven’. They are two completely different concepts.

They hate God is the reason why they choose to "believe" a doctrine that they know is false.
That makes even LESS SENSE. YES, people don't want to give God what he wants, but there's no intellectual satisfaction in pretending to believe something you know is FALSE.

YES!!! Humans are Spiritually stupid/ignorant, but your premise is beyond ignorant.

you disagree with what i said above at 4:58.
Here are your words:

“believing in & worshipping anyone, anywhere & anything is an idol & sinful.”

You didn’t qualify it until later. I responded appropriately to your post, exclusive of your later clarification.

it's common sense i excluded God, Jesus & the H.S. alright, we're on the same page, both b.a. believers.
