Most baptists do not consider themselves "Protestant." They believe baptists existed apart from and along side the Catholic church from the 1st century. They have to do a lot of contortions to get there, along with latching on to some seriously heretical movements.
the voice talked about in that scripture is the one Jesus said his children knows.Depends upon whose "voice" You desire to follow.
What do You think Jesus is saying, that You hear and it results in You following Him?the voice talked about in that scripture is the one Jesus said his children knows.
Can.you answer was it case the children followed Jesus in that verse because theu knew his voice.
Where talking about the context of this.verse at the moment let's stick to that for now
Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they followWhat do You think Jesus is saying, that You hear and it results in You following Him?
Wow, just adding multiple versions to simple straight forward words. How about You tell me what You think they mean because You clearly do not want to believe how God specifically said them word for word and in the order that He said them.Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they follow
What voice would.cause his sheep to follow is more important at this stage of our discussion,
I'm not talking about any other situation at this point.
I'm talking only at the context at this verse which more than suggest Jesus is talking about his children who hear his voice and then why follow.
So for this verse and solely based on the context on what this verse was said where his children following because they know who's voice it was. And at the same time was they hearing his voice because Jesus knew them too
This is not a game I'm playing in asking you a genuine question.Wow, just adding multiple versions to simple straight forward words. I have walked with God for a very long time. He no longer feeds me milk, so why would His commands be gentle, and not just direct like a mature Christian could handle? I hear and I obey, hence the following. This is not a game I'm playing in asking you a genuine question.
My stance is the voice his sheep are hearing a reassuring voice that keeps them and guides them into his pen.
While they may be some commands to in the bases of this context I would say, seeing as this verse is spoke in a loving context any command would also be a loving caring context. However the video that was posted suggested that would be conditional.
Do you think that verse was spoke on a conditional level. Baring in mind theese children spoke about are described as his children.
Maybe you could answer with a wow factor to this to![]()
Clearly you don't understand what "Protestant" means. It's short for churches that split from Rome during the reformation, primarily Lutherans, Calvinists, Methodists, and Anabaptists (e.g. Mennonites). Just because Baptists are against Rome doesn't make them "Protestant."Sources please.
In my experience: Most websites list them as Protestant. Sermons I have seen on YouTube that preached against the RCC heavily were Baptist.
ok I hope it's been a good rewarding walk for you.I have walked with God for a very long time. He no longer feeds me milk, so why would His commands be gentle, and not just direct like a mature Christian could handle? I hear and I obey, hence the following.
Dear precious friend, the missing ingredient [ for understanding ]it's a command He is obviously speaking to His sheep.
Most people go directly to Deuteronomy. I find that conditional because Moses gave that promise based upon obeying the Law. But maybe You have another Verse in mind.ok I hope it's been a good rewarding walk for you.
I can think of one verse where there is quite a lot of meat included with milk
It ends with I will not forget you and it's spoke about in the context of milk.
Any ideas what that verse may be
If You must rightly divide "My sheep hear my voice and they follow me," You are attempting to change the meaning.Dear precious friend, the missing ingredient [ for understanding ]
in this conversation seems to be The Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided - for prayerful / Careful consideration - ie:
God’s Complete Number Twelve represents:
Twelve baptisms, Twelve tribes of Israel (As A nation),
Twelve apostles who will rule in the Prophesied Kingdom
With Christ, The King, on Twelve thrones on the earth!
(Genesis 49:28; Isaiah 9:7, 32:1; Matthew 19:28;
Luke 22:30; James 1:1 cp Rev 21:9-14-21)
In Addition, the Old Testament ( for your review at your leisure )
has plenty of ' Twelves ' for earthly Israel = wells - Exodus 15:27; pillars
- Exodus 24:4; stones - Exodus 28:21, 39:14; rods - Numbers 17:2,6, etc..
Furthermore, Also compare God's Heavenly Jerusalem ( the bride,
The Lamb's wife ) awaiting ( the New Heavens and ) the descending
to The New earth, Which Has:
"Twelve gates, and at the gates Twelve angels, and Twelve names written
thereon, which are the names of the Twelve tribes of the children
of Israel:..."
+
"...the wall of the city had Twelve foundations, and in them the names
of the Twelve apostles of the Lamb...the foundations of the wall of the
city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first...the
Twelfth, an amethyst. And the Twelve gates were Twelve pearls"
(Rev 21:9-14-21):
Thus Twelve is important in:
God's Context Of His Prophecy / Covenants / Law earthly Program/Purpose
where we find Christ Teaching:
"But He Answered and Said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheepof the house of Israel." (Matthew 15:24 cf Matthew 10:6)
Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ!” (online)
Where One Is Important, In God's Other Context Of His:
"Revelation Of The Mystery"/ Grace Heavenly Program/Purpose:
"There is One Body, and One Spirit, Even as ye are called in One
hope of your calling; One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One God
and Father of all, Who Is Above all, and through all, and In you all!”
(Ephesians 4:3-6)
i.e.:
Paul, One Individual apostle, Both Roman and Hebrew, represents
Reconciliation, By Grace, of Both Jew and Gentile, as “Individuals”:
Spiritually Baptized (And "spiritually United!"), By:
One Baptism! (1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:5),
Into One Body, The One New Man (Ephesians 2:15), In Heaven!...
... [ By The One Deadly, But Amazingly Wonderful, Cross! ] Of Christ, The
Risen And Glorified Saviour, The One And Only Head Of His Heavenly Church!
(Acts 22:27-28; Philippians 3:5; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
(Ephesians 2:11-16, 4:1-6, 5:30)
In This Revelation Of The Mystery, we find no sheep, but we do find That
God Calls His Eternal Life Assured saints In His One Body of this Current
Dispensation of Grace:
“chosen” vessels, children (of Light), heirs, joint-heirs, soldiers, ambassadors,
beloved brethren, standers, walkers, runners, workers, co-laborers with God,
and students of The Word Of Truth. (Romans - Philemon)
Amen.

well I wish you well and I do hope you've reached the promise land. Most people go directly to Deuteronomy. I find that conditional because Moses gave that promise based upon obeying the Law. But maybe You have another Verse in mind.
How come by me not adhering to Your beliefs You automatically go to me obeying the Law? Kind of hypocritical isn't it? Nowhere have I made such indication. You just have certain options and if someone is different they automatically fall into this category. Am I actually speaking to an adult or some child here?well I wish you well and I do hope you've reached the promise land.
I just hope you don't start drinking raw bulls blood to be a warrior soldier for Christ.
Some may say there finely tuned but I suspect that bullocks lol.
But joking aside just for you since im feeling generous it's in Isaiah you know the prophet who spoke the words of Jesus from heaven
I agree to that.Didn't change anything, just pointed out that there are two Different programs
of God, which, if not Rightly Divided, only causes Confusion of understanding,
and God's Disapproval:

my dad would say bullocks to that to lol.I disagree so now I must be drinking raw bulls blood. Go tell Your parents it's past Your bedtime. Actually, put Your dad online. We probably should be having this discussion without You.
