Thank you. I'll check out the new Adam Sandler movie.
That Mysteries of the Faith series was not made for a Christian audience i know.
Honestly I am waiting for The Chosen so I can watch with my family again.
Adam Sandler seems to be very prolific! He has another new one out about being
a basketball scout from last year (The Hustle), and You Are So Not Invited To My
Batmitsva is from this year also, as is Murder Mystery 2... sometimes he is pure genius.

Leo would be a great movie for parents to watch with their children of any age...

It gets a rating of 7 on internet movie database .:). The movie title is a link to that page.

Thank you. I think this is something that i will like because it's a favorite genre.
If you know any other spiritual or close to Christian movies put them here so i or someone else can check them out.

Do you watch or listen to any non-Christian related content by the way? This is a question i ask everyone by the way because i know everyone is different in their choices.

I consider myself old now so i've seen and heard a lot of stuff which i have found interesting, entertaining, funny, scary, informational or educational and in the rare case spiritually edifying. This last part is rare because not a whole lot of content like that exists.
My favorite movie genre is usually sci-fi and mind-bending content with a lot of ethical overtones and sometimes action or drama or 3d related movies like Nemo etc. I like everything, but those have been favorites.

I think you mentioned this earlier but there's a Fatima movie on Netflix and i have been rewatching that many times now. It's a personal favorite like The Chosen.

I think I watched that Fatima movie a while back... yes, I have it logged on 2023-01-14. I watch a lot of content,
as long as it is well done and engages my interest, which can include many genres except horror. No horror!

Christian movies I have seen and recommended are All Saints (based on a true story, gotta love that!), Do You Believe
and also a movie I am trying to find in my list, something about potatoes LOL. Oh, it is Faith Like Potatoes!

I really need to augment my records to track the Christian content better, especially since as I age my memory worsens.

Sci fi has been a fave genre of mine for a long time. I watched Contact so many times! But there is so much more
available now which is a good thing because I totally wore that one out LOL. Loved many of the
Black Mirror
episodes, and really enjoyed Better Than Us also. Good dramas on Netflix are appreciated as well, such as
The Last Kingdom which is at least somewhat historically based. I love movies or series like that because
it prompts me to research the times being depicted. I have seen many many shows on the monarchy, which
I like, not the monarchy itself, but just the historical aspect of power struggles and especially those that involve
the church. Humour is high on my list also. Just before going back to work last year I watched most of Seinfeld.
LOL. I had never seen it before! I did watch it all, and loved the way they wrapped the series up with highlights
from over the years as the main characters were being tried for all their misdeeds.

I love a good documentary, and recommend Our Planet, made available on youtube because everyone should watch it.

Seen Breaking Bad four times and also loved Better Call Saul. Both brilliant, and many say the prequel was even better...

Thank you @Magenta. I love that list and i have watched a few of what you mentioned and watch the rest.
Black mirror is also very interesting to me because it talks about the abuses of technology and the dependency of the technology and they always play the dark angle. There are only like 2 positive episodes in that whole series and everything has a very dark take.

I will check out your list.
I'm assuming you've watched the Heaven is for real movie because you know the name of that girl who painted the face of Jesus.

I don't think I have seen that movie, but I am aware of that young artist from years ago...

You are welcome! Must mention Working Moms, Dead To Me, The Kominsky Method, Flaked, Unstable, Derby Girls...

Haha there are so many! Those are all comedies I enjoyed. I love a good laugh .:D

Sick and twisted can be up my alley but only to a point. There have been a few shows I simply could not watch, like Hand Maidens Tale. Major ugh and totally nixed for its reprehensibly twisted depictions of Scripture. Too graphic is also not something I care for, as in gratuitous violence, or the other when unnecessary. I liked Bloodline. I think The Matrix replaced Contact for me. I cannot count how many times I've seen it. I also watched Alien not too long ago and greatly appreciated the very spare sets. In great movies there is always something to notice that maybe went unseen before. I saw both those sci fis when they came to theatres. The Matrix was 24 years ago; I took my daughter, who was 13 at the time. Alien, wow, so many years ago! I remember thinking how predictable it was but had me on the edge of my seat nonetheless! Must mention Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. Godless. Salvation. Living With Yourself. Secret City. The Code. Head Hunters. Deep Water. Shetland. Schitts' Creek. The English Game. The Politician. The Keepers... Those may not all be available on Netflix.

My Octopus Teacher.

This is awesome Magenta, i also have same preferences and tolerances too. :D

The Matrix, since you mentioned it, has also influenced a lot of recent physicists who have come up with these theories of either a multiverse or a virtual reality, all which scream the name Creator without them saying the name Creator because it would be a career-ending move for them.
They glorify God whether they realize it or not, but the movie itself is very well made in it's breakthrough effects for its time and for its philosophical message.

Thanks again, i have added a lot of what you said to my lists both in Amazon prime or Netflix and other platforms. :D

You are welcome! I forgot to mention two that I would highly recommend to anyone: Fauda, and Hit and Run.

I watched the latter one first, and liked it so much I looked up the main actor, who had a hand in the making of the former.

Lior Raz - an Israeli actor and screenwriter. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces
and became a commando in the elite undercover counter-terrorism unit known as Sayeret Duvdevan.
He also served in the Duvdevan Unit in the reserves for 20 years.

Fauda is especially compelling in light of current events, depicting human stories on both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Ya know, we always have the crucifixion as the Christian symbol. But, what about His resurrection? Why don't we have a symbol for that?

That baby pushing away the sport drink.

Ive heard a conversation like this many times. Once I heard two guys arguing if there were 48 states or 52 in America, lol.
I think it might have been Jay Leno who was doing a man-on-the-street interview who pointed to a waving American flag and asked this woman how many stars the flag had. She said, "I can't tell, it's moving too fast." America is so successful it made it safe to be stupid. Ugh.

Thank you @Magenta for the recommendations. As far as the current wars and stuff like that is concerned, i try to stay away from it especially when things are politicized.
I came from a church service right now and during my whole bible studies this year, the conflict in middle east has crept itself only once and some people turned it to politics. So the priest, rightly so, said that we are here to gather in the name of God not to do politics.

I have seen half of that top list but never heard of the 3 titles in the bottom, so i will definitely check them out.
This is going to keep our family busy now. :D

Thanks again.

This is a good point and i agree with you but the thing is that the iconography exists but it's not at the same level of the cross which symbolized Christianity and Jesus' sacrifice. So the cross is always elevated when it's also His resurrection that should be elevated which defines Christianity.

That also sounds like something i would enjoy Magenta. I will check it out later since it's an hour long but i started the video to see the show style and i will like it.

And the WELCOME sign made me laugh out loud because it reminded me that story which i shared in this topic, where there are no Welcome signs when you come back to America from Canada at the Vermont checkpoint. Whereas when you go to Canada you get a lot of nice big signs welcoming you to Canada.

Look at this tiny Welcome sign at the airport. Welcome home jerk !!:ROFL::ROFL: What do you want? A welcome sign and universal healthcare? That's for babies !
Grab a free gun and start hunting for food!
