In answer to your OP question: Biblical numerics is wrong if one seeks to tell the future by the numbers in the Bible or they seek to lead their life on a personal level by numbers. Numbers in the Bible are primarily there to show us that the Bible is divine in origin. Revelation 13:18 actually tells us to count a particular number and it ascribes a meaning to it. So those who are against counting numbers in the Bible with a particular meaning must say that Revelation 13:18 is incorrect for being in our Bible. Many numbers in the Bible have an ascribed meaning to them just like Revelation 13:18. The number 40 means a trial or testing. Noah was in the ark for 40 days. Jesus fasted for 40 days, and nights. The number 7 is God’s perfect number and it means completion or rest. God rested on the seventh day. Revelation is the last book of the Bible and tons of the number 7 can be found everywhere. 2 Timothy 3:16 says All Scripture is profitable for doctrine and instruction in righteousness and this would include the numbers listed in the Bible. Man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY word of God. In fact, there are numerical patterns that glorify God and Jesus that are on an astronomically insane level which goes beyond mere coincidence or the empty claims by others who say Moby Dick has the same patterns. They might have been scared that it is occult numerology by some Pastor who sounds impressive to them. I don’t know. But surely God did not tell the Israelites to march around Jericho seven times as meaning absolutely nothing. I like Brandon Peterson’s videos on biblical numerics. I may not agree with every point he makes, but for the most part, he is really talented. It’s not my talent to do what he does. Mike Hoggard also has a great series on biblical numerics, too. Mike’s number 7 two part video is really good. But my favorite video is by Brandon involving the number 7. It can be found
here (If you have not seen it already). Nobody can watch that video and say it is just random chance. Nobody. They would have to either be insane or they are not spiritually discerning involving God’s Word in any way.
I know it is not popular but I actually came up with 101 Reasons for the King James Bible being the Pure Word of God for today. I also have came up with Ten Main Categories that defends the KJB, as well. I have been writing my PDF over the past year or so. But there are a lot of sub articles to finish and write. The things I have discovered is staggering to say the least. I was particularly blown away in how the King James Bible has had such a positive impact or influence here in America. The first printed English Bible (OT and NT) was the King James Bible (i.e., the Aitken’s Bible) endorsed by Congress. While Robert Aitken KJB edition was not a success financially, others quickly took up his place in continuing to make the KJB the dominant Bible here in America. From the 18th century to the early 1960’s the King James Bible was the Bible. Abraham Lincoln was gifted with a felt covered KJB by the black community. Lincoln used speech from the KJB in his Gettysburg address. Presidents Woodrow Wilson (running for president) and Theodore Roosevelt (former president) had both spoke highly of the King James Bible within days of the 300th Anniversary of the King James Bible. The KJB was quoted from outer space when we first orbited the moon. Ronald Reagan’s famous radio speech praised the KJB over the Modern Bibles. It was this nation’s national book.
Granted, there are those who hold to the KJB as the pure Word and yet they can hold to false doctrines. So it is like every other belief out there. People can hold to correct doctrines and false ones. Some KJB believers can be more sound like David Cloud of Way of Life. Other KJB believers can hold to false doctrines like Bryan Denlinger who rejects the Trinity, and Gary Rovarino (founder of the KJB museum in Arizona) who believes the Apocrypha in the 1611 is inspired and who takes numerics to a whole different level that is not normal or natural. Some KJB believers can be a little mean and or not represent the truth correctly at all times like Gail Riplinger. Granted, I have no ill will towards them. I just wish things were different. My goal is to love all but speak the truth.
The Catholic Church is actually one of the many reasons why I am Core KJB (not KJV Only). Meaning, the KJB is more core foundational text, but I believe it is a must we use Modern Bibles to help understand the archaic language in the KJB (like I would use a dictionary that may be flawed). While a Modern Bible can lead a person to Christ, they also have major problems. Modern Bibles teach false doctrines (like Jesus is a created demi-god, Jesus had faith, Jesus had no power during His earthly ministry, abortion, fornication being removed or watered down, etcetera), . In addition, direct references of the Trinity are removed like 1 John 5:7 and the word “Godhead” (meaning Trinity) is removed and changed to divinity in it’s three appearances in the KJB.
The Nestle and Aland is a New Testament Greek text is the basis for most Modern English Bibles today. While the Nestle and Aland is in it’s 28th edition, the Nestle and Aland 27th edition actually says that it was supervised by the Vatican and United Bible societies. If you were to Google Keith Piper NIV, and look to page 21 or 22 of his PDF, he lists 14 changes in the NIV that favor the Catholic Church (When comparing it to the trusty KJB). This means they have an agenda to take the Word of God out of our hands. These are the facts, and there is even more if people dig. So I don’t trust the Catholic Church and neither should you by saying that we should obey them even though you say they are evil. My wife has an Uncle who passed away who was a devout Catholic and he sung the same tune in that the Catholic Church is evil, and yet we should obey them. One, God would never tell us to submit to idolatry, praying to the dead, and set up pope like figures in long flowing robes. He would never have us confess our sins to a priest when we can confess our sins directly to Jesus. Salvation is also by Mary in the Catholic Church. That is downright heresy. Nobody should submit to such apostasy. unless they are blind to it’s spiritual darkness that they teach. The Catholics used to kill people for having the Scriptures. The Catholics killed two major translators of the Textus Receptus Bibles leading up to the KJB (William Tyndale and John Rogers). Guy Fawkes (A Catholic) almost killed King James and his translation with a super bomb. Then Westcott and Hort started the Modern Bible movement we have today. Yes, even the Nestle and Aland is based primarily on their work. Westcott and Hort came out with a New Testament Greek text based on two manuscripts. One NT manuscript was the VATICANus (Locked away in a Catholic vault). The other one was Sinaiticus found in a trash can. Eldon Jay Epp (A Textual Critic) did a study and found that the Nestle and Aland NT Greek text is barely any different than the Westcott and Hort NT Greek. Westcott and Hort were into Catholic practices. They also shacked up later with Unitarians on the Revised Version. So why would I entirely trust Bibles that come from that line? I wouldn’t. They are Vatican bibles with corrupt doctrines. People are impressed by the scholars (or the scribes of our day). There is no settled Word of God for them. They have no actual book of the LORD (Isaiah 34:16) that they can point to and hold in their hands. They have phantom bibles that exist only in their own minds or the minds of their favored scholars. They and or the scholar become the authority and not the Bible alone. The Bible they have is a shape-shifter bible that constantly shape shifts every few years. For example: In Mark 1:41: The NIV used to say that Jesus healed the leper in kindness, but the newer NIV says he healed in indignation. The KJB critics may say that there are changes in the KJB over the years, but back in the day the printing process was very messy and difficult to get done correctly. Until the printing process was perfected to get back to the hand written master copy of the KJB, the Word of God would finally be settled with the Pure Cambridge KJB Edition (circa 1900 or the one in WW2). There is so much more I could write. But hopefully this will help you to see the light, friend.
Granted, if some fellow Christian does not believe the KJB is the pure Word, I do not count them as an enemy or anything. I believe there are shared truths we can rejoice in. A person can even be saved by a Modern Translation. However, I know I cannot force people to see what I have studied for so long involving the KJB.
