Luke 1:41
“And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:”
...so it was Elisabeth who was filled with the Holy Ghost.
yes I recall it's interesting, I wonder if John the Baptist was Elijah,
The verse sounds as if the spirit was aware inside the womb who Jesus was.
But how could a new born baby never been born to this world have known.
It's one of those verses that has me once again believing reincarnation is real
Sounds to me that Elizabeth responded to the sound of Mary's voice. John reacted to the presence of Jesus.
It makes more sense to me, but also it could be me refusing to believe That Jesus Got baptised for other reasons.
What scripture can you provide that supports your claim that God prefers we eat unleavened bread?
i am just pointing out that Everyone says Jesus fulfilled the Law, but then say the things He did, which were to the Letter of the Law, was now done for other reasons.
i have no problem with that, but, i think Jesus, not only fulfilled the Law in what He did, but also fulfilled other things at same time.
He is God, He's not limited.
because He's God, and because in Him is no sin, fulfilling the Law, which is a testament of His character, i don't imagine required any great amount of effort for Him.
so i agree with the view that it was secondary to His primary purposes for doing the things He did. inevitable, but not the goal.
The verse says what says. It's not the only verse that relates to drinking alcohol. For example, Samson's mother was told not to drink alcohol during pregnancy. That implies that there was the possibility that she would. It also implies that there was otherwise nothing inherently wrong with alcohol.
Qualifications for eldership:
"not addicted to wine, not a bully nor quick-tempered and hot-headed, but gentle and considerate, free from the love of money [not greedy for wealth and its inherent power—financially ethical]. 1 Timothy 3:3, Amplified, also 1:7
It does not say that an elder must be teetotal. Doctrines I abide by? Jesus is the life of those who are born again. It's no longer I that lives but Christ who lives in me. I refuse to let anyone judge me by what I eat or drink or sabbath rules that no longer apply to me. The only way to overcome the flesh is to walk in the Spirit.
I do not live by doctrine. I live because Jesus rose from the dead. His cross is my cross. When Jesus died, so did I. When Jesus rose again, so did I. My weapon of choice is the Living Word of God, the Sword of the Spirit. The letter kills, the Spirit gives life. The Law is th shadow of realities that have now come. Some love the shadows. Me, I prefer to live in the light.
You would have to ask modes why the OP was banned. I have my understanding as to why, but its not my place to say so.

Thank you for pointing this out. I'd forgotten about that.
This forum is not perfect because people are not perfect. Everyone is at as different point in their walk with Jesus. I cringe at some of the opinions I had when I was first saved. I had to learn to forgive myself for my arrogance. However, there is a line that can be crossed. The mods decide where that line is drawn. I think the person in question had a fair go to express his views as you have done also. You have not crossed the line. Obviously he (I am confident that the poster is male) crossed the line. That is fairly hard to do on this particular forum. Mods show a lot of tolerance generally. I subscribe to another Christian forum. The mods there are much less tolerant.

I always think of Jesus fulfilling the law, as coming to re-establish the law,
The very first stern warning was Jesus saying do not think I have come to abolish the law.
Then comes I have come to fulfill it.
It seems people automatically take that to mean I have come to live by it and show that not breaking one law could be achieved,
In my eyes there is no doubt, that from the beginning before Jesus came, he knew fine well without any doubt he would not break one law when he came, the fulfillment was already fulfilled before he come in the flesh.
As you know spirit can sin as the Bible teaches us such, such as spiritual sin happening, to the point where many angels where cast out from heaven.
Then the debate comes the fulfillment has to happen in the flesh for quite a few reasons.
Again tho my personal instinct tells me final fulfillment was For Jesus to be a Judge of the heart and all mankind, the completion of fulfillment of Having laws written on hearts, was For Jesus to be Judge of all hearts,
So the fulfillment is not over for every individual
I think that both Elizabeth and her unborn baby, John, were filled with the Holy Spirit. Just my thoughts.
