Luke 1:41-42.I can't recall the verse
Luke 1:41Luke 1:41-42.
yes I recall it's interesting, I wonder if John the Baptist was Elijah,Luke 1:41-42.
Sounds to me that Elizabeth responded to the sound of Mary's voice. John reacted to the presence of Jesus.Luke 1:41
“And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:”
...so it was Elisabeth who was filled with the Holy Ghost.
It makes more sense to me, but also it could be me refusing to believe That Jesus Got baptised for other reasons.I have no issue with that viewpoint.
We only know what the Bible shows us.
but John wrote if they wrote down everything Jesus did, all the libraries in the world could not contain them.
So, it is possible.
you've lost me it sounds like your of on one again lolthis is why i wonder about Banning People.
Yes, if it goes against WHO GOD IS, definitely!
but, in all other Non Salvation matters, we really don't and only know, Jesus, did so many things, it's possible He did things not listed in the Bible.
What scripture can you provide that supports your claim that God prefers we eat unleavened bread?Actually, God does prefer we eat unleavened bread, but leavened bread doesn't cause the absolute devastation that alcohol does.
He's been banned...What scripture can you provide that supports your claim that God prefers we eat unleavened bread?
i am just pointing out that Everyone says Jesus fulfilled the Law, but then say the things He did, which were to the Letter of the Law, was now done for other reasons. It makes more sense to me, but also it could be me refusing to believe That Jesus Got baptised for other reasons.
i am just pointing out that Everyone says Jesus fulfilled the Law, but then say the things He did, which were to the Letter of the Law, was now done for other reasons.
i have no problem with that, but, i think Jesus, not only fulfilled the Law in what He did, but also fulfilled other things at same time.
He is God, He's not limited.
The verse says what says. It's not the only verse that relates to drinking alcohol. For example, Samson's mother was told not to drink alcohol during pregnancy. That implies that there was the possibility that she would. It also implies that there was otherwise nothing inherently wrong with alcohol.that you clearly objected to read the Verses before this one.
it relates to carrying your Tithing.
23 And you shall eat before the Lord, your God, in the place He chooses to establish His Name therein, the tithes of your grain, your wine, and your oil, and the firstborn of your cattle and of your sheep, so that you may learn to fear the Lord, your God, all the days.
24 And if the way be too long for you, that you are unable to carry it, for the place which the Lord, your God, will choose to establish His Name therein, is too far from you, for the Lord, your God, will bless you
25 Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and you shall go to the place the Lord, your God, will choose.
26 And you shall turn that money into whatever your soul desires; cattle, sheep, new wine or old wine, or whatever your soul desires, and you shall eat there before the Lord, your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.

so the Thread OP was absolutley Correct.
but, i wonder, did this CHERRY-PICKED Verse get him Banned.
Please, can you tell me the Doctrines you abide by.
There's at least 3 that also uses Cherry-Picked Verses.
Just wondering if you happen to follow those and are just used to picking random Verses and making a weapon out of it?
Thank you for pointing this out. I'd forgotten about that.Matthew 11:18-19For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' But wisdom is justified by her children.
this seems to make it very clear that Jesus did not totally abstain from wine and that what is being referred to as wine is fermented.
This forum is not perfect because people are not perfect. Everyone is at as different point in their walk with Jesus. I cringe at some of the opinions I had when I was first saved. I had to learn to forgive myself for my arrogance. However, there is a line that can be crossed. The mods decide where that line is drawn. I think the person in question had a fair go to express his views as you have done also. You have not crossed the line. Obviously he (I am confident that the poster is male) crossed the line. That is fairly hard to do on this particular forum. Mods show a lot of tolerance generally. I subscribe to another Christian forum. The mods there are much less tolerant.if the bullies got him, then maybe those Reviews about this place are more factual then hurt opinion..
What scripture can you provide that supports your claim that God prefers we eat unleavened bread?
I always think of Jesus fulfilling the law, as coming to re-establish the law,i am just pointing out that Everyone says Jesus fulfilled the Law, but then say the things He did, which were to the Letter of the Law, was now done for other reasons.
i have no problem with that, but, i think Jesus, not only fulfilled the Law in what He did, but also fulfilled other things at same time.

Jesus would not make Himself vulnerable.
He would not give the devil any advantage.. alcohol lowers your ability to make wise choices.
