Those that kill themselves... when did they have time to ask for forgiveness and then turn away from their sin?

Suicide is one sin people can't just turn away from because they are now dead due to their sinful behavior.

I'm simply reporting to you folks what God says in His Word... which is, if one destroys their body which is supposed to be the Temple of the Holy Spirit... then God will destroy them

1 Corinthians 3:16,17
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any man destroys the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Matthew 10:28
Fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

If we die with sin on our record then it stays with us for eternity which means it cannot be taken away.

We cannot repent of our sins after we die for if that was the case then everybody would be saved, for the people that died in their sins would not say I think I will stay in my sins, even though I cannot enjoy sin anymore, and not be with God with joy, and peace, and love.

If a person commits suicide which is a sin then how do they repent of it after the act of suicide for they are dead which means it is on their record for eternity.

So, your’e saying one has to die without even one small sin that has not been repented of. I dare say , no one would be saved, if that is the case. You place too much emphasis on man, and forget the victory through .Jesus

Yep!

That's why the verse I posted are in context and do apply to those that are murdering themselves

Folks that are cherry pickers who only believe a select few ver4se from God's Word... sadly don't have a firm grasp on context which leads to them believing things that are not biblical... such as people to to Heaven if they commit suicide.

The wages of sin is still death... and what Jesus did on the Cross is only applicable to those that abide IN Christ which one cannot do if they are doing sinful stuff (see John 15)

This is true... but, some folks start believing like the catholics that there are second chances after one dies.

This is because they have itching ears and they so love un-biblical doctrine that tickles their ears!

They probably have a toy for their kids they call Tickle-Me-Ear-O laughing3.gif

This is another trick of the devil to get people to kill themselves is to bring thoughts to their minds in the first person "I'm mentally ill so if I kill myself I'll go to Heaven and it'll all be OK... God will understand and let me in to Heaven!" as to justify their actions to help them believe suicide is OK and to go ahead and do it.

The devil loves to bring his thoughts to people's minds in the first person as though it was THEIR thought and when they believe it is THEIR thought then satan has captured their inner most counsel which is capturing their conscience.

This is being possessed by the devil so he can lead people to kill themselves and/or to harm others are do other evil things.

Speaking of suicide.... What Canadian needs a MAID?

Canada set to legalize MAID for drug addicts

If you don't know what M.A.I.D. is it's an acronym for Medical Assistance in Dying.

When Canada expands doctor-assisted suicide — or medical assistance in dying (MAID) — next year to people whose sole condition is that they struggle from severe mental illness, it is looking increasingly likely that the government will also allow people who are addicted to drugs to qualify as well. Many have described this latest dystopian move in Canada’s increasingly expanding MAID regime as eugenics.

As the government appears to make every effort possible to make it easier for Canadians to get addicted to dangerous drugs and to keep them addicted to drugs, the government is now opening the door to letting them take their own lives at the hands of the state.

It is much worse than this. They are going to start allowing euthenasia for depressed people March, 2024. That's 4 months from now! So, if someone is depressed and wants to kill themselves, instead of giving them counseling, or a job if they are jobless or a home if they are homeless, the gov't is just going to kill them. It is horrible!

There are many Conservative MPs that are fighting this legislation, but Trudeau has a death agenda, and it will stand, because he has a majority with the NDP, also death mongers. Fortunately, Trudeau is now almost universally hated, and will not win another election. But, he doesn't have to have an election until 2025, so it may take a while to overturn this terrible rule.

MAID is a scourge! When it first came out, only for those who were actually dying, I protested and fought it. People told me I was wrong, and the terminally ill should be able to kill themselves. Well, they could always kill themselves, but now the gov't does it for them. I kept telling people it would be a slippery slope, and eventually the mentally ill would be targeted. People said, no, just the really sick, I didn't have the right to stop people from killing themselves.

Well, now people who were ok with the terminally ill killing themselves have realized how evil this legislation is. What is even worse is that Canada has become the top country in the world for organ donations. That's because they push people to donate their organs who are being killed. So, now the organ mill is prospering. I"m not against people getting organ donations, if it comes from someone who died in a car accident, or a heart attack. But when it is depressed people? Just so wrong!

I go by what God's Word says... not by silly comments made on the internet by those who either don't know God's Word very well... or that may be tares among wheat...

1 John 3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not

1 John 2:4
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 1:6
if we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1 John 2:1
I write these things unto you, that ye sin not

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil

1 Corinthians 15:34
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

We should not be willingly or knowingly doing sinful things... it should be a very rare occasion for a Christian to sin and IF they did it would NOT be a situation where it's something they knew it was sinful and they decided to do it anyway.

It's too bad some folks argue in favor of living in sin and call themselves Christians! clueless-doh.gif

Arrogance is on the part of those refusing to submit themselves to what God says in His Word!

This is quite common among those suffering from acute Cherry Pickers Syndrome (CPS) who don't believe all of what the Lord says in His Word... they just believe bits-n-paces of what the Lord says.

I did actually answer your question... with God's Word!

Hope things get better for you homie, I really do. embarassed.gif

A person that is mentally ill is not capable of rationalizing. So, any Christian that dies before having a chance to confess a sin, regardless of what it was, is going to hell? You better had confessed each and every sin that you ever committed. If you overlook or forget such sin, no matter what it was, it may not end well for you.

Have you no understanding that God is NOT mocked... what we sow is what we reap??? clueless-scratching.gif

God is NOT mocked, the belief that we can sin and not reap corruption is mocking God

Galatians 6:7-8 (see Gen 8:22)
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For
he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

As Galatians 6:7,8 tells us... if we so to the flesh (sin) we shall reap corruption.

That's because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Those walking in darkness are not automatically cleansed from their sin because... they are doing sinful things refusing to be led by the Holy Spirit which is what those committing suicide are doing... NOT being led by the Holy Spirit.

When one turns away from the Lord and sins, they must forsake their sin and confess their sin to the Lord in order to be in right standing with the Lord once again according to His Word.

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The only cherry picker is you! Because you have systematically ignored every single verse on God’s compassion, mercy and grace. You ignore the love of God.

God is love, 1 John 4:8, 16.

You think you are some kind of OT prophet, yet even God made sure they had mercy! Although I agree you have totally missed the grace of God. Undeserved Favour.

You have also ignored the sovereignty of God. God is the one who is in control of salvation. Not mockers like you! You preach a disgusting, works based gospel. We are DEAD when Christ saves us. Nothing we can do to make ourselves saved, or stay saved.

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world, and the ruler of the kingdom of the air…
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ, even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved…
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and not of yourself, it is the gift of God - not be works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Eph. 2: 1-10

Every post you make is a boast about your righteousness. Not Jesus righteousness. I am nothing without Christ. I am so glad I don’t have to live in fear of making a tiny misstep and God throwing me out of the Kingdom. Because that is what you are saying. Even Arminian philosophy depends upon the grace of God for salvation, although it is synergistic, and adds man’s will to the pot. But never in such a way that makes man responsible for making or keeping his salvation.

You have some kind of out to lunch soteriology that we have to be saved over and over each time we sin. What a man based lie! What a devil-promoted discouragement. I could never keep my salvation - I know my own wretchedness. As Paul says in Romans:

“But I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work in me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me from Jesus Christ our Lord!” Romans 7:23-25

You have confused the three aspects of salvation.
1. Justification Romans 5:1 “Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We do NOT save ourselves. It is God, through the power of the Holy Spirit who justifies. We are not suddenly made perfect, but we are suddenly taken from death to life. Christ changes our hearts and minds, and begins the process of salvation.

2. Sanctification - Romans 6:22 “But now, freed from sin and enslaved to God you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal l.ife. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

This process takes the rest of our life! God knows that we will not be perfect while we live in mortal flesh, but he has made a way for us to be cleansed from sin. We do not lose our salvation in this period of sanctification. We simply grow more like Jesus, learning and depending upon the Holy Spirit to keep us growing into Christ.

“If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10

John continues in chapter 2:

“My little children, I am writing these things to you so you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One, and he himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins, but also for the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2

Yes, we do sin! Yes, we need to confess our sins. But, do we lose our salvation each time we sin, meaning we would go to hell if we died in that moment? NEVER! We do not go back to being dead people each time we sin. What an absurd soteriology!
Take your heresy elsewhere. Stop condemning people and taking them back to the OT laws. Maybe God has not truly saved you, that you believe you lose your salvation each time you sin. I feel so sorry for you.

“Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

3. Glorification
“And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified. “ Romans 8:30

One day, we will see Jesus face to face, then we will be like him, cause we shall see him as he is.

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2

Not only do we not lose our salvation with each sin we make, but God has made a way to cleanse us, and one day we will be like Jesus!

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image, with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Cor. 3:17-18

Cease with your scare tactics and browbeating every one inside and outside this forum. Your preach a very false gospel, a deadly, empty, works-gospel. Turn to Jesus and perhaps he will save you from your wretched, terrible theology.

What experience do you have with suicidal people? Yes, Satan is the murderer and it is he that drives people to suicide. However, in my experience, suicidal people have lost all hope in a worthwhile life. They see no future.

Those who are born again are forgiven. For them, they miss out on the rewards that are for those who finish the race set before them. However, they are accepted by God because they have a righteousness that does not depend on behaviour. It is the righteousness of Christ. It's easy to judge. Be careful, because we will be judged as we have judged others.

For the unsaved, they enter a lost eternity that much sooner.

You ignore the love of God.

1 John 5:3
For this IS the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

The mercy of God and the grace of God... is to warn others that false doctrines leads to perdition.

Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

What experience do you have with suicidal people?

I've been there myself, more than once. I used to be a drunk and a drug addict back in the day and came from a family where if you died, they wouldn't even miss you!

The Lord personally walked me thru His Word and taught me how to engage in spiritual warfare. None of the pastors in the churches I went to over the years knew beans about spiritual warfare so they were useless concerning spiritual growth!

It's a slick trick of the devil to have well known preachers go around claiming if a Christian kills themselves they will go to Heaven... these are all false teachers satan is using to get this message out.

And surprise!... these false teachers all believe in OSAS so they all ultimately believe one goes to Heaven anyway even if they live in sin including the SIN of killing themselves.

Many of these false teachers engage in double speak and publicly claim they don't believe in OSAS but later when corned with the question of is there anyway a Christian would not go to Heaven even if living in sin... they always say no, there is no way a Christian would ever not to to Heaven.

suicidal people have lost all hope in a worthwhile life. They see no future.

And, that's their own fault!... THEY allowed the devil to deceive them because they failed to submit themselves to God and resist the devil making him flee (James 4:7).

That was the turning point in my life when I learned to quit blaming others for my problem and realize my problems are caused by my lack of submission unto the Lord and dying to self, taking up my cross and following the Lord daily.

People that have no hope... it's all about them and they are feeling sorry for themselves cause it's all about them and how they feel and their problems and boo whoo woe is me!

One must learn that it's all about the LORD and what He wants and to die to self and abide IN HIM as a part of the Body of Christ and cast our own cares, worries, and hurts away.

However, they are accepted by God because they have a righteousness that does not depend on behavior.

Are you saying if one sows to the flesh (do sinful things), they don't reap corruption?

That is mocking God according to Galatians 6:7-8 and is the belief that one can live in sin and still be in right standing before the Lord... both of which false doctrines that pleases satan very much as this is his message!

God gave man free will... if man chooses to turn and walk away from the Lord, God will let them do so.

This is a major biblical truth the OSAS crowd always explains away or denies is simply this... God is NOT mocked, what we sow is what we reap - if we sow to the flesh we shall of the flesh reap corruption. (Gal 6:7,8)

In Gal 6:8, the word corruption is...

G5356
fthora from G5351; decay, i.e. ruin -- corruption, destroy, perish.

G5351
strengthened from phthio (to pine or waste); properly, to shrivel or wither, i.e. to spoil or to ruin, by moral influences, to deprave): -- corrupt (self), defile, destroy.

If one claims we DO reap corruption when we sin, then they are admitting they do not believe OSAS / Eternal security doctrine (and sadly many of their friends will forsake them!).... and if one claims we DO NOT reap what we sow, then according to Gal 6:7, that would be mocking God!

Adam and Eve were given eternal life by the Lord when He created them... but when they sinned against God they became corrupt and died spiritually and became separated from God.

So Gal 6:7,8 is quite the quandary, quite the state of uncertainty and perplexity for the adherents of OSAS doctrine.

Romans 8:11-13
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
