it's a Covenant to not be CURSED

Deuteronomy 27:1-8
In this final sermon (27:1-30:20) Moses exhorted the people to keep the covenant. He called upon them to renew their commitment to obey the covenant. The people had to choose what they were going to do: obey and experience blessings or disobey and experience a curse.
next chapter, blessings.
same Law. same covenant.

Not the covenant we are part of, btw

exactly, if you KEEP the LAW you get Blessed. you don't keep the LAW you get CURSED

nothing about 10 Commandments here.
nothing about the 10 Commandments here because "the Law" is all of the statutes, ordinances, judgements and commandments - all of it. and all of it is required, under that covenant.

agreed

they made a Covenant with the LAW
they made a covenant with the LORD, their Maker, Shepherd and Husband.

a marriage covenant.

and that covenant has a law. the tablets are like a wedding ring. because we died with Christ, we do not wear that ring.

which Commandment relates to sleeping with animals [Curse]?

no, the MARRIAGE did not happen until the Messiah.
they're still waiting to be married because they rejected Christ, WHO, is the Husband.

what on earth is God talking about in Jeremiah then, giving Israel a certificate of divorce?

There is the wife of YHWH, Israel,
and there is the betrothed bride of Christ, the Church.

we are not yet married. our Husband is preparing a house for us, and will. Come to snatch us away to the wedding feast of the Lamb.

Israel however wed, and committed adulteries, and the LORD put her away - but He will return to her, speaking to her kindly, and redeem her.

but the builder of the house, yes, I think so.
then breaking the tablets is His forbearance, saving us from the curse of them. it is Him breaking His body for us, so we can be healed

you are saying the LAW relates to a Marriage.
the LAW is to show your SINS.
you're saying they married the definition to their Sins

No, they married the LORD - - what sin can be hidden from your Husband?

Isaiah 54:5
For your Maker is your husband,
The LORD of hosts is His name
things may be satisfactorily defined by what they are not.
sin is all that falls short of the glory of God

but this only has to do with the LAW.
it's the Covenant that was made.

if the 10 Commandments were part of the LAW, why was the Commandments placed into a TYPE of Jesus Christ [Ark of the Covenant] and the Covenant or Law was not?

you're saying they're the same, but God separates them. how are they the Same when God separated them from one another?

Deuteronomy 5:1-5
And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: "Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them. The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. The LORD did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who [are] here today, all of us who [are] alive. The LORD talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire. I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the LORD; for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain. He said...

Who wrote Deuteronomy 5?
so the decalogue is part of the Law.

as a second witness in Romans 7 Paul cites "do not covet" as part of "the Law" that we are not under as believers with part in Christ.

a STATUTE, is a LAW, the Ordinance, is the specifics to that Law.

witness #3

Deuteronomy 4:13-14
So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone. And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might observe them in the land which you cross over to possess.
