How to Fix?

For some reason the coloring changed on the heading on my CC page to maroon, my icon is missing/deleted, and when I try to post one of the 'like, friendly, funny etc' characters, they don't show. I may have accidentally tapped something that did this, idk. Anyone familiar with this?

Can you send a screenshot?
If you're on Windows you can use the Windows Sniping tool to just capture the area with the problem, and then post it here.

I'll see, my helper is out of town so I'll go to the ultimate helper the HG for direction, lol. It may be my battery is super low so I may have to wait til they send my new one Tuesday. Thx!
BTW on my screen, the happy face I put on your reply is just an empty square. On notmyown's reply, I see a solid yellow and solid green ball, no agree check or happy face.

A PC?
A Mac?
Something else?

That's why a screenshot helps, because as the saying goes, a picture says a thousand words.

As far as things looking discolorized that could be because accidentally we may select or touch a part of the screen.

Again, i don't know how it looks on your end, but a screenshot would help.

I just got on and most of the probs seem fixed ie normal coloring, but notice the 'show all' square doesn't show a character. I wonder is it blank on your screen because if so I'll hold off giving blank squares away, lol.

Thank you for the honorable mention (which I missed LOL) but I have no idea what Tabs is dealing with!!!

Reading one of her replies, it does sound like a cache issue... which requires a machine reboot.

Thank you for the screenshot.
So you're on Windows 10 using Google Chrome.
Based on that, do the first suggestion that Magenta said. Clear the google chrome cache and then do a reboot after.

1. Go to settings.



2. Go to Privacy and Security and click on Clear Browsing data




3. In here you can select how much you want to delete. Everything or just a few days or months. I would say, clear everything.

Ok, I did that and also deleted some extensions I didn't need and it's greatly improved. I reckon it may be my failing battery also, it's going to be replaced Tuesday. Also I noticed it's only happening on Chrome pages and not on the Edge browser. Thank you kindly Eli1 for your help!

You're welcome.
The battery is not usually related to this type of problem but if you have more display issues there are other things you can do like updating the browser, resetting the browser or even uninstall reinstall of the google chrome browser.

Thx, those are great ideas, everything seems back to 'normal' except I don't know what folder my original icon is. I'm determined to find it though

Open File Explorer
Select This PC or Computer
Open the C: drive
Open the Program Files or Program Files folder

You will find your browsers listed in a folder here; opening that folder gives an update option.

I made this for you. I found the silhouette image (in black), made it white, and applied a gradient overlay so it hopefully looks
more like what you had before. Just drag the image to the address bar to get the url if you wanna use it for your avatar...

If it needs to be centered differently I can do that for you also .

Would you want it different somehow? I can maybe apply other filters
or effects to it if you like. I thought that's what it looked like before...

Someone said it looked like a jelly bean coat, it had jelly bean shaped colors on it. I think if I keep looking I'll find it and if not, we'll create a better one I'm sure, thx again.

A jelly bean coat? Oy! I can apply a pattern filter... is the rainbow gradient okay?

I know the rainbow has been highjacked but it is still a symbol of God's promises .
