I think the difference is, that you believe that speaking in tongues is a gift for all believers which are baptised with the Holy Spirit. And I dont believe that, because there is no scripture support for it. The mentioned verses in Acts 2,8,10 and 19 showed only the jews that the gospel is for all mankind.
And if you take Acts 2 as example then the reality shows that almost all tongue speaking today is different to that what is mentioned in Acts 2 where the people speak a understandable language for the people around.
In Christian traditions, the initial physical evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. This is the ability to speak in a language that the person has not previously learned. It is believed to be a gift from the Holy Spirit that allows the person to communicate with God and others in a way that is not possible with human language.
The Bible records several instances of people speaking in tongues after being baptized in the Holy Spirit. In the book of Acts, on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles and they began to speak in other tongues. This event is seen as the beginning of the Christian church. In another passage, in Acts 19:6, Paul lays his hands on the Ephesian disciples and they receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues.
The gift of tongues is not always the only evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit. Other manifestations of the Spirit can include prophecy, healing, and the ability to cast out demons. However, speaking in tongues is often seen as the primary and most obvious sign that a person has been baptized in the Holy Spirit.
It is important to note that not all Christians believe that speaking in tongues is the initial physical evidence of baptism in the Holy Ghost. Some denominations emphasize other manifestations of the Spirit, such as prophecy or the ability to discern spirits. Ultimately, the question of what constitutes the initial physical evidence of baptism in the Holy Ghost is a matter of theological interpretation.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and
to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
To All Christians for All time until He (Jesus) returns for His Church.
ct 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Not for one instance will you convince me, that such a powerful and profound message of Grace and Truth, such as this Sermon of Peter full of the Holy Ghost, that ALL 3,000 that clearly heard the command of Acts 2:38 and they didn't follow it.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I keep repeating these passages that other may see and know. You keep dismissing the Book of Acts for this subject, I would like to know why?
