I find this fascinating. Does the enemy really know what they are asking for?

Deut. 11:24

Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea.

The recent hatred against Jews and Israel can have only one origin -- Satan and his demons. But this hatred has been bubbling all along. And now the West and all its so-called "liberals" have joined the hate-mongers. But God is still sovereign, and He will show that to Israel's enemies at the right time.

They are calling for Israel to be pushed into the sea. But we know what God promised!

Yes. But perhaps God has brought Israel to this place so that there may be NATIONAL REPENTANCE and a turning to Christ for salvation. As Nineveh repented so can Israel.

You forgot the most important part: the qualifiers...

Just before the verse you quoted is this: For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him— 23 then the Lord will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves."

Furthermore...

"No man shall be able to stand against you..."

Did God mean "except the Romans who sacked Jerusalem"?

No, of course not. The qualifier was not met: "For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him"

Under the Old Covenant with Israel, God place conditions which needed to be met. But as the Bible says His commandments are not grievous. Unfortunately Israel allowed the idolatrous heathen nations to influence it, rather than obey the Word of God.
