so you don't believe in repentance and redemption at all? one strike your out forever?
When one turns away from the Lord and sins, they must forsake their sin and confess their sin to the Lord in order to be in right standing with the Lord once again according to His Word.

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

thawking your thumb with a hammer is not a sin, it's a mistake.

saying a bad word IS actually a sin and one must confess and forsake that sin in order to be cleansed from it.

mistakes are what a lot of people label sins, problem is if you forget it happened a few minutes later, because of and possible hazards and distractions around you. For example, I have slight memory problems, I try to ask forgiveness in my head but I know I've missed a few, sometimes I'll remember something wrong I did a while later but what if I don't. I also try not to do it again obviously. The real point I was making with this post was to pay attention and clean up your act before you cross that line, which I believe exists where the sinner will not repent because they no longer care.

That's thier fault for not studying God's Word for themselves!

That comes when they are taught that they absolutely cannot lose their salvation and they turn away from God altogether and God turns them over to a reprobate mind.

None the less.... Gal 6:7,8 clearly says if we so to the flesh we shall reap corruption and to say otherwise is to mock God according to Gal 6:7,8

So, if one forgets to confess a sin they need to get busy with come prayers of consecration and turn away from any all all known sin in their lives.

.
well, yeah there's also those who become full blown atheists and deny salvation completely.

UH, yeah I think. I suspect if they bother to pray and ask god for guidance periodically, god will point out any sins in question. plus reading the scriptures to gain the knowledge to decided if something is a sin, first step in repenting is knowing something is wrong.

Eternal salvation is a gift from Jesus to the believer the moment they entrust their salvation with Him.

Daily service is the reasonable response to having been given this gift.

Daily service though... Is not tied to eternal life. Eternal life remains thru all ... Daily service waxes and wanes.

A person who falls into sin will be rebuked and disciplined by God...but won't have eternal life taken away. Otherwise what was Jesus sacrifice for them for ? It didn't do enough?

If course there are false converts, but one saved..it's eternal..forever.

See John 5:24 and 6:40, 10:28..

Hebrews 6 isn't about losing eternal life. It's about believers going on to maturity and if they do slip...can't put Christ back on the cross again to pay for their sin...because it is done. The believer has already been renewed to repentance.

Eternal salvation and daily service are not tied together folks

I didn't really start this post to get into whether or not someone can lose salvation. It was mostly as encouragement for people who might think they aren't saved, or they feel they were saved and have lost it, whichever side of the argument you take. If they care enough to be worried about it, they are taking the first step either in salvation of repentance.

who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 timothy 2:4

Unless it's the nation state of Israel who is backed by the Lord Jesus Christ who have been hearing the muzlims say for years and years they are going to murder every Jew on the planet... then the muzlims launch a big surprise attack...

Is real has every right to clan house... and clean house they will!
Just like the Nazis tried to "clean house" with the Jews (and many others)? I'm sure you remember how that ended for the Nazis, and for all those who propagandized that such a plan was justified, including many Nazi-infiltrated churches? Not a good witness, in my view. If that's what you want your legacy to be.

I agree and would add..God looks at the intentions of our hearts over behaviour. He knows we need to see ourselves as new creatures in Christ..the butterfly yet many times we think like and so behave like the caterpillar. There's a point of no return so if getting callous, sarcastic, cynical ask God for a do over..to be broken, humble, childlike with a softened heart..prevents the searing of our conscience ..our guy is where He speaks from if we tune in to listen. And get wounds healed and lies & half truths out.

Many hear this... and decide to continue is sin because all the OSAS peoples keep claiming it's not possible for them to lose their salvation which is false doctrine.

Salvation is only applicable to those that abide IN CHRIST.... according to Jesus (see John 15)

I'm not Jesus so I'm not the One Who has decided that NOBODY will be able to destroy Israel... so this is not "my" legacy rolleyes.gif

The muzlims for centuries have been trying to murder all Jews, so Israel has the God given right to defend their nation.

As such, they must destroy the muzlims ability to make war so there can be peace.

Jimmy, the majority of believers I know who hold to OSAS are consistently faithful. I'm sorry that you have experienced those believers who treat OSAS as a license to sin. I think they are missing the whole point of Jesus' sacrifice for them.

Alrighty then... I guess it's all about you OSAS peoples and you folks have no problem spewing your false doctrine that causes others to stumble.

Many hear the OSAS mantra of "you can never lose your salvation" and they accept that as a license to sin, as changing grace to lawlessness.

Those who the Holy Spirit awaken, He keeps.
So when a Christian sins... it's God's fault for not stopping them?

None of the OSAS believers I know teach a license to sin. In fact knowing salvation is secure propels most to more faithfulness beause they are secure in the confidence in Christ.

Romans 6 is about not using grace as an excuse to sin

Sure they do!

They all go around saying "it's not possible for a Christian to lose their salvation"

This is false doctrine according to God's Word because it is a license to sin. It's greasy grace. It's being a grace changer. It's being a Slick Willie.

You should get better Christian friends to hang out with than those teaching the false doctrines of the OSAS peoples thumbsup2.gif

No..treating it as a license to sin is thinking carnally.

If you were given a gift no strings attached... You wouldn't be thankful?

I wasn't talking about destroying Israel, or even what Israel means in the context of the passages you are twisting. And yes, it is a legacy you are leaving, and not a good one. Repent, therefore.

The muzlims for centuries have been trying to murder all Jews, so Israel has the God given right to defend their nation.
This is more a lie than saying "for centuries the Jews have been trying to murder all Christians". Both statements are partly true, but also significantly false. Some Jews, and some Muslims. And to be honest, many who call themselves Christians have been sharing in the carnage also. These days, those types of Christians seem to prefer to cheerlead the carnage from the sidelines, though.

As such, they must destroy the muzlims ability to make war so there can be peace.
That's not the gospel message. The state of Israel is murdering people ("destroying their ability to make war"), including Christians, and you are justifying their carnage. Be careful who you follow.
