& now, still funnier. my older brother who was declared a genius by his teachers, said the same thing to mom about age 10. instead of " can i do...........". my bother's correction was, " may i.........". supplemental: when in high school, my older brother could have been the biggest drinker & pot smoker in his class, never studied, but still scored 95's to 100's on tests all the time. i would study for 2 hours & score only an 80 or 90!

I had to laugh even harder at this because the same day I saw this, about an hour later (without having seen this) my kids had this exact conversation :LOL: (one of my boys is super, super intelligent. His sense of humor is very funny - if you understand all the smarties stuff he draws it from)
10 yr old (yelling down the hall) "MOM! CAN I GO OUTSIDE!?"
13 yr old (correcting his younger brother) CAN you? Are you capable of doing that? Why don't you go ask mom if you MAY go outside now, and maybe she will say ' yes', but I don't know if you CAN. CAN you go ask mom? Are you capable of asking mom? I don't think you CAN.. I think you're just going to run outside without even asking if you MAY go out to play. You really should go ask mom if you MAY go outsiiii..."
Me (getting somewhat annoyed but trying not to laugh) "GET OUT OUT OF HERE YOU TWO!"
I love that conversation! 😆

My eldest is 19. When she was either 4 or 5 she spent the night at her friend's house. My daughter is not a morning person but her friend was one of those chipper early birds.
Friend, when my daughter finally wakes up: "You wakeded up!"
My daughter groggily responds, "It's woke. Woke is the past tense of wake"

Daughter now corrects MY grammar (and has for quite a few years) 😆

You made the fatal mistake of teaching them everything you know.

If he is smoking weed than I would be highly suspicious of his grades. I dont know any pot heads with a high IQ, all the people I know who use weed are cruel , evil, wicked, liars and thieves.

maybe it's territorial about the people you know. everyone in the area knew my brother as very intelligent. there was a "quicky quiz" show on WCSS radio & they actually cancelled the show because we we're always calling in with the correct answer. also, in my brother's high school classes, there were a huge amount of smart people. a bunch of them partying hard but were all accountable, reliable & responsible. he became a successful banker & is retired.

Interesting. My mother in law used weed while she had cancer and after, while she was in remission, before she died. She was an intelligent, sweet, giving, selfless, woman who loved Jesus more than anything.

Even Noah lost his patience lol
When I get frustrated and I’m losing patience I like to laugh at myself as well as I cry…

Maybe that was the problem, your always calling in with the correct answer. perhaps people go the wrong idea and assumed it was rigged, or you were some how cheating. That might be why they cancelled it. Funny, my brother smokes weed and he is walking around as a girl.

Sorry to hear about your mothers passing. My condolances, I had at least 3 relatives pass away from canacer and I dont recall any of them using weed at any point in time.

my mom was very big on teaching education. she had us reading & studying a variety of subjects. she found out the show was cancelled because we answered almost every question so radio station thought it was beginning to be stale. no cheating involved. btw, there a lot of heavy pot smokers around here who are intelligent, have high paying jobs & are, as i said before, responsible people.

Apparently it can be beneficial for pain relief during chemo. Though she used it while in remission, too, so it may have become habit at that point. 🤷‍♀️

When the CBD and THC are separated and a person uses only the CBD part, they can get pain relief without getting high.

Either way, I see it as a plant that God gave us, probably for pain relief (also can help with seizures), but mankind has abused it.

funny thing is that I was doing a project in Canadian Tourism Destinations today and we have an assignment on prairie provinces and one of the parks we had to look up, currently has a multiple wild fire warning on the parks website lol. I get that, ok.

Yeah I have seen a lot of the articles published on marijuana, and I believe the evidence shows that the long term harm far out weighs the short term benifits.

For CBD? Or for full-on Marijuana?
