Can we "judge" ourselves worthy before God?
1. We CANNOT judge ourselves worthy in the sense we MAKE OURSELVES WORTHY.
2. We CAN judge ourselves worthy in the sense we can DISCERN WHAT SCRIPTURE SAYS ABOUT US.
So it all depends on what you mean.
Like many threads on CC, when the opening post is not clear, it's hard to give an answer that is clear.

The very fact you find this post to be not clear is in a round-about way an answer to my question.
Depends entirely on your viewpoint. If it is outside of Christ, we are unworthy. If we are in Christ, then we are exactly what God says that we are. The NT declares that we are new creations in Christ, that we are righteous in Christ, that we are acceptable in Christ and that we are justified and even glorified.
There is a place that we need to come to where we see that we are truly wretched with no hope in ourseves. But to stay there is destructive and to belittle the incredible salvation that Lord Jesus bought for us by His death and resurrection. Romans 7 is followed by Romans 8.
He gave the correct answer. He wasn't confused by the question. He merely answered it from 2 different perspectives. I would have answered the same way, just not as intelligibly.
I meant it exactly as I posted; He is the only one in this topic who doesn't understand the meaning of what I posted.
The very fact you can respond to my post, and yet avoid discussing any of my points or the stated topic itself, is probably an indication you still aren't sure what your opening post is trying to say.
Right off the bat I can think of at least 5-6 different points you might have intended with the OP, and it's impossible to know what you actually meant unless you can clarify.
If you have some clear and specific question, you should ask it.
Otherwise, trying to answer an ill-defined question is just an exercise in futility for everyone.
Maybe you were just bored and wanted to get everyone talking about nothing?

If it's not a confusing question, why have so many given answers that don't actually answer the question or others giving a conditional response?
He's been here a week, and seems he joined primarily to argue politics.
He also seems to be very anti-Israel, which makes me wonder if he came here to support Hamas.

I think it is just a reality that we judge others easily, but ourselves poorly. I don't think it's a lack of desire as much as a lack of spiritual maturity.
If one believes Jesus and trusts that His Atonement makes them worthy before God then yeah a Christian can say i have been made worthy before God through the LORD Jesus..
