That was the remnant, though? A remnant will come to know Christ
That is correct. A remnant from worldwide Jewry. But what we need to keep in mind is that Jerusalem and Palestine will feature in that redemption and restoration. Only believing Jews will be saved at that time.

Israel is putting most of their army around Gaza. We will have 2 aircraft carriers off their coast. So much fire power in a close place. I hope we see a miracle happen. Fire from heaven? Maybe?
God is not doing this.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

As we listen to the war in Israel, please join me in praying for all involved.

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray that you will be with the hearts of all involved. That you will draw people to you at this time. Please guide the leaders in making the decisions. Please protect the innocent.

We pray for The Gideon Ministry in the Middle East. Please protect and guide Gideons and Auxiliary members in that area to share your love with those in need.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Serving The Lord with You,
Amen, amen and Amen.
How very few mention prayer in this dreadful situation. God is watching and prayer is vital.

God is not doing this.
They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty
Revelation 16:14

GOD does gather armies together.

I agree with this, but then don't see why Christians seek to justify the clearly evil practices of the Israeli government at every turn. Sure some Jews will be saved at the end, but Jesus also promises that many who claim to be Jews, but are not, will come and fall at the feet of His followers, and confess that Jesus loved those Christians. By their fruits, I'd suggest many of those in power in Israel today are clearly following the desires of their father, the devil.

Islam has plenty of its own evils (and is obviously a damnable religion) also, but I think most Christians are fairly wise to this, on the Palestinian side of the conflict.

Yes, there is truth to this, I do not disagree with your views entirely.

Yet people have the choice and it is people doing all this, not God or the Devil.

There is only one way to justify anyone on Earth whether it is the Israelis or the Arabs and that is the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Many Christians confuse the fact that the Jews have been chosen and the Lord has Chosen to put His name in Jerusalem with them being justified and sanctified. They have not yet been justified nor sanctified, but they will shortly turn to Jesus for salvation.

I also agree. Everything that the Israeli government does is not totally righteous. By the same token Israel has allowed Arabs to live within Palestine, and also allowed Arabs to come and go through their borders in order to work in Israel. Israel is a democracy, whereas the Palestinians have never had the freedom to choose their leaders. But the bottom line is self-defense. Since all the Arabs and Muslims had vowed to destroy Israel, it was left with only one option -- defend yourself or be exterminated. What happened recently was an attempt at extermination, and it is partly the fault if Israel Defense Forces and their intelligence. As one of their former commanders said, over-confidence in their own abilities and under-estimation of the enemy. So now they are having to rectify this.

Not true

It is happening today. Just look at the past century
Under the Pax Romana there was there was hegemonial power and stability.

This century and past centuries have been filled with wars therefore this prophecy only makes sense for time under the Pax Romana

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ a spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. Matthew 24:15-20

There is no way this happened in the past.

The confusion comes in because Jesus was talking to the disciples and some of Chapter 24 is directed towards them, some refers to the destruction of the temple in 70Ad and some refers to the end of the age.

However, when talking about the end of the age Jesus makes it clear that the destruction of the temple directly corresponds to what we will see at the end of the age.

If Matthew 24 were the only chapter in the Bible on this topic it might give them more justification for that doctrine, but when you include what Paul said and what the book of Revelation says it really is absurd.

However, most have a superficial understanding of this chapter and so it is easy to show them that some of it is directly talking about the apostles and what would happen to them and that is how you push this teaching.

Well, it did. And it was horrific. You should read what Josephus wrote about it.

Except the civilians that move in arent returning from refuge, because they are impoverished. They are talmudist and arabs have been permenantly displaced. Becaisebit has happened before and its happening again. Ya see we learn from history.
