fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings

Isaiah 51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Do you remember the reproach we got for not getting the vaccine? What happened to those people? How about the reproach to MAGA, or the reproach concerning election integrity? What about the reproach concerning the wall?

Is the Sixth seal opened at the Feast of Trumpets

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

I believe the Sixth seal being opened is a reference to the rapture. I cannot think of any other event that would conclusively tell all the world's leaders and unbelievers that this is the great day of the Lamb.

But look at verses 15-17, this is a great day in the Bible, surely we had some dress rehearsals. So then what great feast day would this be? It can't be Atonement because they are saying that day is come, they are hiding from the coming judgement. In fact what this reminds us of is Adam and Even hiding from God in the garden. It seems to me that this is a reference to feast of trumpets.

A False Balance

11 A false balance and unrighteous dealings are extremely offensive and shamefully sinful to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.

There has been a big debate over the calendar. Tishri and the Feast of Trumpets is supposed to be when the moon rises in Libra, the scales. But there are verses that indicate the calendar has been corrupted. Therefore it may be that Libra is now the "false scales". The scales indicate the scales of justice, and today we can surely see false scales of justice. Therefore the Month of Tishri might be off a month and it could be this weekend that we have the Feast of Trumpets.

2 When swelling and pride come, then emptiness and shame come also, but with the humble (those who are lowly, who have been pruned or chiseled by trial, and renounce self) are skillful and godly Wisdom and soundness.

I have wondered what we will see at the time of the rapture and this is it. We will see swelling and pride and emptiness and shame. Meanwhile with the humble, the skillful, the godly we will see wisdom and soundness.

3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the willful contrariness and crookedness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

This is a time when we have really needed guidance. The Pandemic, the vaccine mandate, the political choices, in every way the we needed to be guided. Some are being guided by the integrity of the upright and some are being guided by willful contrariness and crookedness of the treacherous.

4 Riches provide no security in any day of wrath and judgment, but righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) delivers from death.

There are those who thought to be blessed was to have earthly riches. But that will be of no help when the tribulation comes. The only thing that will deliver is right standing with God, the blood of Jesus.

5 The righteousness of the blameless shall rectify and make plain their way and keep it straight, but the wicked shall fall by their own wickedness.

There are many who follow the Lord and have seen signs of His coming, but it is those who are in Christ that will keep their path straight, meanwhile the wicked will be exposed and shall fall by their wickedness.

6 The righteousness of the upright [their rectitude in every area and relation] shall deliver them, but the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity and greedy desire.

The treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity and greedy desire. This is like a fishing lure. They will try and take something that isn't theirs, and that greedy desire and treachery will snare them.

There is a fascinating story in the Jewish calendar. April 2nd is the start of the new year. April 15th is Passover where all the believers got saved. April 16th - you clean your house out of all leaven, that is not "sin" but rather the customs of the world. For example a TV could be a source of leaven that you toss out. April 18th you get firstfruits -- it isn't a full harvest but it is a kind of foretaste of reaping the fruit of righteousness. This is how the year begins, it looks like how the Christian life begins bringing us out of the slavery of sin into the good land and making a nation out of us who used to be slaves of sin. But then how does the year end? Purim. March 17th, two weeks before the start of the New year we kick out Haman, a type of the Satanic rule of this world. The whole world lies in the evil one but we, as believers have grown in grace and have been praying that the Lord's kingdom would come on Earth as it is in heaven.

22 and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

1Thessalonians 2:3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

These are three ways that the apostates use.

Deceit -- straying from the orthodoxy. Seeking out some new doctrine, some new discovery that will give them a monopoly. This is what makes a cult leader, he has the "vision" or the "revelation".

Uncleanness -- refers to impure motive. The motive is to make merchandise of you or to build their own kingdom.

Guile -- crafty, wily, subtle. They operate like a snake. If you were to pull all their writings you would not be able to make a case against them. What you would discover is the things they told you in confidence never made it into print.

4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

The War in Israel

Lord Jesus we lift up the situation in Israel, and in Gaza, and in this war. Lord Jesus, Keep not silence, hold not Your peace or be still, O God. For, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads. They lay crafty schemes against Your people and consult together against Your hidden and precious ones. They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be in remembrance no more. For they have consulted together with one accord and one heart; against You they make a covenant—

Do to them as [You did to] them on the six day war, or on the Yom Kippur War. They say, Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God. O Lord Jesus, make them like whirling dust, like stubble or chaff before the wind! As fire consumes the forest, and as the flame sets the mountains ablaze, So pursue and afflict them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your tornado or hurricane. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek, inquire for, and insistently require the name of Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of kings. Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish, That they may know that You, Whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.

Developing Discernment

5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know,

Flattering words is not the same as being respectful. You don't need to become overly sensitive so compliments, but you can tell when someone is trying to flatter you, especially if they are saying things that are either not true or that indicate they don't know what they are talking about. Flattery should kick off an inward alarm that something is not right with this person. Notice Paul says "not at any time". He never used flattery, there is no good reason for a man of God to be using flattery.

Definition of Flattery -- excessive and insincere praise, given especially to further one's own interests.

nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:

If you ever detect that a minister of God is covetous and is using a cloke of covetousness, that is also something that should raise off a very serious inward alarm. The word cloke can refer to a pretense, Jesus used this word when He said the hypocrites devoured widows houses and for a pretense made long prayers. It was also used when the shipmen tried to flee the ship that Paul was on and were pretending to cast out anchors.

6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

There are people who seek glory of others, it is very important how you introduce them, or where they sit, or who bows to them, etc. This is very shabby and indicative of someone who is truly quite fleshly. If I see someone using flattery I avoid them, they cannot be trusted. If they are using a cloke of covetousness I don't want anything to do with them, they will contaminate everything they touch, just like Gehazi. If someone is seeking out glory of others I will pray for them but won't expect to get anything of spiritual value from them as at best they are like a cake that has not been cooked yet.

Forbidding us to speak

15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

We were forbidden to speak about Covid or election integrity. Notice the connection here, first they kill the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and persecute the believers, then they forbid to speak. When someone forbids you to speak it is a strong indication of criminal behavior.

For example, after 9/11 the steel was kept under guard by the US military and the forensic investigators were not allowed to look at it, they then sent it to China to be melted down. That was an indication of a coverup of a crime.

You know the apostles are appointed unto afflictions

1Thessalonians 3:3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

The apostles were appointed unto afflictions as a way to confirm their testimony. People will lie in order to make money or some other covetous reason. But why would people lie if it meant being put to death?
