if by resolved you mean happily ever after, no. our daughter is still living in rebellion to the Almighty, and doesn't contact us. it has been nearly fifteen years. i cry as i type this. i tell you that so you know there's another mom out there who knows how painful it is.
i also know just how strong the Lord is on behalf of His people. i know i can run to Jesus with my tears and sense of loss, and He will comfort me. He made me know i was making an idol of my child; His correction was so gentle.
even good things can be idols. any time a good thing becomes an ultimate thing, we can know it has taken the place that is rightfully only God's.
so if by resolved you mean have i (mostly) learned to leave the situation with God and trust Him with it and with our daughter, then yes. i do still occasionally have to go to the mirror and give myself a stern talking-to. i tell that woman in the glass, "God loves you, and He knows what He's doing!" i'm a dummy, but i belong to The Most Wise, so it'll be all right.
i wish i could make us a pot of tea, and get out a fresh box of tissues, and hug you and listen to you. i've followed your threads about your child since you joined. i won't forget you, little sister. when i pray for my daughter, it reminds me to pray for yours. may the Lord bless you.
