Let's start at the beginning, when God gave the land, more land than the Jews now have, to Abraham. God made an unconditional and everlasting covenant with Abraham. So that land belongs to no one else from a Biblical view. From a historical worldview Israel has a 1000 yr history in the land. Palestinians do not. The Arabs were offered land in 48 and turned it down. They have been offered land four times and turned it down every time. There is no "Palestinian" people. That is a term that was made up for political purposes. Israel sits on 1% in the ME and they STILL are willing to give land for peace and have done so in the past. Yet nothing they offer has been enough. Every time the "Palestinians" have turned it down.

Did You Know? ... the March 31, 1977, Dutch newspaper Trouw, published an interview with the Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member, Zahir Muhsein. In the interview he said: “The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the State of Israel for our Arab unity.
“Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we (suggest) the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism.”

I understand that you believe what you write... but I just think differently.
I was talking about the more recent history of the land, so was the person who posted the item which you commented on - therefore, so were you (talking about recent events). Now you include OT/ancient history.
I also know that many Christians equally confuse the two time periods.

The thing that I don't get is that you seem to be suggesting that the Romans had no right to kick the Jews out back in 70 AD. That God wasn't part of the destruction of Jerusalem. I think that He had a very active part in the Jews downfall and that Jesus predicted it - as well as OT writer(s). You also seem to believe that after the Jews were kicked out, nobody should have lived there and left it unoccupied until the Jews returned... is that what you believe? Or maybe that others could occupy it with the condition that they would leave immediately when the Jews returned... just keep the land prosperous and in order for the Jews?

Or is it because you have no reply? Regardless of everything else, there is no question that the Muslim world decided to eliminate Israel and exterminate all the Jews. And that is the root cause of this conflict. The Koran says that Christians and Jews are bound for Hell. Then the Islamists have come along and declared that they will establish a Muslim Caliphate worldwide and forcibly convert others yo Islam or else. But what we see of the Islamists is that they are the ones bound for Hell.

Getting back to the horrific attack by Hamas a few days ago, the Israeli Defense Forces have admitted that they failed to do their job. Indeed the government of Israel failed to do its job. So now they are trying to rectify their own negligence.
I am not defending Hamas or any act of terrorism.

However no one wants to recognize Irgun and other Jewish terrorist groups.

This not an asymmetrical war, both parties are guilty of atrocities.

April 9, 1948, when around 130[1] fighters from the Zionist paramilitary groups Irgun and Lehi killed at least 107 Palestinian Arab villagers, including women and children, in Deir Yassin, a village of roughly 600 people near Jerusalem, despite having earlier agreed to a peace pact.

Maybe actually take a deep dive and read the accounts by Jewish people who have denounced the acts of fellow Jews.
Not all Jews support Zionism.

Then God was lying to Abraham when He made the land promise. If He will lie about one thing then we can't trust Him when He said we are grafted in.

The Ottoman empire lost the war, they lost the land, which they had taken in the first place. The Brits divided the land and gave Israel a sliver of land and Arabs the biggest piece, and they refused it! And they have continued to refuse land for peace.

The last comment has been debunked yet every few decades it comes back around again. It's simply false.
God fulfilled the promises, there is neither Jew nor Gentile

But the "dispie" interpretation does not allow for its adherent to see it, otherwise the world could have had some measure of peace but no we have Darby and Herzel to thank for ongoing blood shed.

It is truly tragic.

And no it is not false, the DNA evidence it is pretty firm 2018 was the last study and its data was strong.

Believe as you will, I know dispensationalists are too far entrenched in their false futurist eschatology it is essentially pointless to continue.

"This generation" passed a long time ago.

It's ok, we're kind of talking it all out. Smoke is also part in this. We don't have to get keyed up. lol I have read a lot on this topic and studied a long time before this has all broken out. I will try to give the info I have read either from memory or actual articles if I can find them. There was one site I read so much on but for the life of me, I can't find it.

The following is from the site you shared and it is a lot of what my understanding has been in my research.

MYTH

The Jews have no claim to the land they call Israel.

FACT

A common misperception is that all the Jews were forced into the Diaspora by the Romans after the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in the year 70 C.E. then, 1,800 years later, the Jews suddenly returned to Palestine demanding their country back. In reality, the Jewish people have maintained ties to their historic homeland for more than 3,700 years. ( my bad, I said 1000 yrs)

The Jewish people base their claim to the Land of Israel on at least four premises: 1) the Jewish people settled and developed the land, 2) the international community granted political sovereignty in Palestine to the Jewish people, 3) the territory was captured in defensive wars, and 4) God promised the land to the patriarch Abraham.

Even after the Second Temple’s destruction and the exile’s beginning, Jewish life in the Land of Israel continued and often flourished. Large communities were reestablished in Jerusalem and Tiberias by the 9th century. In the 11th century, Jewish communities grew in Rafah, Gaza, Ashkelon, Jaffa, and Caesarea. The Crusaders massacred many Jews during the 12th century, but the community rebounded in the next two centuries as many rabbis and Jewish pilgrims immigrated to Jerusalem and the Galilee. Prominent rabbis established communities in Safed, Jerusalem, and elsewhere during the following 300 years.

By the early 19th century—years before the birth of the modern Zionist movement—more than 10,000 Jews lived throughout what is today Israel.1 The 78 years of nation-building, beginning in 1870, culminated in the reestablishment of the Jewish State.

Israel’s international “birth certificate” was validated by the promise of the Bible; uninterrupted Jewish settlement from the time of Joshua onward; the Balfour Declaration of 1917; the League of Nations Mandate, which incorporated the Balfour Declaration; the United Nations partition resolution of 1947; Israel’s admission to the U.N. in 1949; the recognition of Israel by most other states; and—most of all—the society created by Israel’s people in decades of thriving, dynamic national existence.

So my jumping off point with Christians is that God made an everlasting, unconditional covenant with Abraham. He made other promises, but He made a land promise, a promise which has to this date not yet been fulfilled. But it will be. Now yes, there were times that the Jews lost use of the land, but they have never lost the deed. That land is promised to the Jews. Either that, or God is a liar. I choose to believe the first one. ;) In 48, Israel became the nation "that was born in a day" that the Bible speaks of. This began God's prophetic time clock. So here is the foundation for what I am saying. But there are historical and Biblical reasons the land belongs to the Jews.

As I said, Israel has never had possession of the entire land promise. Neither Jew or Gentile is speaking about salvation. Either God keeps His promises or He doesn't. It's that simple. It can't be explained away, He keeps a promise or He doesn't. All kinds of DNA testing has been done and none of it proves the theory. I have not seen that anywhere.

Irgun is ancient history. What we need to look at is Israel's more recent attempts for a peaceful negotiated settlement, all of which were rejected by the Palestinian leaders.

The biggest mistake Israel made after the Six Day War was to hand back the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to the Palestinians. That was the time when Israel should have asked all the Arab nations to totally relocate all the Sunni Palestinians to a new homeland in Saudi Arabia. There are vast areas of uninhabited land in that country and Saudi Arabia plus all the other Muslim countries which came against Israel could have easily funded a total relocation and provided a good alternative to what they have in Palestine itself. Instead they all allowed the Palestinians to become refugees or crowd into Jordan.

Israel has had history of being a naughty nation turning to idols and not searching for God. You know back in the day idolatry was very rampant and that got God's attention but he said, "I've had enough with you" but because they don't seek God. Jeremiah the prophet experienced sorrow for this nation.

Israel gives more than 1.1 million people 24 hours to get out of Northern Gaza.

They say America must be ready to fight a war simultaneously with Russia, and China.

This is all a bunch of garbage for the nations are actually working together which controlled conflict brings about controlled change.

After WW1, League of Nations.

After WW2, United Nations.

And now it is time for a one world government that will be a balance between democracy and communism.

North Korea, China, Russia, and America are all working together as well as all the nations.

It is time to produce the New Age Christ which the nations will want the fighting to stop in Israel, and they will start harmonizing together and say they want peace for the nations governments are together, and they want to convince the people of the world to cooperate with each other for peace.

They want to make it look like everything is happening by coincidence but it is all a plan.

ANYWAY, this goes to anybody and everybody: Who do you think will win this current war between Israel and Hamas?

🍉
I read a convincing article that stated the Israeli government will back down, because even the US won't be able to support Israel enough in a regional war (with all the other countries involved). But only after a week or two - after its had ample opportunity to conduct revenge bombing on Palestine, sadly (I've nothing against killing terrorists, but murdering civilians is an evil I won't support).

Hopefully after this (in the months or years to come), the corrupt government in Israel (who allowed and possibly planned for this event to happen) and others complicit around the world will be exposed, and maybe later held to account for their crimes against humanity.

It was just a metaphor.
Yeah, I know. Just didn't like the reference to King David doing something dirty, when he was a hero. (If anyone was into something like collecting foreskins, it was King Saul!)

I think it will all be over in about seven years, at least I expect to see a long period of a thousand years of peace.

David went and got them for his own ends. David isn't any different than you or I. God just used him differently.

Professor Finklestein whose parents were Aushwitz survivors, a man with a brilliant mind, who has seen through the lies since the end of WW I was denied tenure at Du Paul University for speaking this truth to power.

As a Jew he knows the difference and voices like his have been stomped out.
