I understand that. That is what the translations say. But the Greek says God was the Word.
What's the difference? God was the Word, the Word was God? So what?
How does that translate into the WORD not being God in your mind?


The WORD which took on flesh to walk this world, the WORD known as Jesus.

John 1:1 TR - Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and God was the word.
