Is there a difference between being saved and salvation, and the new covenant?

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by "sanctified" in this case (like most words, sanctified has more than one meaning, even in the Bible). Thanks! I ask because having a mutual understanding of the terminology that we're using is (obviously) extremely important to discussions like this one, especially in a format like this one.

I don't know what the new covenant is. I would read Jeremiah 31:31-34.

There you go. Since the New Covenant is embedded in the New Testament (which could also be called "the New Covenant") you have already shot yourself in the foot. So now you can either decide to learn from other Christians, or remain willfully ignorant.

17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. Yes, he is a Gentile. You are correct that he was not with Jesus.
