Well, I just want to post to say that I listened to conservative pundit Steve Bannon, as ZNP suggested. I listened to an hour long podcast of his Warroom program.

I certainly learned a few things. One, the government is settled into spending $7 trillion for every $5 trillion it receives in taxes. Two, the Republicans are able to write a law requiring businesses to E-Verify, which would pretty much end illegal immigration in one fell swoop. Also, that all the politicians except Romney are completely sold out to greed and that this country is doomed.

Although I agree with the conservative ideals of "demonetizing the woke and weaponized department of justice," a phrase continually repeated in the broadcast, as well as halting the woke agenda in the department of education, I think that the style of talk radio that has Republicans in the mindset of fighting a war against the progressives is tearing the conservative right apart morally, due to its emphasis on conflict instead of compromise. The conservatives are acting like warring peoples, making internal alliances and cutting down others and largely flocking to what Bannon called the "uniparty" of the George W. Bush / Donald Trump / Democrat crowd, apparently defaulting on their conservative values. To my disappointment, the end of the program ended with a glowing endorsement of a woman endorsing a campaign fundraising meeting between DeSantis and several oil tycoons in Texas. With the biggest candidates in the Republican party selling their souls for money, for sure we are doomed.

Here's what I think will solve all our nation's problems.

On the issue of E-Verify, I know from people I know in my personal life that the sudden revelation of all the illegal immigrants in the country would have seismic implications for American businesses dependent on cheap, industrious labor. It all boils down to an inherent problem in the privilege of American citizens who don't want to work hard, and who live comfortably on the backs of an illegal work force. It's the same problem as slavery was: convenience and greed making us compromise the values we know in our hearts are right. And remember, slavery didn't end because people gave up their greed and convenience. Slavery ended because northerners who didn't have slaves forced the southerners to give it up. So neither side actually ever repented of the heart issues. Instead they just killed tens of millions of Americans to resolve the issue, proving that people will rather shed a massive amount of blood than give up convenience and greed.

So Republicans can cry about the border all they want, but the one hard decision to resolve the border crisis is to sign E-Verify into law, either before, after, or in conjunction with granting universal amnesty to all the illegal immigrants, or else the American public will have to send our precious indentured workforce out of the country, which would destroy countless personal relationships and cause a seismic employment crisis requiring entitled young people to work as hard as hispanics do. That scale of deportation would be impossible in my opinion, so I really think the best way to maintain the status quo as much as possible is to take the drastic steps as immediately as possible. Once the crisis of illegal employment is resolved, then it will be easy to secure the border. I think, realistically speaking, Republicans who don't have what it takes to accept the fact that amnesty and E-Verify together are the only way to stop immigration are hypocrits. And the sooner the problem is dealt with the sooner the Left will stop accusing us of being white supremacists. Because all feelings of racism aside, it is truly racist to live in wealth at the expense of the quality of life of another race of people. It's not feelings that matter; it's actions. You can say you love hispanic people all you want but if you live at their expense in any way, that's wrong. It's as wrong as slavery. And the Right accuses the Left of subjugating black people by keeping them on welfare for their votes, but truly the conservatives who don't E-Verify their employees are just as guilty.

The real way to end illegal immigration is to use our miitary to end cartel control of central america and then set a general over them to stablelize them afterward just as we did in Japan after ww2. (which is a better use of our military than forever wars in the middle east and eastern europe) Establish infrastructure building trade with central america like importing copper and other natural resourses. Then use e-verify for jobs and housing and loans of anykind. With no jobs ir housing or way of purchasing vehicles and good viable jobs back home they will self deport. We could even help them to deport by providing bussing and flights.
To get people young men into the trades promote trade jobs in school and stop fund useless garbage in college. A 3 tier education system where at level 1 you are prepared for the trades level 2 you are prepared for admin jobs like accounting and similar, and level 3 for engineers and doctors and and such. Base the tier system on performance through say age 13.
Also the trades would be good viable jobs if govco would stop destroying the economy with bloated over spending, and massive debt, and over regulation.

After reading the Wikipedia article on Bannon a few times over, I can see that the negative words and actions against him expressed in the article might all in their entirety be the products of political persecution. Although allegations were made, I didn't see anything definitively substantive, which tells me he is worth looking into further. So I can look into that.

I also recognize that a lot of righteous people get nailed for doing nothing wrong. It is hard to believe unless you've witnessed it, but I have witnessed it in my life, and I know it's real.

I am quite aware of the left vilifying everyone conservative at this point.

However, on the other topic, I am quite certain that COVID vaccines are 100% beneficial and 0% harmful, and masks never caused anyone psychological or physical harm. Some issues are political, but this is just plain medical. Trump and Pence were going to endorse vaccines if they had remained in office. I remember Pence saying so. His exact words I saw him say on TV were, "They took a page right out of our playbook." I think it would benefit conservatives to swallow their pride and take the vaccine.

We have threads that talk about Covid and the vaccine, you should bring your certainty to those threads because at this point people still defending the vaccine after the expose on Pfizer's own research, well they are few and far between.

I for one look forward to you joining the discussion in the threads on Covid because at this point all those who used to hold this position have gone silent.

I have not taken the vaccine and chose to resign my job and sell my house rather than get the vaccine. At the time I had no proof the vaccine was bad (not like today) but I did know that Fauci was lying and I did know that they were violating the law in mandating it, and I did know that HCQ was proven to be effective and safe and yet they were attacking it and the only reason I could see was to clear the way to mandate the vaccine (it is illegal to mandate an experimental vaccine if you have an effective treatment).

I am a science teacher, I worked in NYC and to get the job you had to have all your shots which I did. I was not and never was "anti vaxx". However as a science teacher I knew that much of the people who were pushing this were either liars or willfully ignorant. These were the things I did know when I made my decision.

1. They said that this was like the smallpox vaccine or polio vaccine. OK, both of those vaccines took 50 years to develop and prior to getting an approved one we had a number of ones that were touted as "safe and effective" until it was clear they weren't.

2. Fauci said that "to question him was to question science" one of the stupidest things I as a science teacher had ever heard. Tell that to Galileo. For example when I was in HS some nut was claiming the dinosaurs were wiped out by a meteor hitting the earth. They accused him of being some religious nut because everyone knew "the present is the key to the past". However, that nut and others kept finding more and more evidence until one day it was "oh yeah, everyone knows that". There is no period of public apologies and confessions by all the scientists that mocked, ridiculed and vilified the theory. One day you are a religious nut, the next day everyone knew that.

3. You don't have to force a wonder cure on the world with illegal mandates. That smelled rotten. If you take an experimental vaccine (which is what it was) you have waived all your rights. In return they are supposed to reveal all the research on the vaccine and the results. Instead people got big giant pieces of blank paper with their vaccine. That is illegal.

4. If the vaccine protects you then why are you scared of people who are not vaccinated? I had already had Covid, that meant I had better immunity than the vaccine, and the proof was that Taiwan and Vietnam which had been hit hard by SARS ten years earlier were virtually unscathed by Covid, so we knew there was immunity.

5. Young people in public school and their teachers fared the best when looked at as a subset of the population. That was proof that they picked up immunity by being exposed to similar bugs. Public schools are a hotbed of every germ going around. Teachers and children give their immune systems a workout each year. That proved that there was immunity conferred if you had been exposed to previous bugs and it should have been sufficient to tell them they didn't need to mandate a vaccine for schools.

6. DeBlasio waited until the deadline for teachers to transfer had passed before announcing his mandate in August, and within 24 hours I went to the Union to begin the process for retirement and they said they would not help me until the mandate was law at the end of October. At the time of the mandate the Union told us half the teachers were not vaccinated. Therefore if the union had simply stood strong and rejected the mandate they would have been forced to teach school without it. But the Union behaved deceitfully to the members.

So it was clear to me that those who were pushing this thing were behaving deceitfully. They were lying and the way in which they were coercing people was illegal.

3. Would charges of rape and pedophilia be something you would agree to impeach him over so that he could stand trial and have his day in court?

4. How about evidence that he and his family have received more than $20 million from foreign countries to influence policy?

5. How about a repeat of the 2020 election with mail in ballots and stolen elections, vaccine mandates, mask mandates and all that?

6. Would weaponizing the DOJ against political opponents be a red line for you?

What I don't understand is all of these things appeared to be hard and fast red lines when Trump was president. The Mueller investigation was all about the idea that Russia helped him steal the election, he closed the investigation without any indictments of Trump. But why wouldn't all the evidence of China helping Biden steal the election receive the same response? Trump was impeached over allegations that his inquiry into what happened in Ukraine was election interference, but now that we know that investigation was justified why are we not impeaching Joe Biden? People were screaming that Trump was a fascist, but now that we know that Joe Biden is a fascist, why have they gone silent? People were outraged at an ugly joke that Trump made about being abusive to women, so why are the confirmed allegations of rape and pedophilia and domestic abuse against Joe Biden receiving even more furor? People were terrified that some irresponsible 2am tweet would get us into a war with Russia, but now we have 3pm speeches by Joe Biden that are far more inflammatory. There's nothing wrong with their intelligence. Maybe you just need to look a little closer. Like why were the liquor barns open and the churches closed? Why were people like my mother, a cancer patient at the time, having to wait to see if their surgeries would be moved or even cancelled but the abortion clinics were in full swing? Why were people singing outside and socially distanced having a church meeting arrested, but BLM spitting in cops faces were not? Why was I not allowed to get my hair cut or eat at a restaurant or take a flight but the politicians did whatever they wanted?! One was even caught on mic laughing about how they were going to put their mask on as soon as cameras rolled. So maybe we're not stupid, we're just observant and know gov't overreach when we see it. Most of the "rules" they put in place had no basis in fact. It didn't take long for intelligent people to figure that out. And watch and see if we don't magically have another COVID panic before the next election.

Well I don't kick against the rocks usually. I love and respect my Canadian brothers and sisters here. But I lived in Canada, I was born and raised there. Both countries have their flaws, so let's put that out there first. Canada has some socialism, and it is not a help to the country. Healthcare is not free, high taxes make up for what is called "free". Since I have left home things have gotten worse. I have family and friends from one end of the country to the other. I have seen them on Facebook talking about the hours they have waited in emergency to get seen to. And I'm not talking about a couple hours. I'm talking about a days wait. To get a specialist is months to wait. I can tell story after story of my family suffering at the hands of free health care. Not saying the US is perfect, but a lot of Canadians have to go stateside to get certain treatments.
Canada doesn't have free speech, they have limited speech, which really isn't free is it? And the limited speech they have now is being taken from them. They don't have the right to bare arms. They don't have the electoral college. So the big cities dictate who will win office. Socialism is just Communism with the gloves on. It's never worked anywhere it has been tried and the bit that Canada has is no help to them and only brings the country down.
