sometimes "man" referes to people irrespective of gender but when a female gender is used, it means a female - and in type always or almost always a religious institution or a nation.
but that said, as i said previously while i do see scripture as implying allegorical interpretation, that never sets aside the literal also being true unless we are specifically told we are reading an account of a vision or dream etc in which none of it is understood to be historical events.
so daughters of men literally means daughters, historically as fact, and it is also an allegory of nations and religions, in my view.
