Post five videos of "karens" screaming at people wearing masks and I'll show you 20 videos of real karens screaming at people not wearing masks. Sorry, didn't happen.
It's a simple request...don't bring your guns to church.
So I don't wear a side iron to church....
Worst case scenario is I leave it in my locked truck.

Now with the Obvious and well known pandemic it's not like everyone doesn't have a mask or access to one.

Personal beliefs about efficacy are not relevant. You are NEVER going to convince others to your point of view of whichever side you are on.

So bullying your way into an establishment that demands masking is not just rude it is terrorism. A manner of behavior which inflicts inflict terror on those inside.

So you admit you are usually infected...that's why they want you to wear a mask.
What would be far more effective is to take the temperature outside the office/store and if he has a fever don't let him in.

I find this view extraordinary, since we now have dozens and dozens of proper scientific studies on masks.

The New York Times, a very progressive paper, even quoted these studies and said,
"The Mask Mandates Did Nothing. Will Any Lessons Be Learned?"

Likely it was done with poor science...the NYT is not a scientific journal or knowledgeable about what constitutes good science from bad science.

Considering it's track record lately I don't believe much from them anymore about anything.
The standards for journalism in the MSM have fallen drastically.

So no proof.

So as per my original....my position is not changed.

Are we supposed to care what people wear and what they do with their lives?
As a Christian loving people, I do care.
Because the antimaskers are the ones who are infected...
John, in the beginning of Covid, they were urging people to get vaccinated saying it was protective against catching the virus, a vaccine normally does this, however, this vaccine did nothing to prevent people from catching it, on the contrary it is now well known and scientifically proven that 2 covid vaccines and more will have the opposite effect, meaning you can catch covid more easily. Now the tune of the ""experts" has changed, they claimed thay never said it was protective against catching covid which is a LIE!, They did! It is also known now in the scientific litterature that most of the LONG covid cases are from vaccinated people.

It is also proven the MASKS either N95 or surgical cannot prevent respiratory viral disease like covid, they have NO benifits on the contrary they are deleterious to the wearers health if worth for a long period.

Blessings John .

I find this view exceedingly ordinary. How many people mindlessly obeyed and think about why they did. The vast majority of people are hourly employees, it seemed like a great deal, lot of people got to stay home, or debt repayment was delayed or they got a government handout. The rich were not harmed, even when small businesses were forced to close Costco was still open, Walmart was open. Churches had to close but Casinos were still open. These rules were idiotic and clearly out to harm the middle class small businessman. One woman who owned a restaurant set up picnic tables in the parking lot but the city said she couldn't do that even though in the parking lot next to hers a movie had set up the exact same thing for their workers to eat.

I see these videos where people are so stupid they couldn't possibly be faking. Stupid questions like what two countries border the US, or how many states are there, or when was the war of 1812 fought. So is it any wonder that they will mindlessly repeat whatever idiotic justification they were given for this nonsense?

You may benefit from examining the evidence I've provided.

If you read my post #269, you will find a link to the Cochrane Study, which is a collation and analysis of 78 separate scientific studies, across multiple countries, with over 600,000 test subjects.

This is THE largest and most definitive study ever done on the efficacy of masks relating to viral transmission.
There are no other studies that come anywhere close to the scope of this study.
The lead scientist was a PhD epidemiologist from Oxford.

The New York Times article I mentioned was merely covering this enormous new study.

Take care.

I'm not going to bother.

I honestly will NEVER believe that masks do not help keep a person from spreading a virus that they unknowingly are carrying.

Too much previous, often repeated scientific evidence to the contrary.

And my premise that there is no evidence or anything that anyone can say that will persuade anyone of anything ever.

I have an issue with wearing pants....and I can show and link to all kinds of studies about how wearing pants are harmful for me and the environment....but they still make me wear them in public.

And not wearing pants does not inflict terror.

So guess what?

Antimaskers are still terrorists inflicting terror and fear on all those around them.

Well you sure don't live in the south! lol There were some shootings on the news at churches and our pastor wanted to talk about safety measures. Mind you I attend a tiny country church, the average age is 70. So pastor asks who is packing heat. Only three weren't, myself, and my parents, all Canadian transplants. The entire church cracked up.

Now with the Obvious and well known pandemic it's not like everyone doesn't have a mask or access to one.

Not a matter of personal beliefs even the ever slanted MSM pinned Fauci on it with the studies that prove they don't work, facts, not beliefs. He simply said he believes they work. What else is he gonna say?!

So bullying your way into an establishment that demands masking is not just rude it is terrorism. A manner of behavior which inflicts inflict terror on those inside.
Ok, so the summer of love was terrorism. Funny I didn't see them rounded up and put in prison and held with a trail. In fact it was the opposite, they had the RIGHT to go out and stay in the streets during the pandemic. Hundreds upon hundreds of them. In the streets, in stores and restaurants, harassing people. But that wasn't terrorism, the terrorism is the fact that they weren't wearing masks, got it.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard yet. If you stood by a person with a mask hanging under their nose, a scarf thrown over their mouth, people that touch their face a hundred times to adjust their mask and you thought you were safer than standing beside me with no mask, have I got some prime land for you!! rofl

No you can't. You can't find factual studies that show that wearing pants are harmful for you. The environment, heck breathing is harmful, if they could kill every human being but themselves they'd be hysterically happy.

Post a pic of you not wearing pants and let us be the judge of that!

Right, because they are morons who believe what they are told and don't question it. The masks did no good, now we have facts to back that up. You don't have to be the brightest bulb on the tree to understand a plastic partition between you and the cashier doing your groceries isn't stopping the Rona. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that a tent in the parking is still INSIDE. You don't have to be a MENSA member to understand that wearing a mask to your table at a restaurant and then eating at the table doesn't stop the Rona, and then putting your mask back on to leave. I was at a Hobby Lobby store and a guy was standing there taking carts from people as the left, the would wipe the handle with a cloth then reach for the next one and do the same thing. I stood there watching him thinking, if you're to dumb to figure this out I don't have the time of day to stop and explain it to you. If you believe arrows and 6ft, not 10, not 5, was the magic number not to get the Rona, you deserve to be terrorized and live in fear because you don't have the brains God gave a goose. I think the vast majority of Americans know that none of that worked, the vax didn't work and when they try to push it this time they are going to get a big push back!! They abused their powers and people lost faith in their nonsense. Watch and see.

So you feel powerful by terrorizing those around you...
And laugh about inflicting terror on those around you? Their problem eh?

Love thy neighbor as thyself? Guess for you it's a suggestion instead of a commandment.

Since the American Civil War masking has been repeatedly proven to reduce transmission.

You have ONE questionable (at best) paper saying something different from a dubious newspaper....

Be happy proving your faith is a fraud by being a terrorist.

actually, what this is all about is legality.
when covid hit, and mitigation was put in place, restaurants did take out only.

i went into a fast food place about a week in, got my takeout, and left.

then, about 2 weeks later, it was drive thru only.

why? what changed?

corporate lawyers decided that employees could still sue for unsafe work place because, even though no one was sitting and eating inside, they were still directly interacting with customers, raising the chance they could contract covid.

so, drive through only.

nothing to do with health, all to do with not getting sued.

There are many places in the US that do not mandate masks, and there are a number of places that do. If it means that much to you move to where you are more comfortable.

On the one hand NY was lauded as the gold standard on how to deal with the pandemic and they had shut downs, quarantines and mask mandates. On the other hand they had the most deaths, and the highest per capita incidence of serious covid infections.

On the other hand Florida was lambasted for being a super spreader state that did not respect the science and that put all their seniors at risk. However, they had far fewer deaths than NY despite having a larger population. Compared to the results they did much better than NY.

Cuomo seemed to have a bright political future at the time, now he is done. Desantis was under constant attack and now he is a respected presidential candidate.

But the point is, who cares? If JohnDB wants to wear a mask and demands everyone else in his community do that then we can use that community as lab rats to test out the hypothesis. If Florida chooses not too then we can compare the results of the two communities.

Given the choice I will not wear a mask and they are not mandated in my town and I very rarely ever see anyone wearing one in this town. If a business wants to mandate a mask I'll simply stop doing business with them. I recognize their right to enforce that rule, just like no shoes, no shirt no service. And I recognize my right to decide who I will do business with.

But just because I don't wear a mask doesn't mean I don't appreciate those that do. Because they do wear the masks and mandate them we can study the effects on them.

But also favoring restaurants like McDonalds that had already made drive thru a big part of their business model while harming the small businesses that didn't have drive through.
