Do you even know what a Karen is? Karens are the force maskers who get in people's face for not wearing one and complaining to management if they see someone no wearing one. Those of us who don't want to wear a mask just want to be left alone. So, why do all force-maskers behave like entitled Karens?

I am sure many of us have seen people who have a mask on but not covering their nose below their mouth and chin. So they are not fully masked but insist that you wear one. They are not even wearing it correctly. The people who insist on wearing mask why are they so upset? If they have been vaccinated and the shots work, then why are they worried about us. I heard Meghan Kelly say she had the vaccine and still got Covid 4 times. She regrets getting the shots.

The argument isn't that masks do nothing, of any kind, ever, under any circumstances.
That isn't the claim.
Various kinds of cheap masks are effective at stopping various kinds of things.... just not the spread of airborne virus.
The claim against mask use is very specific:
MASKS DO NOT PREVENT TRANSMISSION OF AIRBORNE VIRUSES.
Many governments claimed masks DO prevent transmission of airborne viruses... but the scientific evidence, which is a very large body of data, shows the opposite.

Current Scientific Data On Mask Use:
The Cochrane Study, the largest to date on the efficacy of masks to stop airborne viral transmission, was a massive study that collated 78 clinical trials, across multiple countries, with 610,872 participants.
It concluded that masks do nothing to stop transmission of airborne virus.
Excerpts:
Regarding surgical masks:
"The pooled results of RCTs (random clinical trials) did not show a clear reduction in respiratory viral infection with the use of medical/surgical masks. "
- No evidence they do anything whatsoever - in stopping the spread of airborne virus.
Regarding N95 masks:
"There were no clear differences between the use of medical/surgical masks compared with N95/P2 respirators in healthcare workers when used in routine care to reduce respiratory viral infection."
- The N95 mask is equally ineffective as a surgical mask - in stopping the spread of airborne virus.

I think the difference is that some people are so religious about masks they will attack anyone who is unmasked, while those who are against mask mandates don't care if you wear a mask or not, they are simply strongly against a government mandate to wear a mask.
Some of the regulations were idiotic, like you had to wear a mask in a restaurant until you were at your seat, then you could take it off?!

Actual scientific data:
a.) Masks do not stop airborne transmission of viruses. (see post #269)
b.) People with previous covid vaccines may be MORE SUSCEPTIBLE to catching other variants. (see below)
The CDC recently published data, right on their website, stating that you may be MORE LIKELY to catch the new covid variant if you've had a previous covid vaccine.
So the previous vaccines seem to increase your chance of catching the latest strain of covid.
Umm.... this would seem to put vaccinated individuals into a higher risk group than the unvaccinated.
