Who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven?

It is a most important question, what must be done to be part of the kingdom of Heaven and have eternal life?

Looking forward to discuss with anyone who is interested.

Blessings.

From the beginning of our time, we enter the kingdom of heaven through blood. Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Until Christ came and was crucified, the sacrifice of blood for our forgiveness, necessary for our salvation, was done symbolically. If the Hebrews sacrificed animals for any reason than for their forgiveness, the Lord did not accept that sacrifice. Isaih 1;17
Stop bringing meaningless offerings!
Your incense is detestable to me.

When Christ wipes us clean of our sins we can enter the kingdom of heaven. We then are not our own but we belong to Christ, led in all our being and actions by Christ.

Be born again of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God (1 Peter 1:23).

thank you Blik, I have a question on your last phrase of the post;""When Christ wipes us clean of our sins we can enter the kingdom of heaven. We then are not our own but we belong to Christ, led in all our being and actions by Christ""

I agree with it that Christ paid the penalty of sin but would like more specifics, do you mean that we belong to christ because we believe in him or because we follow his teachings. I know people have different views on this.

Thank you and Blessings.

Thank you for your reply but I have a hard question too. What does it mean to believe in Jesus? many do and like scriptures says devils believe also but as you know they are not saved.

Blessings

Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus said that those born of water and Spirit will enter the kingdom. (John 3:3-5) The message that parallels Jesus' words was presented on the Day of Pentecost after the Holy Ghost was shed forth by Jesus. "Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ (water) for the remission of sin and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Spirit) Obedience is essential for all those living in the NT. Jesus is the author of salvation unto all those who obey Him. (Heb. 5:9)

In James 2:19, we see that the demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God" but they do not believe in/have faith in/trust in/reliance in Jesus Christ for salvation (which is what it means to believe in Christ unto salvation).

So, in other words, the demons do not believe in/on the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31) and are not saved. Their trust and reliance is in Satan, as demonstrated by their rebellion in heaven and continuous evil works.

(Heb. 5:9)
Jesus did say that those born of water and Spirit will enter the kingdom (John 3:3-5) and that message parallels Jesus' words in John 4:10 - “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water" and John 4:14 - but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life and John 7:37-39 - On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. 1 Corinthians 12:13 also says drink into one Spirit.

Also "water" is used in Scripture as an emblem of the word of God, and in such uses it is associated with cleansing or washing. (John 15:3; Ephesians 5:26) When we are born again, the Holy Spirit begets new life, so that we are said to become "partakers of the divine nature." (2 Peter 1:4) The new birth is brought to pass through "incorruptible seed, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever" (I Peter 1:23) and the Holy Spirit accomplishes the miracle of regeneration. (Titus 3:5)

The kingdom of heaven is a way of life made available in Christ by the Holy Spirit.

The kingdom of God is ”..righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

All who are in Christ have been brought into the Kingdom.

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”

Life that is eternal originates from the eternal throne of God. It is not just life that never expires, it is a way of life characterized by a mindset of wisdom and understanding that comes from God our Father.

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

Those who are in Christ are in the Kingdom of God today and forever.

Romans 10:9 - Confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and in your heart, believe God raised Jesus from the dead, and you shall be saved.

Get rid of all pride, and your will and give it all to Jesus. Trust in Jesus with all your heart, like its the only thing left on the earth and be ready to walk away from everything that's worldly. Pride is in owning the best car, house,, etc. , these are idols of the world to worship.
