I think I understand the problem it if of the the usage of ""LAW"" or ""commandments,"" they are not obviously the same and the meaning fand usage of both is different. the commandments see my post 156.

Blessings.
The law and commandments of the law are the same things. The law was changed by completely being replaced by the new covenant and it's law at the cross, but you don't believe we are in the new covenant yet so there is no common ground to work with here.

The commandments in the context of the NT are commonly referred as the law. I always refer to the commandments not the mosaic law. The commandments will not pass away until the new covenant comes in effect when GOD will write the commandments in our hearts. it is clearly not the case as the majority still rejects the 10 commandments as something impossible to follow which is not the case, following the commandments is a requirement for entering eternal life, It here is a plenty of scripture to prove this. I just wish people would understand this. Only the true believers who do the father's will can inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessings.
so you believe all of Deuteronomy was deleted except for chapter 5?

What about the words of Jesus who says;

Mat 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
Mat 5:18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Mat 5:19 So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Why are you against the words of our lord Jesus, he is the only way to eternal life please do follow his teachings.

Blessings.
In verse 18...until everything is accomplished...what is the everything being spoken of?

prove it using scripture.
Hebrews 9:15-17 Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may
receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the
transgressions committed under the first covenant. In the case of a will, it is necessary to
establish the death of the one who made it, because a will does not take effect until the one
who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

in the NT the enteirety of Moses and also the Psalms are referred to as "the Law"

nowhere is only Deuteronomy 5:6-21 called "the Law" and nowhere is everything in the Pentateuch & Psalms *except* Deuteronomy 5:5-21 called "the Law"

The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus was the crux of all of history. It is not to be understood by what is written about it. What is written about it is to be understood by what it accomplished.

Isn't it amazing how those who go on and on about no jot or tittle being removed from the law
almost always say that this aspect and/or that aspect are no longer in effect but the rest of it is?
.:oops::rolleyes:

People would understand the new heavens and new earth better if they understood better exactly how the cross changed everything.

I have never been a very politically oriented person... though when P.E.T. was coming to power here,
I did sit up and take notice of what was going on, and that at a fairly young age, and again I really
took notice in 2016, though then it was concerning what was going on south of the border
. :)

I've always been fascinated by politics and how people are content to be governed or ruled. We live in very interesting times.

This is true! Interesting times indeed. Surely it takes a great investment in time and mental/intellectual faculties to follow all the players and who said what to whom and who did what when and why. And then it comes down to he said/she said and a lot of hearsay. It seems like a lot of work that my brain or mind looks at the complexity of and decides, it is too much to try to sort out all the details. The big picture is a different story, though, and certainly as a Christian it seems we can distill it all down to more elemental forces. History likewise eluded me for a very long time; perhaps it was the way it was presented in school, a mere rote memorizing of facts and figures that was so dry it did not engage me. That has changed with age... as I love a good historical drama. The monarchy, for instance, is fascinating historically, and I have watched a lot of shows, series, documentaries, movies, etc, on them, and enjoyed a great many of them... books, too! But don't expect me to be able to tell you who King Edward XIV was. LOL. Oh. He doesn't exist. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Maybe I am thinking of Louis. Or VI.

I loved that you left it and laughed rather than correcting it. It just shows that there were far too many kings.

And they had zero imagination when it came to names! LOL

My brain just doesn't seem to be wired that way, to remember all those facts and figures.

I can accept that. And it only gets worse as I age .:unsure::ROFL:
