What did they preach after becoming disciples? What was their message?

Matthew 10
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Ephesians 3:1 - For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power. 8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ.

That was not part of the content of the gospel which the twelve, John the Baptist, and Jesus Christ were preaching before the cross. Yet, they were still preaching the gospel of the kingdom to Israel.

Jesus Christ sent the twelve to preach only to Israel. Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ The disciples were specifically told to go only to the people of Israel, and they were not preaching anything yet about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ or that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel.

In Matthew 16:15, Jesus Christ asked His disciples, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

Now Peter had no clue that Jesus Christ would be crucified and resurrected, although he did believe that Jesus was the Messiah. This is obvious when, only moments later, Peter rebukes Jesus Christ for saying he will be killed, and be raised again the third day" (Matthew 16:21). In verse 22, "..Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

Before His death, Jesus told the twelve that he had to die and that he would rise on the third day. However, it is unquestionable that the disciples were ignorant of its meaning.

“Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem,…And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. – Luke 18:31-34. hmm... that's strange if the gospel that came through a revelation of Jesus Christ to Paul (Galatians 1:11-12) and was a mystery prior to that has the same content as the gospel of the kingdom. *This is where we need to RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH.

After his crucifixion, instead of anxiously waiting his resurrection, the apostles were still ignorant, disheartened at the death of their redeemer, and did not even at first believe the testimony of his resurrection. (Mark 16:14, Luke 24:19-24)

It was not until after his resurrection that Jesus appeared to the apostles and opened their understanding. (Luke 24:44-47)

*In this age, there is a distinct element to the content of the gospel which is called "the mystery of the gospel" (see Ephesians 6:19 and compare with Colossians 1:26-27; 4:3). This new revelation is that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise (Ephesians 3:6). Such equality, Jew and Gentile united together in one body was previously unknown.

In Galatians 1:11-12, Paul said - But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. The distinct message for the church today is that Jew and Gentile alike may believe the gospel and be united together into one body. (Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:13).

One thing I have learned here is that if you quote anything Paul did not write that mentions obedience many people will accuse you of "justified by works" type doctrines. It is really crazy. Jude warned of this

Jude 1:4, “For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness (#766) and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”

Using His mercy for a license to sin
Jude is exhorting believers to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (vs. 3) because certain ungodly men who have crept in unnoticed. Jude further describes these ungodly men as ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit (vs. 19). In CONTRAST to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and PRESERVED in Jesus Christ (vs. 1).

Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice and does not forsake His saints; They are PRESERVED FOREVER, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

Paul wrote about obedience quite often and for good reason. Doctrine too.
Christians are diligent about both. But not perfectly. It varies.....a lot.

Again, all believers in Christ have been given a new heart that desires to please God, however, we believers understand that our acceptance with God and our righteousness before Him is strictly by the Imputed Righteousness of Christ . Its His Suretyship obedience that constitutes His People righteous Rom 5:19 before God, not their own, even when coming from a new heart. Heres the hope of a True Christian friend, Phil 3:9

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Isa 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Thats the righteousness faith looks to and lives by,

That Righteousness is perfect satisfaction to Gods Law and Justice,

Isa 42:21

21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Your conversation focuses on the persons obedience, it seems to have the preeminence in your conversation, and not Christs obedience and imputed righteousness,

And its His Righteousness that gives us security and peace forever, its an everlasting righteousness Dan 9:24

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Indeed Isiah made 2 great points there as Isa 54:17I believe is a nexample of how we would be viewed without mercy, on our own merits.

Isa 42:21 however I believe this was speaking on Yahshua's walk while on Earth, for He showed how to abide in the Law within it's true intent, love.

Mat 7:12-14, "Therefore, all things you want men to do to you, do the same to them, for this is the (intent/Spirit of the) Law and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."

This is why John said:

1 John 5:2-3, “By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy.”

You are ignoring the specifics of the new heart and even telling me im "focusing on obedience" and others say "justified by works"

Hebrews 10:16, “This is the covenant that I shall make with them after those days, says יהוה, giving My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I shall write them.”

I suppose if people reject His Law then they can't post/agree with this, do you believe His Law is in your heart and if it is in the heart is it to be followed?

Your conversation focuses on the persons obedience
Can you quote where I made this focus? So I may swiftly repent? Or can you not find a single place I put obedience as chief importance in entering His kingdom?

What I see here is anytime I post a Scripture about obedience at all Im strrongly disagreed with at minimum or even called names.

So I await you to quote one of my posts where I put obedience before faith, if not then you shold not say it if it is not true.

Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

People who Christ died for were legally saved, reconciled to God while enemies and unbelievers. Do you doubt a reconciled to God person is saved ?
Funny you picked up right were

Read the context

Romans 5:6-10,For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person-though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die-but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life."

Does not mean people are going to enter the kingdom faithless

It is more in line with this:

Matthew 9:12-13, “And יהושע hearing this, said to them, “Those who are strong have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means, ‘I desire compassion and not offering.’ (Hos 6:6) For I did not come to call the righteous to repentance, but sinners.

Do you realize a person has no faith until they have been regenerated by the Spirit ? Faith tht pleases God is a Sanctification by the Spirit blessing when one is saved Spiritually 2 Thess 2:13

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

No sanctification of the Spirit, no faith or belief of the Truth.

Now if you talking about the faith of a unregenerate person, then thats the flesh, it doesnt please God, and it is required by the Law Matt 23:23

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

If thats the faith you speak of, you are under the Law and by the deeds of the Law no one will be Justified before God.
No one is saved without even praying/calling out/believeing with a shred of faith

There is a difference between levels of spiritual maturity, someone who thinks maybe He is the way, and calls out to Him in prayer, is day 1, then they will mature and grow in faith, knowledge and walk.

John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Yah remains on him.”

I agree, nice commentary. However you missed the licentiousness part " wicked ones perverting the favor of our Elohim for licentiousness"

Jude 1:4,For certain men have slipped in, whose judgment was written about long ago, wicked ones perverting the favor of our Elohim for licentiousness, and denying the only Master יהוה and our Master יהושע Messiah.”

“licentiousness “ is word G#766 - aselgeia: licentiousness, wantonness
Original Word: ἀσέλγεια, ας, ἡ Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine Transliteration: aselgeia Phonetic Spelling: (as-elg'-i-a) Short Definition: wantonness, lewdness Definition: (outrageous conduct, conduct shocking to public decency, a wanton violence), wantonness, lewdness

Some people use His mercay as an excuse to sin, or as a license to sin...

Again that is why I dont get why so many on here, never happened to me like this in real life, but on this site people freak out about any talk of obedience, and when I ask them to quote where I put obedience before faith no one has ever quoted me saying that, yet i get called names at times....

There is notihing wrong with this following passage, it is true, yet I get a lot of pushback when I post it.

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding (G5083) the Commands (G1785) of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Notice that they who call upon the name of the Lord must believe and hear in order to desire to call upon His name. They are those whose hearts were first changed by God. That change occurs only through the process of becoming born again. True belief, along with spiritual hearing, are given as a fruit of the Spirit by rebirth. Until and unless that occurs, the heart of man remains deceitful above all things and therefore cannot they truly call upon the name of the Lord. They cannot call upon the name of the Lord (though they think they can) because their trust actually rests in themselves and in their actions, not in God's with Him as the Saviour, and so by that, their call is actually to themselves. The "shall be saved" is in the future tense, referring to the salvation of the last day - it is the final manifestation of salvation given upon Christ's return, not the salvation experienced during one's lifetime, however, that salvation must occur first to them. Those not saved during their lifetimes neither will experience the salvation of the last day.
By those verses, God is saying that it is the task of those already born again is to share the gospel, by which, the newly born again having been given faith and spiritual hearing by God, become edified and learn of, and about, Christ. However, those who hear only with human ears cannot hear.

[Eze 36:26 KJV]
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

[Jer 17:9 KJV]
9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?

[Rom 3:11-12 KJV]
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The elect, until being saved, are just as sinful as are the non-elect. God gives true faith as a fruit of the Spirit. God requires nothing from those He saves - it is a gift with no preconditions associated to it, except that God had chosen them for it. I've posted numerous times to you that true faith is a fruit of the Sprit, which is from being born again, which is from salvation, but you seem to be unable to recognize or comprehend that fact.

[Gal 5:22 KJV]
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

[Tit 3:4-7 KJV]
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

The gospel of the kingdom was good news for the Jews concerning the restoration of the kingdom of Israel. God had promised to thier fathers a King, of the seed of David, who would deliver them from their enemies that they could serve God without fear. Jesus was this Messiah. The good news of the cross was a mystery.

read the full chapter context of Roman’s 10. Paul is clearly talking about salvation in this current life from unbelief to belief and that is the same salvation we see fully revealed at the last day. It’s the same salvation. We simply become glorified. That last day salvation is the reality we live from today. For we know that Jesus said “It is finished.” Pay attention to the past tense.

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Their faith was in themselves because it was of themselves, not of God. The only true faith is one given by God. Many people
have a false faith, but that doesn't make it faith. Unless someone believes in Christ as Saviour (which you do not), then they do not believe in the Son.
You are the one twisting scripture probably because you have no spiritual understanding.

Obey the command of the Son to believe on Him. The transgression of which is the one and ONLY eternally fatal act of disobedience.

Obey the command of the Son to believe on Him. The transgression of which is the one and ONLY eternally fatal act of disobedience.
No murder is still wrong, stealing is still wrong, etc.

How can you say a believer can do bad things, that is the oppoisite of the walk of the believer.

Matthew 7:15-20
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Jude 1:4,For certain men have slipped in, whose judgment was written about long ago, wicked ones perverting the favor of our Elohim for licentiousness, and denying the only Master יהוה and our Master יהושע Messiah.”

Using His mercy for a license to sin is bad thing.
